Take a trip down to the vibrant Windsor end of the street and you’ll find a little piece of Turkey in the form of Marmara Restaurant, one of Australia’s longest-standing Turkish restaurants. Established all the way back in 1980, Marmara is well versed in serving up delicious grilled meats, mezze, Turkish pides and more to the people of Windsor. We recommend heading over and trying one of two banquets on offer, a fine selection of Marmara's finest home made dips, side dishes, seafood and grills including iskender, lamb fillets, chicken fillets and lamb cutlets. Vegetarians will find plenty of choice too. Amazing colourful and cosy ambience unlike any other Turkish restaurant.

Have been a fan of this restaurant for some years but was disappointed with the food this time. Ungenerous serving sizes - 4 small squares of haloumi on tired salad for $15.50 and equally underwhelming garden salad for the same price. Understand that the hospitality business has been under pressure in recent years but scrimping on serving sizes does not do the business any favours.

Nice place very good food, very nice and well meaning wait staff but everyone needs some training on service. We ordered an entree and main each. There seemed to be an issue with understanding this. One entree arrives ten minutes before the other, then after asking where is the other entree the second arrives. Two minutes later both mains arrive and we are still eating the entrees, so we ask please keep the mains warm and bring them back in ten minutes, they are taken away, and then Immediately returned and we are advised it is not possible to keep these meals warm we must eat them now. Um okay. So we shuffle all the plates around and make room and eat it all at once. Look, it’s not a big deal, but these basic things make or break an experience and if you want people to come out and eat in, you have to get it right.

Meat was excellent, dips were average, pide was disappointing, service was very good and the manager was kind enough to take the cost of the pide out of the bill.

Not good. Portions are so small. Food doesnt come with dips. Very squashy. Not suitable for kids. Do not recommend.
