Marseille offers the tastes of France right in the middle of New York's Theater District. A perfect place for your group to gather before or after your time at the theater.View Private Dining Details
I loved this place. On our first trip to New York, we ate there and loved. We had brunch with friends two days later and recommended it. They loved it too! 5 star service with thoughtfully prepared delicious food.
Marseille never disappoints. It's consistently wonderful from the food to the service to the ambiance. It's my go to restaurant whenever I go to the theater - which I do regularly!
Pre-theater brunch, we loved it.
We enjoyed our brunch at Marseille. They have a lot of options, all of which were delicious and bottomless mimosas for $19 (less than the cost of 2). I would definitely go back!
The food was terrible. This is not even close to an authentic French restaurant. The restaurant uses low quality ingredients, especially when it comes to the steak they offer. Hanger Steak is garbage and myself and 3 friends got the steak frittes (new York strip) and not one of us could even eat it. The meat was so tough and fatty. This is a times square tourist trap. As some one that lives in the city, I'm telling you search more and try one of the hundreds of other restaurants. Save your money by avoiding this place.
Reliably fine dining in a relaxed bistro setting. Have been coming for years and always enjoy the meal. Nice mixture of standard menu and seasonal variations.
Went for lunch. The best. Big windows and watch the world of 9th Avenue go by. Terrific food--cooked to order. Johnny our waiter made us very comfortable. A great place. I love coming to eat here day or night.
Our waiter, Manny, was the best! He made us feel like we were his only patrons. Authentic French atmosphere.
I have been to Marseilles many times and they have never disappointed. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Theater District. The menu offers many choices and there is a very nice price fixe lunch. The service is attentive and everything my group ate was delicious. If you are in the city Marseilles is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner
Good service. They knew we were heading to a matinee and we had plenty of time. Price Fix lunch was incredibly Generous servings. Good value
Good food and service. Wine list with nice selection and good price points.
Marseille is our go to for pre-theatre. Service is solid and food is always well prepared and fresh. Well priced wine list. Definitely recommend!
Great food and wine as always. Close to the theatres and quick service makes this a great pre- or post-théâtre stop!
pre and post theater, great service, lovely room, even full feels festive but never too loud or crowded.
Cocktails, food, wine, dessert were all wonderful - tasty, perfectly prepared, and simply presented. The hostess and service were excellent. The only flaw was that our very engaging and informed waiter was unavailable for too long, after we had finished eating and needed the check. Another table was holding his attention, seeming not to want him to leave! He was that good. I highly recommend Marseille when you're entertaining an out-of-towner.
Since my Mom and I don't drink we really enjoy the iced cappuccinos and hot cappuccino. Very good thank you
Our experience for brunch at Marseille was just what we would have wanted. The reservation was honored and the food and service was above average. A great location for a before theatre meal.
Good food, price and service.
this is an annual event when we are in NYC. We love this place for brunch. I ordered my regular spinach and feta omelet and my fiance ordered the crab benedict. I love the fresh greens that accompany our egg dishes. Very fresh with a light dressing. So yummy! can't wait to go again!
The goat cheese tart was the standout of the excellent food we had. Wonderful desserts, as expected.
The waiter was most attentive. The food presentation was excellent. It's one of our favorite haunts.
Delicious escargot excellent onion soup and lovely deserts.
Our waiter was very attentive.
Great atmosphere, excellent service, tasty and well presented food.
Always reliable. Great price fix menu. Love the Thurs night wine deal!
Had the goat cheese tart it was excellent then the chicken again excellent three had the trout and raved always delicious and excellent service
Marsailles is a lovely restaurant to enjoy with a friend that you want to converse with. The ambiance is relaxing and the staff are very nice. The food's great too!
Have been to Marseille a number of time and always find the food and experience to be very good (although the prices are a little higher than I think is warranted). Had the trout, which I enjoyed. My friends ordered a pasta dish and the chicken and were happy with the food. The chocolate mousse was a great way to end the mail.
The waiter was very solicitous initially but then vanished for a while. He also just dropped dessert menus on the table without asking if we wanted any.
It's a very solid restaurant near the Theatre District and I'll be going back.
We were 4 old friends meeting for dinner and a play and Marseille was perfect for our get together. Close to the theater, great food choices for the fussy among us, and a lovely place to relax and talk over what has been happening. Everyone's enjoyed their different choices, each dish ooh'd and ah'd over, and a reasonable price for a very enjoyable 3 course dinner.
A perennial favorite....interesting menu, comfortable with relatively low noise levels, excellent service, and great cooking. Top pick for pre/post theater.
Portions were pretty small for the price.
We had such a nice brunch at Marseilles. We had a great waiter, Josh, who was very professional, personable and helpful. Our food was delicious. I had the crab and egg omelette with caviar. My friend had the Lorraine omelette. Both meals were excellent. The only drawback was a couple next to us who were literally shouting instead of talking in a normal tone of voice. It was so difficult to hear my friend across the table. Otherwise a lovely meal and experience.
Love the snails!
New York is full of good restaurants, but Marseille stands out. Service, combined with delicious food, mixed with atmosphere, make it a treasure. Cannot recommend enough
I love this place, try to go once/twice a month for bunch!! Best frenchtoast!!💕
Nice place for brunch before theatre and it is consistently good.
The food is good. Some items are better than others. Shakshuka was just ok. Omelette was good. Service on this visit was not nearly as good as our last month’s visit, which made it kind of a drag. But the ambience is nice and drinks are pretty good. All in all a good value for pre-theater meal.
Always love Marseille. Went for their brunch for the first time and had a lot of fun with the bottomless mimosas. Shout out to our waiter Johnny who was excellent!
Lovely service, great drinks, and wonderful tasting food in a pretty room.
So I used to eat here a lot, and brought a friend because we were craving a good croque madame sandwich. This used to be good here. The sandwich came with two thick slaps of cold, untoasted bread. The inside was melted, but to have lukewarm mornay sauce poured over raw bread was not appealing. Truly disappointed. Will give them one more shot at some point.
As always, great food and amazing service. Never disappointed. They made special note of my boyfriend’s birthday. Thank you!
