Marleys Island Grille - Hilton Head
Great as usual!!!
Great seafood served in pineapple! Loved it!
Excellent food and service.
Our new favorite place to eat when we come to Hilton Head!
Such a great place. The crab cakes were beyond excellent as was the crab-stuffed flounder. The service was impeccable. We will definitely return.
Awesome waiter, great food!
I had read good reviews. Perhaps they aren’t as careful for early bird meals. The she crab soup was warm not hot. I thought it might be the way it was served so I did not say anything and ate it. It’s good but different from the traditional Charleston soup. The popcorn shrimp basket was quite a large helping and the were small regular shrimp versus popcorn size which was wonderful. The slaw was good and looked hand shaved. The fries were cold. They did bring me fresh fries. But two items in my meal were not hot as they would be at other restaurants. The server was very helpful. But I will not return nor recommend. There are too many other HH restaurants that value the customer experience
With our five kids (ages 13-21) on Christmas Eve we chose to dine at Marley’s based on the reviews we read. The place exceeded our expectations! Every one of us enjoyed the meals. The prices were very reasonable for a family of our size. The service was fantastic!
I had salmon; my husband had super duper grouper; my 2 oldest sons enjoyed their adventure of sharing mixed grill & captain’s trio. The three boys shared the mad-crafted coconut during and look forward to taking that home with them. My daughter & I especially enjoyed our after dinner martini drink with Bailey’s, Vodka & espresso! Our waiter, Robby, was amazing with his great attitude, quick service, very personable & added to the great evening for our family!
Marleys has good food. However, service was extremely slow. Not sure I would go back there
We were very disappointed in the food on the prix fixe menu - my filet medallion plate didn’t even compare to the one on the early dining. The meat was tough and the shrimp had shells that I didn’t expect. We have dined at Marley’s for years on the early dining and expected that you would still offer the buy one get 50% off this winter. This is an unfortunate change and judging by how empty the restaurant was other people must feel the same way!
Marleys is a real treasure on the island. Wonderful food and atmosphere is fun and comfortable.
The service was great and food terrific. Our friends all commented that they would be back
My husband and I both chose the prefix three course dinner for $23. This was the first time we ordered this special. We both had the ribeye chimichanga which was very tasty. Just the right size. My salad was pretty good but his she-crab soup was way too thick. We both had Keylime pie for dessert. Not the usual giant slice but just enough to finish off the meal. The quality of the food was slightly better than we remembered it from our last visit. It was a good value and just right for our dinner before we went to a show. We’d do that again.
Friendly staff, good food
The only good things were our great server and cocktails. The food was flavorless and cold.
The food was good, but a little pricey. When the plate was first brought to the table, it looked sparse, But the portion was plenty. It's just that they are large plates. We had a server who was probably one of the best and friendliest server I've ever had. cudos to her !
Great food and excellent service!!
Good range of choices for food - the flounder was excellent! Loved the sides (rice & black beans, green beans). Our server was personable, prompt, but not smothering.
Booked a table for a large family group (7 adults, 3 kids) - staff were accommodating and very patient (even with my perpetually grumpy sister in law), the food was fresh and tasty. Good value, too, compared to some of the other places we ate. Would definitely eat there again, and would definitely recommend to friends.
Marleys is a family favorite. Everyone kind find something tasty on the menu. In the summer, the outdoor entertainment is a positive distraction if you are waiting for seating or dining on the patio. In the off season, the environment is pleasant and the servers are extra attentive!
FOUR OF US ORDERED THE CRAB STUFFED FLOUNDER...LOOKED GREAT BUT, WHEN WE TASTED THE CRAB FILLING IT WAS COLD! NOT A GREAT EXPERIENCE.
Had been at Marleys a few times before, bottom line it’s a hit or miss and not very consistent when it comes to food, service is good. Both of us had the pre fix dinners. The salad and soup was pretty good, the entrees shrimp and steak was good, but the ribeye chichmangga was poor, very little steak and a lot of rice, big mistake ordering that. The meal came with dessert key lime pie, so we ordered it to go and when we got home and opened the containers we could not believe our eyes, both pie slices were literally one inch slices, it actually tasted good but come on - wow. Probably will skip Marley’s for a while.
Server was very good, attentive.
Food was good, salmon portion was somewhat on the small side, yet tasty.
Great experience overall!!
Marley's is one of our favorites, it's a great place to bring people from out of town with the colorful decor and great menu. It's also a nice place for locals to hang out. The menu always has specials and the food does not disappoint.
Delicious. If you are ordering seafood, add the special topping to your order.
My only complaint is that the food came out very quickly, and even though we weren't rushed, and even though the restaurant was not crowded, we felt rushed. That said, we love Marleys. We go back each year when we visit Hilton Head. The food is consistently great. Next year I mat order the rib entre'. It looked pretty awesome.
We had 3 fabulous Early Bird meals. My favorite, flank steak dinner. The men loved crab cake meal & stuffed flounder,, Service always extra special..Love the island feel..
We had the early bird menu...selection was varied and the choices we made were excellent...the She Crab soup is very good, the broiled fish dinner was substantial and tasty. The fried fish dinner was also very good. We were going to a show and the staff was very efficient in providing timely service. The only negative was we needed to change tables because the air conditioning was blowing right on us and it was very cold. Our server was most love,y and accommodating!
It was not as good as we remember from five years ago.
Very good meal...grilled grouper. Only thing missing from the menu was hush puppies but that’s being nitpicky.
We vacation here once a year, and enjoy coming to Marley's. Food is consistently good and our service was excellent
The She Crab Chowder was really good. We loved our waiter Rick.
The food was fantastic! Everyone at our table of 8 enjoyed their meal; this includes my mom who doesn't like seafood, my sister who doesn't eat meat and my niece who is extremely picky. We make time to come here every time we visit HHI.
Good food choices well prepared great service. What more can you ask for!
Excellent food selection and varied beyond typical flavors. My vegan friend loves the veggies and rice served in a pineapple. I enjoyed the gluten free roll and butter as well as the flourless chocolate cake! The non- issue diners loved their meal as well. They had the lobster roll (served hot with butter) and the goat cheese appetizer which was huge!
Very good meal, really like the crab soup and choice pick 2 of Shrimp and oysters. Service was excellent.
Great place. Scallops are fantastic!
We just discovered this place last year and are so sorry it took us so long to visit. Very good selection, and everything we have had there has been very good. This is one of the SERG restaurants, and we have liked every one of them we have visited. We now make Marleys Island Grille a part of every visit to the island.
Was fine nothing special. Server was efficient but not friendly
