Marjorie has delicious food and a quaint atmosphere. Get away from the hustle and bustle of Cap Hill. Marjorie is an oasis with a neighborhood vibe whose food shines through without bells and whistles. We had an amazing experience and service at Marjorie and will be back again soon.

I love this restaurant! After a couple of years' hiatus for no good reason (work, moving, etc.), I returned to eat at Marjorie a couple of months ago, and have eaten there twice more since. The food is delicious, varied, and super fresh (we especially like the burrata and pear, fish tacos, and the Jamaican Jerked Chicken). The staff is welcoming and charming, drinks are excellent, and the ambience low key, just lovely. So glad we returned - it is our new favorite place to dine out!

Got thrown in the back room, which seemed quickly improvised for Valentine’s day or other high traffic occasion. Poorly heated and insulated room, far from the kitchen so every of our overpriced dishes took for ever to come out. First was seated by the door which was opened continuously so moved to a table farther from the door. Unfortunately, the other table was by the restroom, so just as bad. For $95 per person I felt utterly ripped off. Never going back.

I love this restaurant. It’s classy and homey at the same time. The food is always perfect and Donna and her staff have this down to a science. Don’t leave without purchasing the plantains.

We came in on Valentine’d Day so understandably they were busy, but the server or food runner forgot a couple things and we had to ask for them again. Like I said it was a busy evening so we didn’t fuss or worry too much over that. Food wise, everything was good except for the the main entree. We both chose the steelhead, it was underwhelming. Cocktails were great and deserts were yummy. Overall it wasn’t super memorable, and I wish I could have experienced their regular menu. From what I read online, it sounded much more exciting that the five course meal that was offered. We might come back another night when things aren’t too hectic.

We have been eating at Marjorie for 6 or 7 years and have never had a bad experience. The food is wonderful and the staff are great. Their menu changes slightly with the seasons so don’t be surprised if your favorite item isn’t available but know that there will be something just as wonderful in its place.
