The food is outstanding. I've made several trips to various areas of the eastern Mediterranean, the food at Maroun is equal to or superior to any that I've had anywhere. Particularly good:
I plan to go through the rest of the menu on subsequent visits.
Great food and good prices , would definitely recommend this place !
The food came in larger then expected portions for some of those that ate with us. However, it was absolutely devine. True to genuine Lebanonese cooking. Will definitely return when I have more money to spend. Is a tad spendy.
Delicious food and nice ambiance. Service was excellent.
Great place for Mediterranean food! We were 6 of us including a vegetarian and everyone loved the food! Service was great!
The food is consistently good with large portions. Excellent options for vegetarians. The traditional salmon dish is delicious for those who like spicy dishes. Good table set-up for privacy and distancing. Service is always superb! Thank you!
Going to the valley, have to book an early table because they get slammed just before a performance but they manage well! Love the food!
Food was just ok. We ordered ouzi shredded lamb. Sounded great. What we got was pretty dry shawarma on rice with lots of garlic and a touch of yogurt. Would not order it again. Server was nice but when we first ordered the shredded lamb he said, ok so shawarma lamb? We said no. Shredded. Maybe he gave us the shawarma? Cauliflower appetizer was fine. We went as it was across from the ballet and so convenient. I would not go back which is a shame as I love middle eastern food.
A great place to eat before the ballet or other event. Walking distance. Its one of my happy places.
So great to have Mashawi back under a new name. The middle eastern food is still excellent and the service great. The location very near McCaw Hall can't be beat for a preshow dinner.
Quick attentive service, very friendly, large portions, recommended for any pre-McCaw Hall event. Very affordable.
Always the best food, no matter what you order...everything is exceptional.
As always, excellent food. Grilled prawns were spectacular. Hummus superb. Great service and nice atmosphere.
We have eaten at Mashawi three times now, and we love it. The food is delicious. The romaine lettuce in the salad is fresh and crisp; the pastry in the spanakopita is flaky and buttery; the garlic sauce is potent and flavorful. The menu is expansive. The staff are friendly and helpful. I will say that it can be very busy, and sometimes we wait awhile to have our orders taken. So if you are headed there pre-concert or opera be sure to build in that time. And be prepared to take home some of that delicious food, because the servings are very generous.
Excellent food in the Lavant style of Arabic food! Amazing appetizers and tasty main dishes. Yummy lamb! Kibbeh ground beef croquette appetizer is our fave! Get the Serbian dude to wait your table and your meal will be sublime and flawless!
Food was really good and had huge portions had to take some home in a box. Actually, everyone I saw was taking home some of it in a box... LOL
Generous portions. You could get several options and split them family style. Mezze plate is wonderful.
Delicious food, good value,Could be a weekly habit
Portions are huge but the overall experience was a bit uneven- including a good splash of red wine on a purse. And how can you go wrong on Baklava in a Greek restaurant?
My wife and I enjoy the very good food with friendly and efficient service that is very convent to excellent events at the Seattle Center.
Nice and quiet. Very friendly servers and great food. Will definately try agaon!
Friendly service, delicious food
Generous portions...the only minor comment is the gyro and meat may have not been Charbroiled in that minute but the deep fried cauliflower, hummus, and Moroccan lamb shank were excellent!!
This restaurant is always great. The food is always amazing, the waiters and waiters always friendly.
Always enjoy Mashawi. I've been eating there for at least six years. The menu is consistent and the service efficient. Perfect for pre-performance dining.
Excellent choice before or after an event at the Seattle Center. Excellent service and portions are so large that you'll have enough for your next meal!
Went here cuz of the Mediterranean food and proximity to the Maxwell hotel. Turned out great. Delicious food. My only caveat would be that the portions are actually too big. Otherwise, go have some lamb!
Pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. Very tasty authentic food with a lot of variety, including vegetarian.
This place always provides massive amounts of excellent food at reasonable prices. Parking can be tough, but if you can get there, it's worthwhile.
Great surprise! We've been looking for a Lebanese/Greek menu, and Mashawi fit the bill perfectly. Large servings, Fun atmosphere. Local crowd. We will return.
I've been working my way through the menu for about six years now. Everything is delicious and they cook food exactly how you like it. Most main dishes come with too much rice. But the whole meal is big enough that you can take home a sizeable portion for lunch or dinner the next day. And the marination is even better the second time around.
Marshawi has a great location near the Opera House. Its food is flavorful and tasty, especially the lamb dishes. Every time we have been there, the place is busy and moderately noisy with the noise of serving and patrons talking. Make reservations through Open Table to avoid a wait.
The food was delicious, as always. I look forward to the tasty dolmas every time.
GreT value for main dishes. Huge portions and very flavorful
Mashawi is our go-to for a pre-show dinner. There were a lot of guests and the initial service was slow as they accommodated the rush, but once we ordered our food made it to the table quickly. As always, our meal was delicious.
Based on prior reviews, I was expecting the food and experience to be exceptional; however, the atmosphere and food were average, and service was okay. The shish tawouk was tender but dry, and had a stringent flavor to it that the creamy garlic sauce that’s put on what seems everything doesn’t completely compensate for. My husband is not a fan of this kind of sauce either so was not jazzed that his dish came out covered in it as well. I’m sure there are some real winning dishes here, but we didn’t find them and were left wondering if we’d have been better off getting kebabs from the stall in the Armory at the Seattle Center.
Always great food and the staff is friendly and nice
Great service, delicious food and huge portions!
A friend from Redmond suggested this restaurant to me as she knows i really like middle-eastern food but am fussy about it. what a fabulous find!!! We were up for the weekend in Seattle so made a reservation...oh my....delicious, wonderful, pretty,delicious...did i say delicious??? wow.
Superb food. Very good service. This was our second time visiting and we will definitely return.
When we walked in, I saw the sign that said they have no restrooms... After I gave my name for our reservation, I asked if they do for patrons and was told yes. Then we were taken to our table where the hostess placed the menus on the table and left. No guide to find the restrooms...no chair pullout...no mention of "your waiter will be with you shortly"...nothing. Once the waitress finally came to our table (longer wait than we should have had for such a small restaurant with few tables), we ordered beverages and food at the same time. Appetizer came out and we enjoyed it. Dinner then came (probably 20 mins after ordering, normal) and we still has not received our ordered beverages. The table next to us had no problem receiving theirs. Once we finally got our beverages by asking again for them, I wanted to get more than the spoonful of garlic sauce they put on my huge plate of rice and chicken...but nobody came by to ask how our meal was until we were long done eating. I will not patronize this establishment again.
