Marleys Island Grille Ratings and Reviews
Delicious as usual. The house salad is the best salad on the island. I love their chicken skewers. I thought the pork pieces in my rice and beans were a little chewy, but the rice itself had a really good texture and flavor - almost like a risotto.
The menu has been simplified, which makes it much easier on both the customer and the server.
It’s still my favorite happy hour on the island! And I’m not kidding, the house salad is AMAZING.
It was just OK. I knew we were in trouble when our pre-dinner cocktails arrived and they were both in footed iced tea glasses. A decent bar should know which glasses an old fashioned and a gin & tonic are served in.
My dinner companion and I both ordered the crab cakes which were billed as lump crab. What I got was something more like a crab biscuit. I couldn't find much lump crab in there. The food wasn't bad, but it was the quality you'd expect at an average seafood restaurant in Des Moines, not Hilton Head. I don't think I need to give it another try.
Food was much better that expected . I am a local so usually avoid the tourist traps but was pleasantly surprised. Wine list was disappointing as well as the beer list. Cocktail list full of sweet fruity drinks so as result ordered no alcohol. Craft beer and cocktails would be a very nice addition as well as a few more non-domestic wines.
First time at Marley's. Went on a Monday night at 7pm. Ordered the Tuna Tartar (double) for appetizer. My husband and I decided that the single would have been enough for app. It was good albeit a little salty. I had the tuna tacos for dinner and my husband had the shrimp and grits special. My tacos were good. Vegetables were fresh. My husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits. We'll be back to try something else from their extensive menu.
Marley's is a favorite dining spot for us on HHI. PerfectGreat food, Great Drinks, great and friendly service in a fun atmosphere.
The standard entrees and specials have never disappointed and we especially appreciate how consistently well prepared the vegetables are that are served with the entree. Just perfect!
Thought could be fun and delicious. It was a chain vibe restaurant. Not our type place.
We were seated immediately n server was very nice and engaging
Food was fast food apps, mostly fried n heavy.
SPICY is understatement describing our tuna taco. It really was way to spicy for us. I admit we don't eat spicy but can get through meal if some spice. Over done or there should be level of spice rating.
Overall not going back
Stumbled onto this place while trying to find a Resturant we had been to a couple of years ago and couldn't remember the name . This wasn't the one, but we were by no means disappointed. Food was awesome. I had the seafood casserole and my husband had the salmon. Both dishes excellent. A little pricey for everyday dining, but for a vacation treat was what we expected.
Fun place to go. Crab/artichoke dip delish. Friend had the lobster tacos and enjoyed -- I had Salmon cobb and way too much food. Would be nice if lower price and less food, but very good! Would definitely go back.
If you make a reservation during the Happy Hour time ask for seating that is happy hour/regular menu (which is limited) rather than having to sit at the bar to get the happy hour pricing.
