Always good food. Like the atmosphere
went for grandmothers 85th birthday, it was awonderful experience
It’s in Hilton Hotel. Typical hotel over the price mediocre food. Service is very good.
This is a great place for Sunday brunch with friends and families. The food is ample and fresh, and the setting is pleasant, comfortable and relaxing. Most importantly the staff is warm and friendly and worked hard to make sure that coffee was refilled, finished plates were removed, and everyone had a great time. I particularly recommend the prime rib, the shrimp and smoked salmon, the very fresh bread, and the omelet station. The manager went out of his way to see that our group was well-taken-care-of, from seeing that we were seated at a comfortable table to arranging a birthday cake for our guest of honor and announcing her special birthday so everyone could sing along (he did that for a couple of other birthday guests too). We stayed for over 2 hours and felt like family rather than customers.
The menu you see on Open Table is not even close to the menu they have
My date and I had a delightful time. The quality of the food was excellent, the stakes were somewhat undercooked, but not enough to damage the evening. The service was very good. Overall a very good experience.
I took my wife here for Valentines day, at 1st it seemed like it was going to be a nice evening however they must have been short staffed. We were served champagne out of a pitcher, which seemed really cheesy to me. When our food finally came the lobster was cold but tasty. The tendeloin on the other hand had some kind of mushroom gravy on it that was disgusting. The desert was terrible and we waited for, I kid you not 30 minutes for our bill. Then they hit us with a built in gratuity. Lastly there were supposed to be carriage rides included I never saw horse and carriage and when I asked they said they left early.
There are some things to consider, such as live music tastefully done at 6PM on Saturday, a complementary Horse and Carriage rides around the lot, to see the on site horses, waiting outfront with a friendly driver, and a big Clydesdale named Buddy. Ocala and horses seem to be the theme. There are large screen TVs at the bar, but no sound, and light music played until the live music started. The volume was good, but not overpowering, thus appropriate to the setting, and for talking and mingling.
The food was very good, if a little higher priced, but with good service staff, and a full bar. It was surprisingly kid friendly with good choices on the menu. They seem to leave it open to a Tapas and or full meals type atmosphere, with drinks and music. Good for a date night.
The hotel and staff at the Hilton are trying really hard to get your business. As for myself, I will be going back.
Sunday Brunch was as good as ever. The shrimp were fresh and the oysters were fantastic. Everything was very good, and me loving prime rib I was in heaven.
Food was good, tasted fresh. Not too much variety. Room was nice but seemed loud, couldn’t enjoy the entertainment. Overall I would definitely go again.
This was a perfect idea, the buffet was AMAZING! I definitely will be back! The music was OUTSTANDING!
We were the only one in the restaurant for Christmas Eve lunch. Waitress was nice. Food was good
Food was spot on. Oysters, crab claws, shrimp, and all the hot dishes were fantastic. The prime rib was cooked perfectly. And my wife’s omelette was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.
Overcooked snapper and a ruined filetsnapped up our experience here. Victor, our waiter tried his best but with a kitchen this inept it is hard for the best waiter in the world to overcome a cook without the skills to put out a relatively simple meal.
I suspect this was once a good restaurant from the reviews we saw. It is not that anymore.
Great staff and pretty place to eat. My dads burger was fantastic but the polenta and vegetables wasn’t very good. Maybe I just ordered wrong but I would go back. Easy and pleasant dining!
Thank you for your review, Sorry to hear that the Polenta and Vegetables was not to your liking, Hope to have another opportunity to make your next experience a perfect one. Please reach out to me to discuss. Freddy Lopez Food & Beverage Manager
The food was excellent. Beware that a gratuity will be added to your check regardless of party size. We did not notice that and that resulted in us giving the waiter a 70 dollar tip. Otherwise, it was a very nice experience.
I would like to thank you for your review and apologize that you were not made aware of the auto gratuity, the auto gratuity only applies to Holiday events. I will address this with my entire team to insure that all guest are aware immediately going forward. It is guest like you and your feed back that allow us to get better. Please reach out to me personally to discuss further. Freddy Lopez Food & Beverage Manager
Jane was amazing. Drinks were perfect. Love this place.
A child ran around the dining area with a dog during our entire meal. Live music during our entire meal. Service very very slow. Understaffed. Food however was excellent.
Tiana was pleasant and kept our drinks to the rim. Great experience as usual.
Tiana was very pleasant.
Brunch is delicious.
Husband took me for bday. Had the filet which was yummy and the sautéed green beans. Everything was on point. Emilio was on point and well spoken. Will definitely do again.
Hilton Ocala buffet is a great way to relax on Sunday or get away from preparing and cooking holiday meals.
Great service, fresh food and appropriate live music. Thanks!
Once again a perfect brunch. It is always a great time when we go there. Emilio was a perfect ten and was very attentive and ready to step in when required. Prime Rib was great and we always enjoy the waffles and omelets. The desserts also were wonderful too, as were the Mimosas. Won't be long before we go there again.
2 hours to have dinner. Flatbread appetizer took 45 minutes. Restaurant had people at only 4 tables. Server told us she was going to get our appetizer and came back 15 minutes later. Second time being disappointed here, there will not be a third.
I have to think about it.
I took my boyfriend and his family last time and we had a wonderful time, our waitress was very friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, it was perfect. Then this time, my daughter and I went for Mother's Day I was bragging to her how good it was last time. Our waiter left us after getting me water, my daughter didn't even get her drink from him, I had to call someone to get her a drink, our waiter obviously was into his big group of tables and forgot us on the corner. He didn't get to check on except when it was time to give me my bill. I had to ask the other waitress to call him so my daughter and I can go. I'm so very disappointed not to mention it was my day, Mother's Day.
Beautiful Mother's Day brunch at the Market Kitchen & Bar at the Hilton! Brunch here is always on point!
The restaurant is in the middle of the lobby. It is loud. Everyone that walks by can look right in. We did have live music which was nice . It is very bright and they have very distracting color changing lights. If you are looking for a private ambiance this is not the place. It took a really long time to get our order. Our waitress seemed a little lost and forgetful. Brought very sweet tea (she said she knew it was extra sweet because she wasn’t paying attention) and an extra glass of unsweetened tea for me to water it down. The prices are exorbitant. I ordered herbed chicken and my husband got fillet mignon. They were both braced in the same sauce. The chicken wasn’t herbed as I expected. On the website it said outdoor sitting but we found out it’s not the case. I also scheduled the reservation online and when I called to confirm they didn’t have anything reserved.
May come here for brunch but it’s not a dinner date kind of a restaurant
I guess that one of my frustrations is how clunky the open table app experience is. I was at market garden at the Hilton last night but do not see any credit being given for the hefty 1000 points in the system.
This is now the second time this has happen at this restaurant. I brought and paid for a group of 10 people the Sunday between Xmas and New Years and this reservation was never acknowledged. Really disappointing.
I have sent at least one query regarding my points to the open table administrator. No reply whatsoever.
Pleasant service from sabrina
Thought we were going to an actual restaurant but this is just the lobby bar of the Hilton. Seems to be more marketing than market. Room service food dressed up a little... NOT a gastropub. :(
so yummy !!! i highly recommend!! food was ammmmazingggg !!!
Overpriced ... food was terrible ... service was decent. Christmas Eve pri fixe dinner and was hoping for a special evening. I feel like I just through a lot of money away - like $68 per person 👎
We went to Hilton Market Kitchen for Sunday brunch. The hotel lobby, atrium and restaurant were very modern, attractive and comfortable. We arrived 10 minutes early and after a short wait our hostess Jennifer got us a great table. Our waitress/server Sally was very attentive and helpful and brought us an ample supply of (included in price) Mimosas (that was a nice surprise). Even though it was very busy Jennifer and Sally really helped make it a great experience. Food was varied and very good too as was the female singer. Definitely plan on coming back soon - overall 4.5 stars.
Recent visit was on Thanksgiving. Buffett style service. Overbooked and understaffed. Plenty of food, seating was being thrown up while dining, long waits for drinks from bar. Overall overpriced for dinner, as experience was more like being at a wedding and seated so far from the bride & groom you wonder why you bothered to show up or why you were invited in the first place. Food was tasty and will go back, just not on a holiday.
This is my favorite place for brunch in ocala. Upscale and great good and service. Highly recommended for class and special occasions for sure. Menu and service is top notch.
The most disorganized dining experience we have had lately. We could never quite figure out the issue, whether staffing or just plain lack of organization. We had to order drinks and the meal three different times from three different servers, including the manager. The setting is a lobby bar for a Hilton hotel; not a very good choice (and the only option) for guests of the hotel with kids. A big disappointment.
Thank you for you review and I must say it was not the experience we would want any of our guest to ever have. Though we would always love to hear the remarks of the great or good experience our visitors and guest have, it is the comments such as yours that allows us to step back and see what we need to do to make sure you as well as all our future guest never feel the way you did on that day. I would love to hear from you please feel free to call me F&B Manager Freddy Lopez 352-854-1400
Wonderful staff! George and Sally are the best servers, always anticipate needs, friendly and always bend over backward to make a great dining experience. Jennifer is a perfect hostess, and Chef Chris makes the very best fluffy omelette I've ever eaten!
