Market Tavern Dublin
Food delish. Our hostess (Zu?) was very entertaining and very informative as she explained the menu to us "first - timers" to the restaurant. Extensive menu. Fish tacos were EXCELLENT. Highly recommend!
Amazing food & even better service
We've been there twice and the food is excellent! Decor and ambience-wise, they did a nice job of converting the old Mimi's space into a place that does actually seem like it should serve the comfort food that is on their menu.
My only complaint is how long it takes to get drinks from the bar. Both times our food server took our drink order soon after our arrival, but the drinks took forever to get to our table. However, we won't be deterred, we'll be back for more great food.
The food and service were good, but those booths there are not very comfortable for some reason! That's the only reason for the so-so ambience rating.
There were five us for lunch. Menu is varied. Food good. Service excellent.
But, noise level was so high we could not hear each other. They seated us in a banquette type table which also added to the inability to have a conversation.
My suggestion would be have sound round tables for groups of five to seven. Much better configuration.
Take away on this restaurant is it was good, nothing extraordinary but pleasant.
Location convenient with plenty of parking. Worth a try.
Yes, we would try it again.
The food is great. The server we had might have had a bad day. We actually had to ask the bus person to let our server that we were ready to order. When we asked for more bread which they charge $4.00 we said that would be fine but we were almost through with our meal and the Manager asked how everything was we told her that we were still waiting for the requested bread. My Niece said that when they went last week she the service was excellent. We did love the food.
We have been to the Market Tavern location in Stockton and was happy to see a new location closer to us. We were happy that our experience was as expected and that we will be back! We enjoyed everything!
Very noisy, no shades on west facing windows, many people had to wear their sunglasses to see their food
started with octopus appetizer, over cooked and tuff ( what a waste). wife had the skirt steak , asked for medium rare, came medium , no pink. Swiss chard was cooked to death also.
I ordered the pork chop which was ok, but to much fat on the chop. whatever they served under it was tasteless. Location is the only thing that will keep those door open for a while.
Fine menu. Food well prepared and presented.
Only problem wa no window coverings and evening sun coming in made it uncomfortable.
Everything has such great flavor and so fresh. Portions are great too.
Awesome food and crafted Cocktails. Will definitely recommend and return with friends.
The atmosphere was nice and bar was very busy. We ordered perking duck, rigatoni and sausage, fish tacos and tuna melt and all were very good, no complaints. Our server in the bar was Andre and he was very good.
We needed a great steak house in the Tri-Valley. Market Tavern has blown it out of the water. The steaks are superb and their sides are even better. Ambience and service added to the over exception experience.
We are regulars at Market Tavern Stockton so, when we were looking for a place to meet our daughter between Stockton and her home in Millbrae, test driving the MT Dublin seemed like a good idea. And it certainly was. MT Dublin has a lot of the same feel as Stockton but there are subtle differences that make it work going to as well. The menu has some of the items but there are others that are unique to Dublin. Same with the drink menu. Everything is done to the same great expectations. Service is great. Dublin has a larger patio area which makes for a great dining experience on a beautiful Central California afternoon.
Love their food! Went to brunch for the first time there. We started with the Brussel Sprouts cause they are delicious!! Ordered a large French press coffee - yum! My girlfriend had the quinoa and poached eggs and I had the chicken apple sausage scramble. We both ate it all! Very good. Our waitress was amazing and checked in on us several times. I'll be back!!
I was a little concerned when Open Table allowed me to make a 10pm reservation and the restaurant said they close at 10pm. I was pleasantly surprised that our service and food were still good. The drinks took a bit to come out, but overall the food was good. The octopus was fantastic, not rubbery at all and great contrast of soft and crunchy. The fish tacos were tasty - I usually don’t like fried fish in my taco, but this was nicely done. Not too oily or crunchy. The ambiance was nice - dark wood and intimate, but with sports on TV and lively conversations. A bit pricey, but a nice change from the usual.
I loved the atmosphere, the food was delicious and hot, and the service was great. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. Will definitely return to try another menu item.
We sat outside and it was beautiful. The food and fire pit and heaters were wonderful! Nice place to have dinner before heading back home!
Good food, bread is a la carte. Drinks are good but pricey ($12). Seafood stew was good but a bit skimpy on the fish and too much homily as filler. Not an every weekend place but a good change of pace if you are willing to spend a bit more. The service was outstanding!
Great service, great food! I'll be back! :) Thank you.🌻
Loved this new spot in Dublin. Lunch was SO good and my kids enjoyed their food and homemade play dough they were given. It was a win win! We will def be back.
I have been to Market Tavern in Stockton several times. This was my first time to the Dublin restaurant. Everything was wonderful!!! It was just as good as Stocktons. I will be back many more times and will absolutely recommend it to friends.
Yummy cocktails and food, lovely decor. Service for lunch was a little slow but they’re newly opened so hopefully the pace will pick up.
There were 6 in our party. We were seated at our reservation time. We waited 15 minutes for someone to come wait on us. My husband got up to flag down an employee. Fortunately I believe it was the manager. He sent a waiter to take our order. The manager quickly sent two comped appetizers for us to enjoy. The food was very good. The only problem besides the wait was the blinding sun coming through the windows in the back room. It was uncomfortable to anyone facing those windows. Hopefully they will address that problem with in the next few weeks. It is a new restaurant and they have some kinks to work out. We are huge fans of their Stockton restaurant. I know this one will get better as time passes. Be patient!
Market Tavern May become one of our favorites. They have some wood-fired cooking which we like. Market Tavern took over the old Mimi’s in the Hacienda theatre center. Outside bar type seating surrounds a large rectangular fire pit. We recommend giving Market Tavern a try.
The food was ok. The waiter was almost ok. We had an opentable reservation. The hostess tried to seat us at a bar hightable. When we asked to have a regular table she told us we'd have to wait. So we sat at the bar waiting to have a drink. 5 minutes later, she escorts us into a virtually empty dining room. Apparently she couldn't figure out what table would be open. During our entire meal the room had empty tables. So why seat us in the bar and why make us wait? I asked to speak to the manager. Turns out the hostess was the manager. What a disaster. When I asked why she did all of that, she basically told me off. Go to Market Tavern for the bar. Nice guys who know how to make a good cocktail. Skip the restaurant, especially if the pompous manager is there.
We went here for our daughter’s 18th birthday. It was our first time here and we really liked it! Love the ambiance and although we didn’t go outside there’s a nice patio with a fire pit that several people were outside enjoying. The have nice beer choices. My husband got the a Fieldwork IPA and we both liked it. We each had a wood fired pizza and they were so good! My daughter is Vegan and they have a vegan pizza on the menu which she loved! We all agreed that we’d go back again.
Tasteless overpriced food. Seafood was not properly cleaned. Duck with rice dry and tasteless. Even the burger was not better then any cheap fast food. How dare they charge 25 to 30 for a main dish.
Loved this new place. We will be going back often. Great food, service and atmosphere
This was our first time here. It was too noisy to talk to our friends, we kept getting the wrong food, the salad was not washed and the drinks were not good. I will not be back.
Food was outstanding. Service was a little slow but worth the wait.
Great place to go, friendly staff and great ambiance
This was our first visit to this new restaurant in Dublin. Was seated in back section which had little atmosphere and was not very inviting. We should’ve asked to be moved because there was plenty of open tables in the main part of restaurant.
Ordered pork chop that couldn’t be eaten due to being undercooked even after sending it back to be cooked more.
They credited me for the meal. Desert was good
Dined at Market Tavern for lunch. Fairly noisy due to large party sitting behind us, but the food and service were greatly appreciated. Fish tacos were tasty; tortillas are made in house. A mushroom pizza was a good size and really delicious. The large selection of craft beers is very appealing.
Will definitely dine there again.
It was my son’s birthday that we were celebrating; they brought out one of the desserts with a lit candle.
Great Food! Great ambiance!
Great bartenders. I will come back!
Food was good. We had a bad location for the table, near the doors and it was cold outside. Noise level was too high. I never got my wine until almost done with my meal.
