I was in Cleveland this weekend for a wedding, and we dined at Lola which is another highly rated restaurant on Friday evening. Needless to say, we came to The Market Garden Brewery for lunch on the Saturday and were mind blown that it was significantly better food then where we had dined on the Friday. Beers were unique, and the food was incredible! We came back for brunch the next morning, which was also incredible. Thanks to the staff for such a great experience at Market Garden. When we visit Cleveland again, we will be sure to stop by again!
We were trying to have a special gathering with people from out of town, but our table was by a very loud music speaker and our service was slow for drinks and dinner! We complained about the loud noise, and wish they could have moved us to a quieter spot! Very disappointed.....
I was there with my teenage son for brunch before a Cavs game. With the Open Table reservation system we were seated right away in a great spot by the window. The staff was super respectful and engaging. Food was fresh, delicious, and served in a timely manner. Had not been here in a long time and will be returning very soon.
Had the veggie burger since it was a Friday during Lent, and was unfortunately disappointed. The bread was soft/soggy and the actual "burger" kind of just fell apart, so ended up eating with fork and knife. Fries were delicious. Recommend maybe toasting bun and cooking burger a little longer. Overall atmosphere was very pleasant and fun, though. I will continue to go to Market Garden in the future.
Sat in the bar area even though had a reservation and comfy booths were open??? Food was good Fish Chowder was very strange thick pea soup texture. On a complaint to our waitress she removed it from our bill. Would return to dine again.
He food was wonderful, service was great. I could hear my colleagues speak, so not too loud.
Our server Jeana was awesome, was even able to get a special side request added to a meal. Food came out quickly and properly prepared. A steak had to go back for a little attention but it's not a steak house. Great time.
Good value for the location and great service.
Market Garden is a nice place for a casual dinner/drink. Food was good portions and very tasty, a bit pricey but nothing crazy. We had a great time. To me the menu changed for the better
Great beer, even better food. Service was okay.
Our waitress Peggy was fantastic, the Bloody Mary's rocked, Mussles ruled, Chicken Pumpkin Waffles off the chain.
My parents were visiting and my Mom has a service dog. The staff was very accommodating and made sure that both my mother and the dog were comfortable. Food and drinks were excellent as well.
Great food; and great beer. But the service hasn’t improved! Made the reservation for noon & I was told our table was ready but the server hadn’t arrived? 🤔 so we had to wait extra... even though the restaurant opens at 11am....
Food was fantastic. Server was a little forgetful
Took my parents out for a Christmas gift dinner then drove them around to see the lights on Public Square.
Table was waiting for us and service was great. The Beer Cheese soup is Fantastic.
very accommodating with our short notice (re-reservation)
The Market Garden was an excellent choice for our get together. We enjoyed an diverse menu, an excellent meal, an extensive selection of on-prem brewed beers, a friendly and courteous staff and reasonable prices. I highly recommend the Market Garden. We plan to return soon ourselves!
Reservations were super helpful. They put us right by the main door (not great for December) but moved us upon our request. Brunch menu is really a lunch menu. Not a ton of options. If you want a Sunday brunch, don't come here. They didn't have basics. But, what we did have was good. The server seemed a little put out, but it could have just been an off-day. I've always had great experiences here, so I'll chalk this one up to a busy December and will try again.
In from Detroit for a visit to the Rock & Roll HOF and the A Christmas Story house. Third or fourth time dining at Market Garden for a reason. We just love it! My son is autistic and we had been promising him pizza all day to keep him calm. It wasn't on the menu. The waiter ordered pizza from across the street and had it delivered just for my son. Then Market Garden picked up the tab for the pizza. Unbelievable!!! Very touching moment for my wife and I. THANKS TO EVERYONE AT MARKET GARDEN! See you next year! Happy Holidays as well!
Great selection of their beer, no much on other domestics. Tacos, burger are amazing. Chicken sandwich was fabulous.
Seated in the downstairs area that I didn’t even know existed—nice and removed from the action upstairs. Awesome!
Good food, great service. Sat immediately thanks to our Opentable reservation. Friends ordered burgers, which were huge and delicious. We split pretzel and mushroom flatbread. Also very good. Beer selection was very diverse. Good experience. Will come back.
I made reservations for 7:15 for a group of 4 people to celebrate a 50th birthday and a 24th wedding anniversary. We have been to Market Garden many times and I know it can get crowded, especially on weekends, hence the reservation. The hostess that greeted us led us to the table and abruptly informed us that there was another party scheduled for our table at 9pm. Basically, she let us know that we needed to eat and get out. This was the first time I have experienced this, and I found it to be extremely off-putting and offensive. My group was really just planning to have a couple of drinks and dinner before heading to the casino, but it was annoying to be informed up front that we couldn't stay past 9 if we wanted to. Market Garden should offer training for their hostess on basic skills of hospitality. The beer and food were good (as usual), and our server was really nice and helpful.
Host barely acknowledge we where there. Server was inattentive and would disappear. Beer was mediocre and food was over seasoned and salad was over dressed. It was very loud and hard work o talk with other people at table.
The restaurant was nearly empty, yet it took over 45 min for our food to come out. We also only saw our waitress when she took our order.
Our server was great. I think his name was John. Y'all ran out of Riesling which was not a goood thing hiwever
Great beers and food is better than average for a brewery oriented bar. Had the chicken sandwich and fries and others had burger and vegi burger and all three were a solid compliment to better really good beers.
My wife and I had a great meal and great time here after a Tribe game. Different menu but liked it and the food was very good. Casual dress and a lot going on here. Highly recommend it for someone wanting a fun, nice atmosphere
I love Market Garden's Prosperity beer so I decided to go here to sample some of the other beers they only offer on tap. The beer is fantastic. Definitely not a place to go for wine or cocktails as they're not worth the price. My sandwich was also great (the cubano) but others in my group had mixed feelings about the menu. Its probably best to stick with the comfort foods on the menu, especially if you're not into some of the fancier ingredients the chefs use such as smoked blueberries and chard.
Love this spot! My fav place in Ohio City. Best cider on draught in town.
Market Garden Brewery has great food and a great selection of beer!
The back patio is really cute and it's a great value ($7 for an omelette that left me very full) but unfortunately the food isn't that great. Omelette, while filling, wasn't very interesting or original and the mimosa flight was underwhelming. The food and drinks are good enough that when paired with the ambiance, I'd still recommend it. Just don't expect food to blow your mind.
Tasty food! Delicious drinks and a good place to get together - with a lot of different food options!
Service was slow. Beer was great. Menu featured typical bar food, but we opted for high-end items - osso buco and salmon. Osso buco was so-so and salmon was raw on top. The grains served with each entree were not cooked through and it was very disappointing to have to eat the salmon alone and wait for the rest of the meal to be cooked properly. My salmon/crunchy farro was comped (Yay) and we learned that when in a bar, order bar food.
The table was ready at promised time with very fast service. We were on a tight schedule due to the abrupt need to be at airport. We were called in for a Patriot Guard detail of an escort if a fallen US Navyman. The food was fantastic and service was wonderful.
I love market garden. Top of my list for W 25th st. Good food, good drinks and good atmosphere! Almost everyone had the beer cheese soup, soooooo good!
When I first arrived the hosts were very rude and ignored us for about 2-4 minutes. This is relevant becasue when I gave them the time of my reservation they mentioned that it was already 4 minutes past my reserved time. The service was fantastic from our server, but, the food was meh, they were out of multiple items that my party ordered and we were mostly dissapointed. Their Peach Margherita Flatbread tastes exactly like a Citronella candle smells, and when they say, Fresh Baked Salted Pretzel, they mean one pretzel stick.
I don't plan on returning.
Went here with family. We all enjoyed the food. Service was excellent and polite. Everything came out in a timely fashion. Would recommend to anyone.
I have been here twice and both times been underwhelmed by the food. I had the peach pizza and my boyfriend had chicken and waffles. The chicken and waffles had gravy instead of syrup and it was so bad we both spit it out. Our server however was wonderful.
