The waitress was amazing! The food was a little under seasoned but the overall experience was nice.
Reservations not required. When we arrived we were told to sit anywhere. Seating was not particularly comfortable, service was slow but friendly and the food was good. Not knowing the atmosphere, went to celebrate our anniversary and I would not recommend this venue for this type of celebration. Strictly casual, happy hour spot.
We went for Thanksgiving Day dinner. The food was amazing! All the choices we tried were delicious. The desserts were also tasty. The lobby was tastefully decorated. We would definitely come back for another Thanksgiving dinner.
Buffet was good alot to choose from
Went there for the Thanksgiving Dinner buffet. The food was very good, with a great variety (too much to try in one meal, even on Thanksgiving). Servers for beverages and clearing plates were very friendly and attentive. My only lament was that the banquet room where we were seated was a bit stark and brightly lit for a holiday occasion, and a little too loud for me at times. I would go again for sure though, but request a table in their more traditional seating areas.
The Thanksgiving Buffet was well worth the cost. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I look forward to this event in the future.
We went for Thanksgiving lunch. There was a great selection at the carvery - roast beef, turkey, lamb. I particularly enjoyed the cold seafood options of shrimp and mussels. Good value for money.
Whoever authorized renovating the restaurant from it's prior cozy, traditional and classic "beef house" feel of mahogany wood paneling to the current "modern", run-of-the-mill, mediocre hotel restaurant should be fired. Tuesday night "Prime Rib" night should never be cancelled during a holiday week unless announced in advance on the website. It seems also that the usual chef who they used to have before the renovation (when it was called the "Hunt Club Lounge", I believe) has either left or has become very complacent as a result of the likely reduced local business caused by the renovation. Rule of thumb is: Don't change the "secret sauce" of a restaurant just to have a consistent decor with all the other Hilton restaurants. The Hilton could have saved thousands of dollars by just keeping the decor as the traditional beef-house feel and still pack the restaurant! There used to be lots of local events at that restaurant before the renovation took place and the food (especially the prime rib) was AWESOME, rivaling the very few other restaurants that serve prime rib in Wilmington and some in Philadelphia!!! Now, due to a very bad corporate decision, the Christiana Hilton lost its golden hook to draw in a restaurant crowd other than the hotel patrons. What a shame!
The food was good overall but it took forever to get the main meal and deserts. Fortunately, we had time to accommodate the very slow service.
Nice brunch menu. Berry parfait was outstanding. Delaware Benedict was under seasoned, but nicely presented. Great service, nice ambiance, easy parking. Would definitely come back — a nice option in an area without much good breakfast.
Another nice place for holiday brunch
