Marlow's Tavern - Winter Park
A neighborhood feel is also accomplished with an open kitchen that invites diners to observe the chefs at work, communal tables in the bar and large cozy booths as part of the bar feel. Several flat screen plasma TVs are discreetly incorporated, “in-the-round”. Marlow’s is a meeting place for all seasons with spacious patios that are open year round allowing guests to enjoy cocktails and tavern specials under the stars.
Service was super slow this particular time, not normal. Took over 45 minutes to get food. But the food was great when it finally came out.
We went there for a birthday and we got seated on the patio. The waitress was great and so was the food. The chickpea fries are amazing! All the food was very good and we had a very good time.
We have been enjoying Marlow’s since the first day they opened and have never been disappointed. We take clients there for lunch. Have our associate Holiday lunch there and many other reasons to numerous to name. For a chain restaurant it feels like a local hangout. From the servers and bartenders to the General Manager and other Managers you always get a welcome back. They know how to make it happen
They did a nice job. The evening went well
Had a fabulous time celebrating a lifelong friend. Was worried about the noise level but it was perfect. I had been in other times were it was a little loud but the music seemed to have been turned down and was at a perfect level where we could all easily communicate. Kudos to the staff they did a terrific job. The food was awesome
Two couples having dinner. Very enjoyable evening - great service - the Salmon was really good.
We celebrated two birthdays and had a great time!
We came for their new feature, BRUNCH...It was amazing! The food was fresh, hot, delicious and WOW, what a selection.. from pastries, muffins, croissants and Danish, to savory scrambled eggs/bacon/sausage (patties and links) and biscuits and gravy, to fresh fish dishes, beef tips with gravy and chicken, to vegetables, pasta dishes and fresh fruit...and let's not forget about the omelet and waffle stations...and the bottomless mimosa's (at an added charge)...The mini crème brulee cups were a wonderful finish to the meal (spoons on that table would have been helpful)! ALL delicious...The kitchen staff did a great job of keeping the serving dishes filled and fresh and they paid incredible attention to the esthetics of each table, making sure the displays were pleasing to the eye! The owner, manager and server were all so gracious and welcoming.
Great restaurant. Unrelated, can't seem to reach OpenTable to find out why I'm not getting reservation credit points applied.
Loved everything. The food was great and the service was attentive. I will definitely be back.
This is my favorite Marlow’s since they keep the music lower than the others, allowing for conversations among our table that can be heard. Our servers are always outstanding, and and on this visit, I’ll add very attentive. The food is always excellent and if by chance something isn’t right , it’s quickly taken care of.
We have found a new treasure. Excellent food and service.
The food is American with a chef that makes the presentation and taste something you desire to eat watching the food network channel. Everything that my 20 friends had was delicious
Good food, great service and we enjoyed the Winter Park location.
Simply THE BEST BURGER that I have ever had...ever. The combination of the quality of the beef, brioche bun (buttered & toasted), type of tomato & lettuce was outstanding. I would highly recommend Marlow’s Tavern - Winter Park for a great evening meal. Thank you.
We started with a drink order and they were well made. However, the drinks were only filled up a little north of half the glass, which was surprising given the specialty drinks are fairly pricey. What was odd was our neighboring table ordered drinks that were filled to the brim. Maybe the server makes them? As for the food, it was ok. The burger was meant to be medium rare, but was well done. The chicken stack wasn’t stacked. It was almost like the person cooked the chicken for the first time. It was way over cooked. The rest of the “stack” was good. We will probably give it another go because the atmosphere is nice and the menu is good.
I was very disappointed they were out of so many items for dinner as well as the dessert. The server recommended items then came back to tell us it was not available. It wasn't even that late, I will not be back at this location.
Continue to visit and revisit Marlow's Tavern in Winter Park. Super appreciative to their team for great food, stellar service, and a consistent dining out experience. Happy New Year ! ! !
Food and service are excellent! I had the shrimp and grits and by far the best in town!
Marlow’s was sending out emails for New Years Eve advertising their infamous Lobster & Shrimp Chowder and Prime Center Cut N.Y. Strip. There was one even sent out on DEC 31. I made reservations for me and a good friend. We have dined at Marlowes many times, and anyone that comes to visit me in Florida is taken there at least once for dinner or brunch.
Sadly we got a server that we had had once before probably three months prior, and she still is clueless as how to serve tables or speak to customers. When asked to order the prime center cut Strip steak we were informed that they had run out of them the day before. So asking to order the fillet’s, the manager came over and informed us that they were out of the fillets also. I have no idea why on New Year’s eve the advertise dish and a replacement would not be available.
So I ended up ordering the black and blue salad and asked for my steak to be cooked Pittsburgh rare and my companion ordered a burger. This steak came out refrigerator cold and barely gray. Our server, she attempted to explain to me how a steak is cooked and why it looks the way it does. It is obvious that she has no idea what a Pittsburgh style of cooking steak , I was not pleased with her being argumentative considering she has probably never cooked a steak in her life.
If we wanted a burger and a salad for New Year’s Eve, we should’ve driven another block to Steak ‘n’ Shake and eaten there. This was the poorest excuse for a restaurant for New Year’s Eve. I have been eating at Marlos since I moved to Florida and have noticed the service and the food quality have been slipping. But not having steaks for New Year’s Eve is inexcusable, especially since it was the advertised fare. I requested a manager to call me, but yet I have not heard from anyone from Marlow’s.
Please bring back the Marlow’s I loved.
We love Marlow’s. Our go to eatery when we want fresh local food
Great food! Perfect spot for Christmas Eve dinner!
Marlow’s tavern is a great place to eat. There menu has many options for various tastes.
Great service and fantastic food, as always. Menu variety is a plus.
Tony and his staff are superb! Everytime is welcoming and great food!
Wishes for a great time... everytime are experienced!
Great food - we've never had anything we didn't like. Attentive but not intrusive service with prompt delivery of food - appetizer came with enough time to enjoy it before the meal arrived. As the restaurant filled up, it was definitely not quiet - but we were still able to hold a conversation without shouting.
Love this place.
Food was creative and very yummy! The service was really outstanding! (We were so impressed that when we found out about their Sunday Brunch -- we made a reservation for this weekend!)
The shrimp and grits is to die for!
Food was wonderful. Our server, Casey, was very helpful and attentive.
We had a large group of out of town guests that got unexpectedly even larger after arrival. Marlow’s adapted beautifully & were able to accommodate us. And, though I’m sure it had to be frustrating for them, they did not show it! Very impressed. And the food was delicious, as always.
Great food, awesome happy hour, friendly & feels-like-home staff!
Waitress was great, salmon was fantastic... we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
We were in the back part of the restaurant, and it was empty, yet it took over 20 minutes to receive drinks from the bar, and the food took 35-40 minutes after ordering. I enjoy the ambience and food, but the service typically fails each time I’ve been there.
My husband and I are regulars at Marlow’s because we consistently and reliably receive excellent service and enjoy delicious, fresh meals. Marlow’s offers a superb outdoor seating area, happy hour worth checking out, and daily specials that are always worth trying. The service staff, management, and chefs all take great care to ensure that you enjoy every bit of your visit!
This was our second time eating at Marlow's. We enjoyed the drink and food, and the service was fine also, but it seemed just too dark in the dining area at 5:30 PM for 7:30 PM pre-theatre supper. Maybe we can find a brighter area next time. The shrimp and grits dish certainly is tasty, however, and shouldn't be missed.
It was "girls night out" and the specials were all amazing Theresa took care of us and was also amazing we split the shrimp and grits and royal with cheese they are to die for
Always consistently great food and service. One of our favorite go tos! Don’t skip the truffle fries.
