Marlin
A great meal in bar lounge staff so helfull im not normally a hotel bar person but i l l cone back here had the burger n they helped with kids portions etc nice place nice people
Our first visit. Chose Marlin for child friendly and that was perfect. Service people a bit confused but very friendly and welcoming. My fish chowder was delicious. Friend’s salad described as tasteless. Decor not as good as expected. Plenty of space, not cramped and we stayed 3 hours without being rushed out. Price ok.
After checking in we sat there for some time without menus or being asked for a drink order. They were kind and apologetic however we were done. We did not try the food hence the 3 as it's a middle score. One thing to note, it's a restaurant in a hotel. Very hotel guest like, not restaurant like.
If you are looking to have dinner/ drinks at a calm place with a good design, Marlin is a very good spot for that.
However, the staff seemed very uncoordinated and unstructured, which resulted in a very long wait. We went in for a quick dinner, but it took us almost 1 hour and 45 mins to actually get the food. We had in total 5 waiters who came to our table, and apparently they all expected the others to do their tasks or something... and when we finally got the food, no one checked our table for drinks, how the food was etc.
This might be a result of it being a new restaurant, but they definitely need to work on their coordination.
We stay here also for the Marathon - highly recommend this hotel for both stay and food - throughly enjoyed ourselves :)
