The food was good. Steak was a tad overcooked and not the quality of meat I’ve had at other places. Appetizers and drinks were very good. Service was a bit slow. I would go back and give them another chance, everyone has off-nights.
Great food and great place to have have some after hours drinks.
Every time we have gone to the restaurant we have always had excellent service and the meals have been great with a wide selection to choose from. There is never a rush and meals are always are cooked as requested.
The servers spent more time talking to each other outside then helping customers. We didn’t even stay for the food we paid for our drinks and left.
I enjoyed a tender steak in a space with a great vibe. The servers were extremely helpful and kind. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
This is my 5th or 6th visit. Marmont has been very consistent until now. I thought the ribeye was tough, normally I can cut right through. And I was disappointed that they took breading pudding off the restaurant week menu. Which didn’t make sense because it was the menu on open table when I made the reservation. Still my spot, just didn’t a great experience this time.
Poor service. Forgot our soup. Soup was bland. Steak spring rolls were soggy. My boyfriends crab bisque looked like it had ground beef in it. He didn’t eat it. The waiter was trying to guess what the brown chunks in the soup was. Dirty martini was all olive juice. Cosmo was watered down. Worst drinks we ever had. Mashed potatoes looked like they were microwaved left overs. Steak was ok but I don’t think the cut was ribeye. Floor was dirty. Waiter brought check then said we have desert but because it’s restaurant week we ran out and only have two kinds left. Needless to say we didn’t want desert! Save your money.
We decided to try Marmont out for restaurant week and were not impressed. We of course chose the 3 course meal option and our entrees came out before the soup and appetizers. They took the food back and then brought out the appetizers and soups together and then afterwards returned with our entrees that were not correct after giving us the correct ones the first time. The manager then told us he would buy us a round of drinks for the mix up and when we got the check he ended up charging us for the round of drinks. The waiter was walking in circles the entire time not sure of what to do next. Overall not a good experience and we will not visit this restaurant again.
Waitress was most attentive when it was time for a tip.
My potatoes was discarded, evem though I ask for the remainder to take home.
Went for Restaurant week. Ordered the Rib eye steak it was very tough, sent it back ordered the NY strip steak it was very tough. I saw others send their steaks back. And they charged us the full price without shame.
Pleasant atmosphere. Food was good overall. I ordered a ribeye steak medium, it came out med well which I could tolerate, well done I would’ve sent back. But as I said overall the food was good but priced a little on the high side but it’s a center city restaurant.
Food was on point. Awesome service ! Love the food !
Great restaurant week value. Loved the 2 starters instead of a dessert idea! Food was great, Valerie was wonderful. Glad we picked this place for dinner!
The food was extremely average for the price. More like typical local bar food. I was not impressed and would most likely not return.
It was restaurant week. Good value. Crab soup and calamari excellent. Steak- medium rare, however pretty dry. Disappointed for a steak place.
We went on a double date for Philly Restaurant Week with friends. The food was delicious. Great steak. The service, however, was very slow. Granted, it was restaurant week, and maybe a little busier than usual. But our waiter was not very attentive to our table. Each time we ordered a new round of drinks, it took about 20 minutes to bring them to us - we ordered a glass of wine and two beers in bottles. Also, my wife ordered the baked Brie off the menu. When it arrived, it appeared to have almonds in it, which she’s allergic to and this was not listed on the menu. We asked the waiter, and he came and said that there were no almonds. When asked to check again, he reported that he was wrong and there were almonds. Overall, the food was good and the environment was cool. But poor service.
I love it, it was my first time there, and it was wonderful
The atmosphere was ok and service was good. The food was not so good. I ordered from restaurant week menu. The crab bisque was good. The Newyork strip steak was ok. But the potato soup was too thick for me but my boyfriend said it was ok. The cheesesteak spring roll was greasy and I wanted to spit it out. My boyfriend and I got sangrias and you could not taste any alcohol. My boyfriend said his pork chop was cooked to hard. I was disappointed.
Excellent wine (Merlot; Cabenert Sauvignon). Crab soup the best we ever had and we are in our 70s. Excellent bread pudding and cheese cake. Steaks were OK, no taste ;with only mashed pot no vegetable. Floor was dirty. Overall, above average. We will try it again.
We went for steak and the steak was not wonderful. For this reason alone I would not go back. The steaks were grizzly and tough to chew. We didn't realize we hit restaurant week, so we got a good value for $35: soup, app and meal. Several in my party thought the crab soup and the lobster ravioli was too fishy tasting, but I felt they were tasty. We had reservations exactly at 3 pm when the restaurant opened so it was very quiet and hard to get a good vibe on the ambiance.
Service was very slow, one meal at a time coming out for a table of 4, over cooked food, not a good experience
The restaurant overall is very small and quite disorganized I’m not sure if it’s because of restaurant week or this is the norm. I had a reservation and still had to wait luckily for me the bartender was great!! Wasn’t impressed with the entree I got but the steaks looked delicious... not sure if I would return
If this was my first time I would never and I mean never go back. The hostess was rude, the medium steak I ordered was well done and dry. The service was just ok. I could of had a better meal at Texas Roadhouse. This is supposed to be an upscale restaurant and it was subpar at best.
The service was 3 1/2 ! It was quite BUSY ! The table seating was TIGHT ! And We were placed RIGHT at the door with ppl walking and talking over Your food ! The atmosphere was more bustling as the game was on and some ppl were out celebrating ! I’ve already made plans to come back for a regular visit and NOT just restaurant week ! The FOOD was outstanding ! Thanks for having Us !
Lavatories need updating. They are very old and nasty.
Service was great all around. The food was delicious and everyone was very friendly. I enjoyed dinner with my coworkers. My daughter and I will return this week.
The atmosphere and service was very good. Ordered a Ribeye during restaurant week and it had a delicious charbroiled flavor but was overcooked, dry and tough. The steak tasted as if it were previously frozen. The crab soup and calamari were very good.
We went during restaurant week. It’s a cute restaurant and the service was good. It was two of us and we both ordered the steak. Mine was ok however his was tough as leather. Than he ordered the stuffed Talapia which was less than desirable. We had leftovers from my steak and his Talapia and they both went in the trash. Perhaps lithe food is better when it’s NOT restaurant week but I will probably never know.
Place was small, unable to sit back to back with adjacent table, had to sit sideways at the table. Food was subpar, definitely overpriced for the quality. Would not return or recommend.
Overall it was wonderful
As in the past, we enjoyed the food and appreciated the excellent service.
Went here for restaurant week as I have always wanted to try this place out so this made it a perfect time to try it. Everything we ate was awful the only thing good was the service and drinks. Don't bother going. The table next to us thought the same.
Disappointing. The server was clearly inexperienced, and insisted on awkwardly trying to upsell us on beers despite no prompting or visible interest. He told us that an expensive bottle of Pellegrino was the only option for water. The crab bisque lacked any kind of fortified wine, such as sherry, and was more tomato than cream. I ordered the ribeye steak medium; it came out medium well at best. The recook came out rare. Credit to the expo, he came out personally and did his best to make things right. All version of the steak were underseasoned. The mashed potatoes were tasty, but I consider potatoes to be a bare minimum. We sat outside, so the noise and ambience were expectedly "city life". Overall, would not recommend; seems more like a tourist trap than a serious steakhouse.
Everything was great. We will be back.
Very good. Waiter was very nice !! Definitely recommend!
Dinner was delicious. Our server was the sweetest!
Our server was wonderful and sweet but I expected more out of the food.
Everything was great.
One steak was well done, when we requested medium rare. They made a new steak and it was the right temperature the second time. The quality of the steaks and the restaurant experience does not measure up to the price of the restaurant. I wouldn’t eat hear again.
Staff was very accommodating. We were seated inside, then we asked to sit outside as my guest needed air. The staff was very nice. Steaks were some of the best we’ve ever had and cooked to perfection! For desert, we hasked for bananas foster, but without alcohol. Wow, the chef outdid himself! So buttery and delicious! Sitting at the street on a beautiful end of summer night was relaxing, and we weren’t rushed at all. We parked around the corner and felt completely safe.
