This is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. Everything was phenomenal. Sauce flight is a MUST. The green Chile risotto is to die for. Service was impressive. I can’t wait to return the next time I’m in town.
Consistently excellent. We are regular diners and have never been disappointed
We went for Mother's day. Husband had a filet and ceasar salad. I had better poached lobster and bone marrow and truffle fries. I was the best steak and lobster we ever had. Took home fries and made with breakfast the next morning. Yum. We look forward to going back!
Our experience was made especially wonderful when we got Russell for the second time as our waiter. He always goes out of his way to ensure we’re well taken care of!
Amazing ribeye. Beautiful atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
The roasted bone marrow was excellent.
The Salad was great.
The Filet Mignon was cooked perfectly.
The Crème Brulee was Awsome.
Wait Staff were perfect.
Amazing food, good location, good ambiance. Steak was over the first time, but the next one came out in minutes and was perfect. Lemon creme brûlée was the best I’ve ever had.
Excellent food and service. In our short stay in Santa Fe we have gone twice. Wonderful dinning experience, which is what you are paying for.
Very enjoyable anniversary dinner that was a memorable evening. Ian and assistant were fantastic wait staff. We dined in the courtyard and the meal was outstanding; steak tartare, crab cakes, filet mignon, lamb, grilled asparagus and drinks with an excellent bottle of wine. Pacing was outstanding and service timing and presentation spot on. Ian’s recommendations for wine pairing and after dinner drinks were excellent. Other staff were attentive as well which spoke to a good serving team. Highly recommend.
This restaurant offers good value. While menu prices can appear a little high, side dishes are large enough to share and the quality can't be beat.
Excellent service and delicious dinner from start to finish!
Wonderful fully aged steaks. Great ciabatta bread and green Chile butter. The bacon appetizer was interesting and the aioli outstanding.
Great meal, excellent wine, and amazing service. Every time we’re in Santa Fe, this is our first stop!
All of the dishes were very well prepared and the quality of the meat was excellent.
Best customer service! Food is always amazing. Favorite place to go in Santa Fe.
Service was exceptional as was the food! Highly recommend the Market Steer Stakehouse!
Great place! Service was outstanding. Very good about social distancing. Even had little pods set up outside for tables! If you go, get the mussels! Amazing! And the onion rings - insane!
The food and service was great. Nice atmosphere and everyone was great on spacing and health safety guidelines. Definitely will go back.
The Caesar salad, filet and s’mores were everything we hoped for. Service, wine and food were worth the price. Highly recommend for a special dinner.
We had an excellent meal. The presentation and the service were all excellent we could not have had a better experience. Thank you for making a great dining experience in a beautiful setting.
Wonderful place to dine! The food and service are excellent, very comfortable and the decor is beautiful! Our new favorite restaurant in Santa Fe!
Everything is a la cart and overpriced in my opinion. I am not accustom to being charged for sauce and the bread I didn't even ask for. It really feels like you are bing nickel and dimed at this place :(
Nice dinner with great service
It was our first time back 'dining in'. We chose the restaurant because we wanted it to feel celebratory. It was delightful.
We were greeted like royalty. The service was top notch . The food was excellent. It was worth the year long wait due to Covid.
It was an amazing experience. Excellent food and excellent service from all!
Every time we eat at Market Steer it’s just outstanding. The food is amazing and the staff is attentive. Highly recommend.
Great service. I ordered the lamb at a steak house. Go figure it was average. Overall ambiance and service great. But prices over rated.
The service, food and ambiance was all wonderful! It was our first time there and already looking forward to returning!!!
Antoinette the hostess and David the wait-assistant were the best. However,Ian my actual waiter was awkward, and I could tell he was treating me differently, and it wasn't a good feeling. It could be since he didn't deem me as a big ticket since I was dining alone.
First of all, after I sampled two tiny glasses of wine, I requested that I try two more wine samples because the first two were unremarkable. Flat, lifeless.
When I asked for them, Ian began to describe the two cabs I had just requested, and suggested I just pick one, before tasting them. He asked, "Do you trust me?" as if to not give me what I was asking for. I said, "I'll let you know after I taste them." From there, he went to retrieve my request.
The last thing I need is a stingy server when I needed to make my wine selection when I ended up spending $148 just for me alone; one person. I didn't need to feel rushed to order by what he said next, "I'm gonna take your order okay?" Instead of, "Are we ready to order?" or "Do we have any questions about the menu before we order?"
He needs polishing. Not a lot of people may be able to see this, behind his facade of server professionalism, like his posture, or good memory of the menu. But me, being from Scottsdale, I could see right through it, and it put a bad taste in my mouth.
Finally, the Wayagu steak was too fatty, I ended up dumping most of it onto my plate as it was too chewy. I wasn't impressed at all; I only loved the cream spinach and the bourbon dessert which were both superb and unique. But overall, this restaurant is too overpriced for the pushy service I received, and for the bad steak. I'd only go there for cocktails, desert, and sides in the future.
Everything was amazing we really enjoyed our favorite place!
Amazing- per usual. Our favorite dining experience in Santa Fe. :)
I was excited to eat at Market Steer, but disappointed that the food was not as good as other times I've eaten there. It's expensive, but meal didn't feel like it was worth the price.
Expectations were met for a fancy, expensive steakhouse experience. Unique menu options and many delicious homemade items. Staff was friendly. Was a little surprised nothing was done for my husband's birthday. We both had an amazing steak dinner. I ended up with a stomach bug the next day but unsure of the source. Food was very rich.
Amazing quality and quantity! I’ve had many steaks! And the one I had here topped them all!
Dined here for my wife's birthday. We were greeted with a glass of champagne to celebrate. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable.
Would DEFINITELY recommend eating here, great ambiance, service, attention and the food was fantastic.
Thank you for what was quite possibly one of my all-time favorite dinners while dining out. We had a late reservation, and were treated like absolute good from the entire waitstaff, including the chefs and owners. The service aside, the food was absolutely succinctly and the best prepared NY strip I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying.
Thank you to all employees, owners and chefs at Market Steer for a memorable, delicious meal. A must every time we visit Santa Fe.
Thank you!! 🙏
My son and his girlfriend were visiting Santa Fe and I chose Market Steer Steakhouse. It was a wonderful evening all around. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service excellent. It was especially nice when the chef stopped at our table to chat about the steaks and where they came from. Also the wine was perfect. I’m coming back for my next special occasion.
This was without a doubt the best meal we've eaten in a restaurant this year. The chef and her partner, who runs the front of the operation, were excited to be back full time and they let us know that their entire front room staff all came back. The service was impeccable and my filet was perfectly prepared. the wedge salad had the best bleu cheese dressing either of us has ever had. The surprise of the evening was when my husband, a dedicated steak guy, ordered the halibut. I don't know what Kathleen is doing back there in the kitchen with those black-eyed peas and okra that go with the halibut, but they were sooo good. And so unexpected.
We love this place and have been waiting for them to reopen. Little did I know that they would be better than ever. Get to Market Steer now!
