20oz. U.S.D.A. Frenched bone-in Prime cut for the ultimate steak experience.
Great food and great service!!
Petit filet mignon was tougher than the regular filet mignon and that is strange because it’s “filet mignon”. It also taste like the filet was seared in bacon dripping
The calamari was way over cooked. Very crispy but flavor and dipping sauce was good.
The Cesar salad was good. Server forgot our salad until I reminded him. Otherwise it was a good meal
Server was excellent and very attentive. Food was excellent. Steaks were cooked perfectly and as requested.
Marks is as good as steakhouse as you will find in any major city! Excellent food, excellent service.
Birthday service and food and waiter was amazing
Highly recommend. The food and service were both great.
Lovely dining experience. Special birthday celebration. Great menu selections. Would have loved to eat my serving of sour dough bread. Can’t.
Celiac 😟. Spouse said it was excellent. Good time. Great meal.
An excellent dining experience!
Great as always. Jessica took excellent care of us. Our go to for all special occasions
I’ve been dining at Mark’s since it started on Lake Santa Fe. For the first time, the food was an issue. The filet that I’ve extolled as ‘The Best in Town’ was not very flavorful and was a bit rubbery. The mashed potatoes were ‘ok’, and did not like the sourdough bread. The mushrooms, Big Blue, and cocktails were on par. Outside of the food situation, the rest was good. We talked on the way home that we’ll be going elsewhere next time for fine dining. Also, we’ve really missed the valet service, but realize it’s out of the restaurant’s control. Thank you.
The fish and steak were delicious! Our side dishes were fantastic. Our waiter was perfect. Only complaint is we both had a grilled lobster tail. Neither of us finished it, was over cooked and maybe over seasoned? Everything else was superb!
Great quick service. Steak was absolutely delicious.
Amazing experience. Service was wonderful. Food was tasty.
Petite Filet Mignon orders were cooked to perfection and sides were very good as well. Crab cake appetizer was fresh and very tasty. Our waiter was extremely attentive to our party of six and my wife received a complimentary chocolate cake for her birthday. Overall, a wonderful dining experience as usual. Would highly recommend for a special occasion dinner.
Our family of three had a beautiful Christmas Eve dinner there.
We will be back!
It was an excellent meal. We will be back the next time we have a special occasion.
The attention is excellent and the food is delicious. Thank you. 🎄
We usually have an exceptional experience but tonight was kinda average. Staff was friendly but not the usual bubbly energetic I am use to getting when I go there.Food was good but not as spectacular as it usually is. Maybe it was just an off night.I will return though just one ok night doesn't keep me from there.
Service was impeccable, and meal was first class! Our server, Michael, was an absolute joy.
Dinner prior to the Hippodrome. Very nice meal (from the crab bisque to the petite filet, through dessert) with the usual high quality food and service we’ve found to be consistent at Mark’s Prime.
Always exceptional service with great food and ambiance. We always looks forward to eating at Mark's when un Gainesville
Overall a grand experience celebrating our daughter’s graduation. Food was absolutely amazing. Beef Tips an unsung standout.
Excellent as always. Mark’s never disappoints. Our go to place.
We came to dinner for my husbands Birthday. Mark’s is a wonderful go-to for special occasions (really any occasion…lol).
The food is always spectacular and the Chef’s seasonal specials don’t disappoint. The sleeper side for us was the pumpkin risotto, totally delicious and a wonderful surprise for our tastebuds! We’ll continue to make Mark’s our place for a wonderful dining experience.
Husband and I don’t get out very often anymore, so when we do, we want it to be really wonderful. This was. Everything from the ambience to the service, to the cocktails, to the food was just top-notch. Bone in ribeye steak was the best we’ve had for a very very very long time. Perhaps I should give it five stars for value, but it was a pricey dinner, more than we normally expect to pay. But even knowing that, we will definitely be back and you should, too. Previous reviews indicated over cooked steaks. I can tell you, both of our steaks were cooked to perfection.
It was my first time at Mark's and to be honest I was a little disappointed. The service was great but the food was just OK and for the price, I expected more.
We have been to Mark's many times. One goes for the quality of the food and for the attentive service. As usual the food quality was excellent. The 3 of us that had steaks all were very happy and the one that had the stuffed grouper was as well. The crab bisque was outstanding and the lobster escargot as well. Pumpkin cheesecake in my opinion was nothing to brag about though. The only disappointment was really the waiter, Blake. He was just not on top of his game as we had to ask him multiple times for things. My wife is severely allergic to eggs and had a question and when he returned to the table he said he had forgotten to ask. We had to ask for water refills several times. This may not all be on Blake as there is supposed to be another server that keeps water filled. But when we asked him he should have responded and we should not have had to ask twice. Two guests ordered coffee when we ordered the dessert to share and we had to flag down the manager to find out what the hold up was. When Blake did bring the coffee he said he had to brew a fresh pot. He should have said that when the dessert was dropped off. And both the regular coffee and decaf coffee were cold. Blake was around a lot and kept both bottles of wine poured, but the service just wasn't as top notch as usual. I did not ask how long he had worked there and perhaps he was still learning the ropes. Or perhaps another server had called out sick and he had to handle more tables than usual. Next reservation I will see if I can request Jessica as we have never been disappointed with her and she came by multiple times to say "Hi." Thank you.
Steak was well, well, well done. Otherwise I absolutely loved the service and atmosphere. I ordered the Ribeye and always get it medium, some pink. Was totally well done inside to the point it was basically leather.
People were in jeans/hoodies. Not the place In my opinion. Food was pretty salty. Our waiter was very good. He made suggestions, helped pick out wine. Overall a very nice evening.
Dined here last night for my partner's birthday; it was the first time there for both of us. The service was professional all around; our server was friendly and very attentive. All of the food was prepared exactly as we wanted it, and the cocktails were flavorful and well-balanced. Very nice atmosphere; low lighting and good music. It's much nicer on the inside than its outside appearance might suggest (this could be why some diners showed up in quite casual dress). Yes, it's pricy, but well worth it for a special occasion.
Have not dined at Marks since Covid. First thing missing was valet parking. Service was exceptional, however food was mediocre. Steaks for the most part were cooked to proper temperature, but missing that 5star aged beef flavor. Sides were poor with potato side cheesy and greasy. Our waiter was exceptional making overall experience good.
We spent over 500 here. Waiter was great! super good guy. Food was just very very average. Not nearly as good as it should be for an upscale price.
We had asked to sit outside but it was too windy. They moved us inside without any hesitation. The staff was great and so was the service. The food is always outstanding.
We have been several times, but last night’s dinner and experience was the best yet. Would HIGHLY recommend to anyone. We will be back.
We had a drink at the bar before the dinner. The cocktails were excellent. At dinner I had the filet mignon which was excellent but my husband had the lamb chops which were spectacular. We both enjoyed our wines at dinner and the crème Brûlée was the best we’ve ever had. Kaylee our server couldn’t have been more attentive. It was our 45th anniversary and we had an excellent experience.
Great place to celebrate a special event. Food is always excellent and service is spectacular. They are also able to handle large groups. Already looking forward to our next visit!
Great traditional steak house.
Service & ambiance is terrific.
Entree sizes are very small for the money , side dishes & apps are great sizes .
Great as always. Mark’s never disappoints. Our go to.
