The food was the best I’ve had in Delaware since Harry’s Savoy Grill. There were four us with four different entrees and we all raved about our meals. I even called the next day to get the chef’s name and was told it was Chef Bob. Ambiance needs some work. I will definitely go again though.

Awesome crabcake - very little filler, and great taste.

Food was amazing and there was a lot of it. Delicious little twists in flavors and they were subtle not overwhelming. I was impressed by this little gem inside a hotel. But the noise level could be annoying-especially when the table of a large extended family with small children allowed the kids to run around in the lobby and scream repeatedly. (The lobby adjoins the restaurant) We chose to skip dessert because we were full and wanted a quieter atmosphere where we could enjoy coffee and dessert. Everything else was perfect.

Pleasantly surprised by hotel bar. Couldn’t find much open past 9 o’clock so I decided to give this place a try. To my surprise the burger was actually thick and juicy and cooked the way I wanted it. The service wasn’t great she wasn’t particularly attentive but the food was pretty cheap and decent.

The thanksgiving buffet is incredible and something my family looks forward to every year. This is out third yeti me attending and everything has stayed consistently excellent. This year my mother in law attended with the aid of a walker—the staff were very accommodating and sat us at a larger table—it was a great relief for all of us. She had plenty of space and could easily access the buffet. Some of us are vegetarian and pescatarian—In addition to the delicious Thanksgiving classics for the omnivores—there were a number of amazing salads, raw bar an open noshing area with grilled vegetables, and hummus, and the like. The buffet had a delicious citrus salmon dish, lobster macaroni and cheese and entire other space with carving stations, tons of desserts and on and on. You truly feel like your Thanksgiving is decadent: We will be back again!

Nice Thanksgiving buffet with everything from raw bar and salads to the classics. Atmosphere in Market Kitchen area cozier than big dining rooms. One suggestion—better pies to go with hand dipped Woodside Ice Cream.

Had reservations (not needed). Told to take a seat. Waited approx. 20 minutes to be waited on (getting ready to leave) , we were surprised as to the service for a hotel restaurant, but in the end the food was decent. It was supposed to be a simple anniversary dinner for two which was spoiled.
May go back in the future, but it won’t be our first choice.

Best for travelers at the Hilton who don’t want to cross the street for alternative dining.

Was not expecting a buffet.. OpenTable showed a dinner menu. We had reservations for 4pm... after being seated, we were told to help ourselves. I asked if there was a menu that we could order from? The server replied that he would check and would be back.... He never gave us a answer when he came back. We walked the tables of the left over Mother's Day brunch buffet... most trays were mostly empty if not completely empty. The Stations weren't kept clean.. there were only a few plates available... ALL BUFFET STAFF were standing around talking to each other and hovering the tables making it very uncomfortable to approach. The staff started to break down the buffet while there were still tables eating. Paying $65 a person for this buffet was ridiculous!

We are very sorry that you had a poor experience at Mother's Day Brunch. As a restaurant located in a hotel, it is challenging to describe our different offerings on websites such as OpenTable. Seating for our holiday buffets (Easter, Mother's Day, Thanksgiving) takes place in all areas of our venue, not solely our restaurant. We also offer a special extensive menu on these holidays. We are taking corrective action to ensure that this is made known of various websites such as this. Thank you.

I thought I was making a reservation for the restaurant, instead we had a table reserved for the Mother’s Day brunch. The food from the carving stations was cold. Many of the other dishes which were in chafing pans were overcooked. The lettuce in the salad bar was wilted. The desserts were not impressive. I was disappointed for my wife. I was expecting a fine dining experience, instead I got a three star buffet at best. The dining room was crowded and I felt like people were shoving me along in the buffet lines. I had a hard time finding anything appetizing to eat. Terrible experience. I will never go back. And for my wife and three children, it cost us $200.

We went for Mother’s Day brunch and was not told that it was almost $60 a person including my 11-year-old daughter. I looked at the Sunday brunch menu and the highest ticket item was in the 20s I knew they would be doing something special for Mother’s Day I’ve worked in this industry for 25 years nowhere did anybody mention that it was a buffet $30 well above any entrée price you usually carry. A lot of the food was cold by the time I got to eat it Or dried out.

Mothers day brunch was very nice. Staff were courteous and friendly. Managers diligent in keeping food filled and buffet clean also cleaning up around the dining room. Chef making omelets was awesome. Love Woodside Creamery ice cream but unfortunately ran out of cherry vanilla. Crab cakes delicious. Would love fresh cracked scrambled eggs on the buffet.

We went for Mother’s Day brunch. The food selection was outstanding. It was the best brunch we’ve ever been to. The price will set you back when you get the bill at 75 per person. We will go back but only on such a special occasion.

What an absolute joke. I reserved a table for Mother’s Day at the Market Kitchen and Bar only to find out upon arrival that it was in fact a buffet brunch taking place in the hotel event space.

Why do you have a brunch menu associated with your restaurant if it’s just a poorly laid out and serviced feeding trough? The food was mostly cold. I went to get a bagel but there wasn’t even a place to toast it. There was an omelette station with one person making omelettes so it took about 20 minutes of standing in line to get one. The server had no clue where anything was. And all of this for roughly $60 per person.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Reservations not required. When we arrived we were told to sit anywhere. Seating was not particularly comfortable, service was slow but friendly and the food was good. Not knowing the atmosphere, went to celebrate our anniversary and I would not recommend this venue for this type of celebration. Strictly casual, happy hour spot.

Went there for the Thanksgiving Dinner buffet. The food was very good, with a great variety (too much to try in one meal, even on Thanksgiving). Servers for beverages and clearing plates were very friendly and attentive. My only lament was that the banquet room where we were seated was a bit stark and brightly lit for a holiday occasion, and a little too loud for me at times. I would go again for sure though, but request a table in their more traditional seating areas.

We went for Thanksgiving lunch. There was a great selection at the carvery - roast beef, turkey, lamb. I particularly enjoyed the cold seafood options of shrimp and mussels. Good value for money.

Whoever authorized renovating the restaurant from it's prior cozy, traditional and classic "beef house" feel of mahogany wood paneling to the current "modern", run-of-the-mill, mediocre hotel restaurant should be fired. Tuesday night "Prime Rib" night should never be cancelled during a holiday week unless announced in advance on the website. It seems also that the usual chef who they used to have before the renovation (when it was called the "Hunt Club Lounge", I believe) has either left or has become very complacent as a result of the likely reduced local business caused by the renovation. Rule of thumb is: Don't change the "secret sauce" of a restaurant just to have a consistent decor with all the other Hilton restaurants. The Hilton could have saved thousands of dollars by just keeping the decor as the traditional beef-house feel and still pack the restaurant! There used to be lots of local events at that restaurant before the renovation took place and the food (especially the prime rib) was AWESOME, rivaling the very few other restaurants that serve prime rib in Wilmington and some in Philadelphia!!! Now, due to a very bad corporate decision, the Christiana Hilton lost its golden hook to draw in a restaurant crowd other than the hotel patrons. What a shame!
