Opened in 2010 and relocated to its current location in 2014, Marlowe is a New American bistro located in San Francisco’s Soma neighborhood in the former COCO500 space.

Brought to you by Executive Chef Jennifer Puccio and award-winning San Francisco designer Ken Fulk, Marlowe focuses on classic comfort foods with flavorful twists, like Chef Puccio’s signature Marlowe Burger, seasonal poulet vert, brussels sprouts chips and quail egg topped steak tartare.

Taking inspiration from the butcher shops of the past, Marlowe is designed with a sleek but comfortable feel, featuring white subway tiles, white marble, deep blue banquettes, wood block tables and specials listed on rolls of butcher paper.

We celebrated our first date anniversary. We had our first date 3 years ago at Marlowe and we’ve been back so many times since then. We absolutely love Marlowe for their delicious burger and fries and their impeccable service! It is loud in the dining room so noise level is something to keep in mind. But everything else is superb! We love Marlowe!

Service was disappointing. Hostess was great and helped out a bit with our table. Our issues were primarily with a very awkwardly intrusive server. Items from some of our table's orders were missing and didn't arrive until guests had all but finished their meals. Overall, food was ok. I've had two enjoyable visits before this, so hoping this last visit was a fluke.

Food was great. I had the oysters, stuffed blossoms and the brick chicken all DELICIOUS. My friend had the scallops and the burger - also DELICIOUS! Service was horrible.

Restaurant was understaffed and service was awful. I tried to call our waiter over several times and was completely ignored. The crudo appetizer was inedible and my cocktail arrived after I finished my meal. The restaurant did not charge me for the appetizer or cocktail but the whole meal should have been comped.

Brussel chips were delicious and the burger was excellent…nice chargrilled flavor with good quality meat. The Bordeaux with the burger was delicious. Get a side of their homemade ranch sauce! Didn’t love the crudo. We had one wonderful waiter and one other random waiter who was extremely unhelpful and rude. Cute space!

Tuna crudo and hamburger were excellent. Staff were friendly, appropriately attentive. Reasonable prices. Difficult to hear with tables so close.

Fun place. We had a steak and a burger, both well-cooked and delicious. We also shared gougeres and a blood orange and beet salad, both of them delightful and delicate.
