Marlings Bar and Grill is located at Woodland Holiday Park in Trimingham and open to everyone. Located within 80 acres of beautiful woodland Marlings offers a beautiful setting for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The team at Marlings look forward to welcoming you.

A great pit stop for those walking the north Norfolk coastal path Marlings is just 500 metres from the route plus we have a beautiful nature trail to enjoy before or after your meal with us.

Please note if you book at 6pm on Mon-Weds, we close at 7pm.

Sunday Carvery is served 12-4pm every Sunday. Please do book in advance as this is a popular day.

Free Wi-Fi is available so please do make yourself comfortable to work or meet colleagues.

Sunday lunch was nice plenty of veg and mostly hot. Brockley was not very warm. Plates could have done with being warmer. Overall a nice meal. Like every were now prices or on the increase.

All the staff were great and the garden room was lovely. Unfortunately the carvery was not great. The meat and pigs in blankets were good as were the desserts. The veg, however were terrible. Hard peas, soggy overcooked cauliflower cheese and broccoli. The carrots and parsnips had a very weird taste as did the red cabbage. Obviously the chef does not taste his cooking. This is the second time we’ve been disappointed so will not be returning for their carvery. We’ve eaten off their usual menu and the food has always been good.

Went for Carvery Sunday lunch after hearing good reviews. We had beef and turkey which were good and plentiful. The vegetables and accompaniments let the meal down. The vegetables were only just warm and some lacked flavour eg cauliflower cheese. The stuffing balls and yorkshire puddings were on the hard side like they had been out a while. The restaurant wasn't very busy so presumably that had an impact on how long food was left around. I had rhubarb and apple crumble for dessert with custard which was piping hot and very nice but lacked rhubarb. Service was good and waitress very friendly.

I have passed along your comments to our head chef and we are currently looking at ways that we can improve the quality of our carvery. We do apologise if you were not informed about our crumble being changed to apple and cinnamon. We're looking to change our menu very soon to reflect this change. We cannot fault the food or service however was very disappointed they had cleaned the coffee machine before asking us if we would like some and so refusing us coffee when we ordered our desserts.

A discussion has been had with our team to ensure that this does not happen again. 3 of us ordered medium steaks, the most expensive items on the menu. The steaks were undercooked to the point of being raw in the middle. Service felt like the staff couldn't wait to go home.
