RUN...don't walk to Marlou DTLA!!! The food, the drinks, the staff...everything was fantastic. We drove up from San Diego and arrived one hour before our reservation time and were able to be seated. Tried almost all the drinks on the menu - none of them disappointed. Bone Marrow app was to die for. Ribeye and Lamb Chops did not disappoint. Chef Marcos was so gracious and spent quality time with us even though it was a busy Saturday night. We can't wait to go back!

Ordered butter poached lobster as my brunch and unfortunately it was inedible (chewy and overcooked) They took the lobster off the bill $4. Shame as I was so looking forward to dining at this restaurant

The food was okay, nothing amazing. It took around 40 minutes to get the appetizers, and for the main entry 30 minutes. I saw the server only 2 times. I felt he forgot about us.

Incredible! The whole experience was a vibe. From the door to seating to drinks and food. 10 stars! We had the paella, arepitas and bollenese spaghetti! All incredible! Wish we had more room for more but portions were very shareable! Thank you again chef Marcos for always being top notch! Can’t wait to visit the Ktown Marlou!

I really enjoyed sampling the small plates most. My favorite dish was the Crispy Quinoa. I actually do not like quinoa, but I had a strong urge to try it, and it paid off. That dish was a combination of flavors and textures that created a multi sensory experience. I love tasting flavor combinations that I've never had before. We did have a little confusion with the order the dishes were served in, and the octopus was a bit well done, but it was still good. Overall, I had fun.

The food is polished! I love the ecelctic options for a hotel bar. It’s cozy in here! There’s is a fireplace that warms the whole place up! This is my second time and I still want to return to try EVERYTHING on the menu.

Very costly restaurant for the food items listed. They are also one of the restaurants that want you yo tip them on the California State taxes that are not part of what you ate. I have operated several hotels and tips are never charged on State Tac amount. Maybe California would ll wake up one day and decide to collect the tips restaurants have been collecting in their behalf. Not what I would call audit fun. The service was sketchy I had the Benedict for brunch which was $19 without any potato side. Ham was thin at bat. Sauce over lemonistic. Eggs were cooked properly. Restaurant is part of a hotel which was not made evident on the website.

We did a brunch for my best friends, 34th birthday and the food was really good. We indulged in the Chilaquiles, Tacos a La Borracha, and Borracha hash. We also had the Fade to Red drink some of us had it with whiskey and some with vodka since they serve it both ways. It was a quiet lovely place to do brunch. Food was delicious and I would definitely come back to try more items. Thank you for the amazing customer service. Staff really helped along the way since this was a surprise brunch for my best friend.

After having experienced Chef Marcos’ culinary talents a couple of times last year when we were in Los Angeles, we invited our son and his partner to have dinner with us. Our food was delicious in every way and all four of us had clean plates at the end of the meal. Marlou is a dining MUST-DO if you are ever in LA. The food and service is outstanding!

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. We ordered beef carpaccio, crispy quinoa, bone marrow gnocchi, seafood paella, and the rib eye. Unique dishes and our waitress was wonderful making sure we didn’t order too much (or too little) food. Cocktails were delicious and the wine list was small but had some great selections.

Good food, but service was lacking. Everyone was nice but I think they were understaffed for how many patrons there were. We waited nearly 40 minutes to be seated when we had an 8 pm reservation. And they would bring food out without the proper utensils and dishware. I think they have some kinks to work out...

What a great evening out.Drove up from San Diego, spent the night in the O Hotel, which was quaint.Our waitress was Sasha. She was very attentive and gave us some space to enjoy the meal. The menu is divided into three shareable sizes and are generous! Go hungry or be prepared to take home delicious leftovers.The fusion of 2 cultures with a twist of DTLA is a perfect recipe for an amazing experience. Hard to pin down a favorite dish. At the end of the evening our outstanding waitress enticed us back as Marlou serves an excellent brunch at 10am. So for the weekend no need to leave the premises. You arrive, valet, rest, eat, sleep, eat again and then check out, perfect weekend to experience the menu and great people at Marlou. Next stop will be the new Koreatown restaurant.

Marlou was a great experience. We sat in the front by the fire and it was so cozy. Everything from the drinks to our small shared plates to our amazing entree were amazing. We had the seafood Paella and it was incredible. The combo of the seafood, rice & kimchi was to die for. The staff was friendly and on point. Such a pleasure. So many things I’d like to go back and try. This Spanish-Asian Fusion is definitely something to check out. Will definitely be back!!!

The three course Thanksgiving dinner was not only excellent, the portions were generous. The chef’s butternut squash soup was the best I’ve ever encountered. I do wish the soup had been paired with some crusty bread or a baguette. The traditional turkey dinner was flavorful and tasted wonderful. The included dessert was impressive in both flavor and size. Craft cocktails were inventive and tasty. Finally, the staff was attentive and very friendly. What a great experience for those of us who weren’t celebrating the day in a traditional manner.
