Marleys Island Grille - Hilton Head
Friendly staff, good food
The only good things were our great server and cocktails. The food was flavorless and cold.
The food was good, but a little pricey. When the plate was first brought to the table, it looked sparse, But the portion was plenty. It's just that they are large plates. We had a server who was probably one of the best and friendliest server I've ever had. cudos to her !
Great food and excellent service!!
Good range of choices for food - the flounder was excellent! Loved the sides (rice & black beans, green beans). Our server was personable, prompt, but not smothering.
Booked a table for a large family group (7 adults, 3 kids) - staff were accommodating and very patient (even with my perpetually grumpy sister in law), the food was fresh and tasty. Good value, too, compared to some of the other places we ate. Would definitely eat there again, and would definitely recommend to friends.
Marleys is a family favorite. Everyone kind find something tasty on the menu. In the summer, the outdoor entertainment is a positive distraction if you are waiting for seating or dining on the patio. In the off season, the environment is pleasant and the servers are extra attentive!
FOUR OF US ORDERED THE CRAB STUFFED FLOUNDER...LOOKED GREAT BUT, WHEN WE TASTED THE CRAB FILLING IT WAS COLD! NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
Had been at Marleys a few times before, bottom line it’s a hit or miss and not very consistent when it comes to food, service is good. Both of us had the pre fix dinners. The salad and soup was pretty good, the entrees shrimp and steak was good, but the ribeye chichmangga was poor, very little steak and a lot of rice, big mistake ordering that. The meal came with dessert key lime pie, so we ordered it to go and when we got home and opened the containers we could not believe our eyes, both pie slices were literally one inch slices, it actually tasted good but come on - wow. Probably will skip Marley’s for a while.
Server was very good, attentive.
Food was good, salmon portion was somewhat on the small side, yet tasty.
Great experience overall!!
Marley's is one of our favorites, it's a great place to bring people from out of town with the colorful decor and great menu. It's also a nice place for locals to hang out. The menu always has specials and the food does not disappoint.
Delicious. If you are ordering seafood, add the special topping to your order.
My only complaint is that the food came out very quickly, and even though we weren't rushed, and even though the restaurant was not crowded, we felt rushed. That said, we love Marleys. We go back each year when we visit Hilton Head. The food is consistently great. Next year I mat order the rib entre'. It looked pretty awesome.
We had 3 fabulous Early Bird meals. My favorite, flank steak dinner. The men loved crab cake meal & stuffed flounder,, Service always extra special..Love the island feel..
We had the early bird menu...selection was varied and the choices we made were excellent...the She Crab soup is very good, the broiled fish dinner was substantial and tasty. The fried fish dinner was also very good. We were going to a show and the staff was very efficient in providing timely service. The only negative was we needed to change tables because the air conditioning was blowing right on us and it was very cold. Our server was most love,y and accommodating!
It was not as good as we remember from five years ago.
Very good meal...grilled grouper. Only thing missing from the menu was hush puppies but that’s being nitpicky.
We vacation here once a year, and enjoy coming to Marley's. Food is consistently good and our service was excellent
The She Crab Chowder was really good. We loved our waiter Rick.
The food was fantastic! Everyone at our table of 8 enjoyed their meal; this includes my mom who doesn't like seafood, my sister who doesn't eat meat and my niece who is extremely picky. We make time to come here every time we visit HHI.
Good food choices well prepared great service. What more can you ask for!
Excellent food selection and varied beyond typical flavors. My vegan friend loves the veggies and rice served in a pineapple. I enjoyed the gluten free roll and butter as well as the flourless chocolate cake! The non- issue diners loved their meal as well. They had the lobster roll (served hot with butter) and the goat cheese appetizer which was huge!
Very good meal, really like the crab soup and choice pick 2 of Shrimp and oysters. Service was excellent.
Great place. Scallops are fantastic!
We just discovered this place last year and are so sorry it took us so long to visit. Very good selection, and everything we have had there has been very good. This is one of the SERG restaurants, and we have liked every one of them we have visited. We now make Marleys Island Grille a part of every visit to the island.
Was fine nothing special. Server was efficient but not friendly
Food was great and service was really quick. Would definitely come back here next time we are in Hilton Head!
Food and service were fantastic.
Marley's remains a family favorite of ours. Fun for a date night or bring out of town guests. Service is always great and so is the food.
Marleys was great, we were there for a rehearsal dinner and the food and service was exceptional. Thank you for a great night
Seated right away and service very attentive as always. Love this restaurant.
We had a great casual dinner. Blackened mahi sandwich was great and the she crab soup was some of the best I have ever had and as a native South Carolinian I have had many references points!!! The best part was our server Rick. He was the best. Everything you would expect in outstanding service and then some. It is phenomenal to receive Michelin standard service from Rick in a casual island grill!!!
We had a great time at Marley’s meeting with friends that we haven’t seen in years. The Atmosphere was perfect for the reunion, we could hear each other talk, the waiter was very attentive, and the food was delicious. We would definitely eat here again!!
We had reservations and were seated right away. Our waitress, Natalie, was excellent. We were not rushed, even though it was busy. I had the Mahi-mahi tacos served with fresh vegetables rice and beans. Everything was delicious. My husband had the Seafood casserole, said it was delicious also. We will definitely be back!
The food and service was excellent
We dined on a Friday night, October 4, 2019. Our server was very good and the food (with the exception of the first batch of rolls which were virtually inedible because they had been over baked) was very tasty. The restaurant is noisy, so not a good place for people like us with hearing aids!
Our entrees were surprisingly gourmet for a family oriented/large group oriented restaurant. Service was very attentive even for a Friday evening. I had the mesquite grilled monk fish on a ginger/carrot purée with roasted red potatoes topped with green pea shoots. It was delicious! My husband had the glazed salmon with the mango chutney, jasmine rice and green beans, which he enjoyed very much also. There were simpler choices which would account for the restaurants popularity with families with children. There were some good wine choices even though the specialty cocktails were more highlighted.
Service and atmosphere are nice, but the quality of the food was below average and the prices are above average. There are better options for a quality meal.
Our server, Chris was outstanding! He was gregarious and his knowledge of the menu was very very good. He was pleasant and courteous at all times. The food was terrific. The She Crab soup is the best I’ve had on the island. 3 of us had the price fix menu which was a real value. We may go back again!
The food was really good - especially for the price! Service was excellent, Constance was a gem. Great for families, vacation dinner - very casual and comfortable.
