Fun place with interesting and well presented food. Donna was most gracious and helpful, giving us great hints about things to do and see in town.
Best burger in Seattle. Warm and friendly.
We love Marjorie - this is a true "neighborhood gem"
Keep up the great work Donna !
As always, Marjorie was warm and wonderful. Service was a little slow but we weren't in a hurry and I think restaurants all over the City are suffering from not having enough staff.
Always lovely! Always delicious! Muy favorite go-to in the neighborhood!
Good food but portions are too small for the price
We went to Marjorie to celebrate our son's 21st birthday. The service was so great. Our server was so attentive as well as he owner and any employee that visited our table. The mango salad was especially fresh and delicious and the freshly warm plantains were outstanding. It could not have been a more beautiful night for outdoor dining in the beautifully appointed courtyard space. Thank you for a lovely birthday evening.
Had a wonderful server, great food, lovely atmosphere, nice decoration, good ambience and fine cocktails :-) Would definitely recommend.
The food was fabulous! Wait staff was friendly, and menu choices were varied and interesting. On the downside, the food came out slowly and the music was too loud and occasionally just distracting (rap). In spite of the issues, I would definitely go again and would recommend it to friends.
Starting with the plantain appetizer and finishing with the pork cheeks, my husband had the Alaskan halibut, and a couple of amazing cocktails, this restaurant provides not only a charming Urban outdoor seating area surrounded by lush foliage but a tremendous dining experience. My husband said it was one of the best meals he's ever had. He's going to be talking about it for years to come. Our server was top-notch and the service as a whole was perfection. Does it sound like we had a good time? The answer is, go there now. Here's a picture with our wonderful server.
Wonderful food and pleasant service in a great neighborhood location
Took a while for us to get drinks, then took a LONG while for our food to arrive. My margarita was great and generous. Food was adequate, similar to what you'd get at a baseball game for slightly less money.
Traditional menu with a Caribbean flair. Their jerk chicken is their signature dish , and is on the menu year-round. They have a halibut dish on their menu occasionally that I found to be outstanding. If you see it - order it. You're welcome!
The food was delicious. My server was attentive and wonderful. The owner came to my table to speak with me and share with me what was in my dish and how it was made. She was so nice. And even gave me some plaintain to take on the plane with me! It was fabulous! Would definitely go again when I am in Seattle.
The food was amazing and the service was even better! Definitely a must go!!
Good for a special occasion. Our halibut was cooked perfectly. The salad and burrata appetizer were decent but not outstanding.
Food took 1.5 hrs. Over priced compared to the taste
The food and drinks are delicious and unique! A special place to go to be with special people.
The ambiance is great and our server was delightful. Delicious cocktails, but the food did not meet expectations. Our burger was supposed to be medium rare and it was well done and super small with no lettuce, tomato, or onion. The burrata didn’t taste very fresh and was disguised by way too many other flavors. The flatbread was too dry and we ate the Huitlacoche Agnalotti pasta just had a bad flavor in general. Thought it sounded unusual and adventurous but the fermented corn inside actually just tasted past due...Leaving this review mostly for the restaurant owners because I think it has potential!!
Food is tasty. One of our party thought the portions were too small for the prices.
The rest of us were Ok with it.
Service was sometimes a bit slow.
Servers are friendly and knowledgeable and cheerful.
Sitting outside was pleasant.
I brought three people who had never been, and everyone fell in love. The colors, the great drinks menu, and the very very tasty food wowed us all. We were in a silly mood and our server Katie wasn't fazed at all. Thanks, Donna and team!
We were seated and waited 10 minutes without anyone coming by to say hi. We were then asked to move tables. We waited another 5 mins and still no service and it wasn’t that insanely busy. We felt totally forgotten about and got up and left. The host didn’t event bat at an eye or try to convince us to stay. I would not try this place ever again, horrible service.
Love the setting, the food and the people. Cannot stand the loud music, however. We’ve arrived with friends only to have to leave a few times due to not being able to hear each other talk.
Also: please invest in comfortable seating!
Great food and hospitality! It's rare you see the owner and Donna is. Fro. The minute we walked in we were treated with the upmost class.
Our experience at Marjorie Restaurant was exceptional. We ordered varied items on the menu and no one was disappointed with their selections. The customer focus and customer service was outstanding from the door to the table. Especially noteworthy was the server Katy. She went over and above providing service to our group!!
One of my favorite spots in Seattle. Reliable, elegant, delicious and comfortable all at once
Unpretentiously staffed by the nicest people in Seattle. Only come here if you prefer skillfully crafted cocktails and immaculately prepared dishes that will satisfy your craving for umami.
Super comfy but well beyond the standard of a mere “neighborhood restaurant”
Lovely Atmosphere, great food and attentive staff. A truly wonderful experience and a great venue for that special dinner.
After a positive experience this summer, we returned in early September (weeknight) to a much less favorable evening. Our simple dinner took two hours, with food absent for the first 70 minutes. While Marjorie explained to us that they prepare to order, I discovered a large (20+) private party in the back room that was likely the true cause of our delay. Unfortunate and we will take Marjorie off our list of go-tos. The food was good but not worth the price or the wait.
Good food, and their family style meal for large groups was great. Happy to go back again!
Marjorie never disappoints! Excellent food & equally excellent cocktails, and gracious and attentive service to boot. I always bring my out of town business guests here, and they always comment on the lovely experience at Marjorie
Yes! We love the atmosphere and the creative dishes. Just a special place.
Food and ambiance are great!
Drinks just ok.
Service horrible - one hour and twenty minutes waiting for main entree. Not sure what the problem was, server or kitchen. But it was unacceptable, it completely ruined the evening.
Food was wonderful and creative. Unfortunately staff ignored our table. We were in a separate room with only one other table. The waitress and other staff almost never came in and when we did manage to place orders it was in piecemeal so we ended up taking 3 hours for our dinner even though it was 8 at night when we sat down.
Light was uneven over our table and dark and wall decorations were underwhelming. Prices were high.
We found Marjorie during Restaurant Week and came back because we loved our experience. We had a lovely evening with friends and great food and drinks. It’s a trek for us from Bothell, but we hope to be back soon!
I really loved this restaurant when I came for Seattle Restaurant Week, but my past visit left me wishing it was a bit better. We had the plantain chips w/ dip and halibut tacos to start and they were delicious. Our drinks were also tasty. The main dishes left me wanting more for the price we were paying. Our greens were a little too vinegary for my taste and I felt like I was hoping for more flavor in our jerk chicken. I'll be back to try other things on the menu and when I'm craving their roasted carrots with za'atar.
Fresh ingredients from local farms and venders. Great food. Chilled atmosphere. Great drinks! Awesome Staff and owner.
This place is a MUST try for all.
The staff are very knowledgeable about the food and pairing drinks. They are very friendly and one can tell they enjoy being there. The food is fantastic with so many amazing flavors...farm to table fresh food. I highly recommend Marjorie's to anyone that wants to enjoy a nice evening.
Our favorite neighborhood place for when we want something better than usual. Everything was great.
