Absolutely outstanding! Went with a friend who is also a foodie and we were both impressed. The chef has a beautiful gift. This is a MUST GO gem of a restaurant.

Great dining experience. Excellent service. Very good cocktails, orange slice refreshing. Complimentary appetizer of frozen white chocolate ball filled with carrot juice with sea salt was a very good combo of flavors. Creative Chef with infusion of different flavors, spices. Recommend risotto for appetizer! Gotta try it! We had the pork and scallops, both delicious. 3 nice size scallops with infusion of sauces and flavors were excellent. Pork was fork cuttable tender with creative yummy flavors, portion not real big. The building could use better ventilation. Would recommend and return for more creativity.

First course was very good. The main course scallops were very good as was the lobster and beef, but the lobster and beef portion were too small, more like an appetizer or first course.

Met friends for dinner at Marlene's based on a recommendation of friend. We were not disappointed! It was a wonderful evening and the meal was outstanding! While a limited menu, everyone enjoyed their selection and the food was fantastic. The risotto carbonara was perfectly cooked, creamy, and enough for two. ever. The beef short rib was amazing, as was the pan roasted salmon - and the brussel sprouts were so good my husband would not share! We brought our own wine and also had a bottle off the menu. The owner was there and met us as we concluded our meal. Our server was wonderful and gave us time all evening to talk and order when we were ready. This is a hidden gem - just blocks from the East Village and Market District off of MLK on SE 6th. Run, don't walk, to Marlene's!
