Marlowe is a market driven neighborhood bistro housed in a rustic-chic and inviting space. Bright and bold flavors from a three-star chef and a little family history create an exciting new restaurant concept nestled in San Francisco’s slick SoMa neighborhood. Marlowe was created by restaurateur Anna Weinberg along with a few partners and pals.

Offering a menu of classic bistro favorites with unique and flavorful twists, Marlowe Executive Chef Jennifer Puccio, who earned three stars from the San Francisco Chronicle for her cooking at Cortez, created a mix of snacks, appetizers, mains and sides made up of the kind of food she loves to eat when she’s not working.

What happened to the Marlowe Burger?? I came here several months ago and was blown away by the exceptionally indulgent and mouthwatering burger that this place is famous for, or was famous for. This second time, the burger paled in comparison. It even looked different -- smaller and less extravagant. Lame bun, sticky flat patty and no explosion of varied flavors I enjoyed in the past. I thought I was losing it but my hot dinner date echoed my woes. At least the atmosphere is nice. Nothing like snuggling up with your date in one of the corner booths <3

Marlowe is consistently amazing. Every dish — appetizers, mains and then the finishing desserts!!
Service is impeccable!! Run to Marlowe!!

Marlowe’s Is a gem. The menu is very interesting and varied. All 4 of us ordered different dishes, all were terrific. Service excellent. Our best recommendation!

Little gem salad was refreshing and beautifully plated with delicate ribbons of root vegetables. Ribeye was generous-sized, juicy and served with a delicious pan sauce. Enjoyed huge scoops of their vanilla and espresso ice cream for dessert.

Jam packed! The tables are too small and too packed together to comfortable seat parties of four or more. The noise level in a packed room is high, so it became even more difficult to hear guests at our table when music was being blast above. Very distracting.

The food and service, on the hand, were exceptional. The menu could use more than just two entrees. Otherwise, a weekday lunch offering looks more like brunch.

My first time there, and certainly not the last!

We had the steak tartare, chickory salad for apps (both delish), followed by a chicken sandwich, and their outstanding burger. I'll be back!!

We had the open faced Reuben and burger. The Baker was a nice cocktail. Food good but overall
Wont rush back. Service had a sense of entitlement- doing a favor to the customer. Place is a bit cramped too-

Good place to be if you wish to be with a young crowd. Food is quite good at a reasonable price. Service is a bit less attentive than I would have expected. Space is tight and tables are small.

The polenta was great! The ribeye not so much. Nice little restaurant.
