Food was a big disappointment. We were a party of 5 for a girls weekend. Pork was undercooked on one entree. Flank steak was very tough on another entree and not cooked to order. On the third of 5 entrees, the seafood trio, the breading was too heavy, with the flounder and shrimp not being fresh and definitely over cooked. I am a foodie, and I should have trusted my gut feel and left after entering the restaurant because of the strong fish odor. Even my 19 year old granddaughter said "Grandna, this is not going to be good."
Jeff our waiter was very attentive! Food was very good. Not crowded at all. I would come back again.
Very family friendly. Great service. Enjoyed our dinner!
Delicious sangria, but bland and uninspiring food
Quality service. Had the seafood trio. The breading - especially on the flounder could be thinner
Will definitely return. Lots of other great things on menu. Will try something else.
Wife had the broiled seafood trio. It was excellent
My meal was very good( seared tuna, very tender & flavorful); my wife's meal( salmon) was not so good( not thoroughly cooked) and was not finished by her; my wife's margarita was not very good( either the first or the 2nd time ). Both times they were too overwhelming citric and the grenadier could not be tasted at all. I would recommend this restaurant, but my spouse would not. The waiter did an outstanding job----very attentive and responsive!
Marley’s never disappoints. Their plates are nothing short of a masterpiece and their unique entrees are always made perfectly to boot!
We try to come here when we visit HHI. Restaurant was not busy the night we went. Very pleasant-waitress was good. Enjoyed the mesquite grilled lobster tail and grilled swordfish.
Lively, casual spot for a friends get together. Happy Hour and early dinner deals are worth a visit to this restaurant. Great seafood selections with a Caribbean flair. Excellent service and a fun atmosphere. We'll be back!
Emily was a terrific waitress and made excellent recommendations and was available without being pushy. Fun dinner, would definitely go back again.
Little too heavy on seasonings. Portions are generous.
Pleasantly surprised by the tropical feel. Lovely and well-trained waitress. Seated at time
of reservation. Food was delicious!
Marleys is by far our most favourite restaurant in the Hilton Head area. The food is always great, with an enjoyable atmosphere. My wife very much enjoy all of our visits, the staff is outstanding, friendly and very knowledgeable about the food.
We have eaten at Marley's quite a few times and enjoy taking company there. We think the margaritas there are very good and always have one when we go. Then, we all ordered mesquite grilled fish - all fresh and cooked to our specifications. Excellent, as were the vegetables that came with the dishes. We did not order dessert, thinking we'd get ice cream. The ice cream place is no longer there, replaced with a Marley's Take Out shop. That's OK as we just walked a short way to the frozen yogurt place. Prices at Marley's were comparable to other restaurants in the area - not cheap but also not exorbitant.
One person in our dining group found their food too cool. The manager responded by comping the meal.....which was so nice and good policy! Everyone else was very complimentary! The portions are large....so come with appetite!
First time at this location and we will be back. Food and drinks were well prepared and service was top notch. We had a reservation for Saturday night in February but could have been seated without one. This might be different as the season picks up.
We visited this restaurant in Sept 2016 and made a point to go again when we returned to the area Feb 2018
Our Server Lucy was awesome!!
Island theme and menu - was a pleasant surprise. Will go again.
Recognized and complementary champagne
Good and service by Wayne was the best
Great restaurant. Four of us went to the bar for happy hour where we met new friends. Then we walked around to be seated for dinner. The service and food both were very good. We will defiantly be back.
Marley’s was fine but not outstanding. Our server was pleasant but we had to ask for water (never got straws), and noticed that every table but ours was served a basket of warm bread.
My wife and I ordered from the early bird menu. My salad was average at best, my wife’s she crab soup also average. Fried seafood sampler was my dinner, again fine but nothing to rave about. Did not like the vinegar-based Cole slaw but that is just a personal preference. My wife ordered stuffed flounder, she said it was good.
Of all the SERG restaurants we have eaten at, this was our least favorite only because it was average and we find several of the others to be better.
Veggies were not hot crab cakes were nothing but filling hardly any crab meat
Nice atmosphere. Food good. Service very good. Parking okay. Have to go outside across landing to the restrooms which is interesting.
Waiter was outstanding and food excellent! Used Early Dining menu. Large portions. Happy Hour to 7pm
Delicious as usual. The house salad is the best salad on the island. I love their chicken skewers. I thought the pork pieces in my rice and beans were a little chewy, but the rice itself had a really good texture and flavor - almost like a risotto.
The menu has been simplified, which makes it much easier on both the customer and the server.
It’s still my favorite happy hour on the island! And I’m not kidding, the house salad is AMAZING.
Supa-dupa-groupa was very good but there was not a great choice of draft beers-nothing dark except a Guinness. Crab claws as extra were bland and not worth the cost. We had great service from Chris and a good view of the football game
It was just OK. I knew we were in trouble when our pre-dinner cocktails arrived and they were both in footed iced tea glasses. A decent bar should know which glasses an old fashioned and a gin & tonic are served in.
My dinner companion and I both ordered the crab cakes which were billed as lump crab. What I got was something more like a crab biscuit. I couldn't find much lump crab in there. The food wasn't bad, but it was the quality you'd expect at an average seafood restaurant in Des Moines, not Hilton Head. I don't think I need to give it another try.
The food was excellent as well as the service from the hostesses and server.
Food was much better that expected . I am a local so usually avoid the tourist traps but was pleasantly surprised. Wine list was disappointing as well as the beer list. Cocktail list full of sweet fruity drinks so as result ordered no alcohol. Craft beer and cocktails would be a very nice addition as well as a few more non-domestic wines.
Great service and food was good, just at bit pricey for what you get
The entrees and soup were excellent. This is a great place for casual dining. Definitly a dressed down atmosphere. The tables are a little crowded together. It is very reminiscent of the beach scene type atmosphere. We recommend for casual dining only.
We got there for happy hour and ordered everything off of that menu. Loved the shrimp tacos. Tuna tartar was very good. Jerk chicken taco was excellent but one was enough. Crab dip was wonderful. We will definitely be back soon.
Great food, great service. Loved the rice and beans!
First time at Marley's. Went on a Monday night at 7pm. Ordered the Tuna Tartar (double) for appetizer. My husband and I decided that the single would have been enough for app. It was good albeit a little salty. I had the tuna tacos for dinner and my husband had the shrimp and grits special. My tacos were good. Vegetables were fresh. My husband enjoyed the shrimp and grits. We'll be back to try something else from their extensive menu.
Fine selections in a nice atmosphere. Some a little pricey, but still worth it. Had nice piece of salmon, good steak, good chicken.
Nice restaurant. Would recommend it to families. That’s in the area. Would recommend the seafood.
Marley’s is a “go to” restaurant for us. We are always very pleased with the menu, their meals are well prepared and presented. The service is always friendly and attentive and the ambiance is comfortable, fun and cheerful.
