Food is good, I had grain and lentils salad and leek soup, soup was tasty, grain salad was not what a imagine.
There were way too much grains which is hard to digested.
The service was not good, we ordered our beverages and waited forever. My companion got her drink first , while my didn’t come until I asked the waitress for it again.
The restaurant was very busy and it seemed like there was only one waitress.
This was my second visit. The first time my experience was very good.
I am not sure if I will come back again.

A little gem hidden in Chicago’s Contemporary Museum of Art. Wonderful food artistically presented on a pretty setting. For dinner wish there were more booths or cozy spaces as feels a bit to lunchtime but nonetheless lovely. Good waitstaff - like many restaurants could be a bit more efficient on asking drink requests first vs the “do you have any food allergies?”!

The food was great but the service was dreadful. We asked 3 people for mustard, on the 4th try we got it. Waiter was uncommitted to us and to our service. Not good form. This was October 4th for lunch.

Such a great hidden gem! It’s the kind of secret you want to share with everyone & keep for yourself.
The staff is super cute & such a cool design.
The food is so innovative & delicious, the sunflower hummus is Show Stopper!
Great pre-theatre spot & it’s in a museum so it’s way cool!

Great place to eat and good food but limited to brunch menu at 1pm. Neither of us really wanted eggs but not much choice!

Lovely space and delicious food. Cocktails were great. Service was attentive. May have been because our party of 4 was there late in the day but the noise level was low and we were able to hear each other well. Pleasant dining experience.

This is a surprising café in the middle of a museum lobby. The hard walls made for a noisy atmosphere but the food was delicious. We had the Buratta and also a lovely salad with mushrooms hidden underneath. I love the pasta with the shredded duck and the fried breadcrumbs on top. The only spoiler was that the next day I received a notice from OpenTable that I had missed my reservation from the restaurant. Make sure to tell the greeter that you have a reservation from OpenTable even if he seat you because there are plenty of tables open. that extra And unnecessary aggravation was the reason that I demoted my rating from five stars to two stars

Overall, Marisol was very "meh," especially for the price. I wasn't in love with any of the dishes I ordered, and for $50 a person (excluding drinks) I expected much higher quality food. Our waiter was super pleasant, but he rushed us to order and disappeared after we got our food. The restaurant is beautiful but I was very underwhelmed. I would most likely never go back, and would certainly not recommend it to a friend.

While the service was good and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, my companions and I were very disappointed with the food. Two of us ordered the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were barely cooked. When pierced the yokes ran as liquid and the whites were not far behind. There was no substance that could be picked up with a fork. The kitchen made a second attempt on my serving. The white covered the yolk with at least a film, but it all ran again in a liquid. I ate one part by sopping the liquid up with the English muffin, but could not eat the second one. To the restaurant’s credit, it did not charge for my meal. One companion diner ordered the Shrimp ad Grits and was very disappointed - very few bits of shrimp. Our order of bacon was delicious.

We have been looking for a neighborhood replacement for the late, lamented Bistro Zinc and are delighted to have tried Marisol. The food was a refreshingly updated bistro menu - terrific ingredients in beautifully plated combos that wowed us both. Loved the pork collar, which I will order two of as an entree next time, and the mafalde. Husband raved about the halibut. Both paired very well with a Spanish garnaca and carignan blend (very reasonably priced). Our attentive and polished server recommended a ginger-infused yogurt “tart” for dessert which was outstanding. Given its location in the MCA one could almost believe you have been transported to Paris.

In a word, just fabulous

We had another great meal at Marisol -- started with the Marisol Salad, which has to be our favorite salad in Chicago. We had the tartare and pork collar to share. We then had the Fried Quail, Prawns and Garganelli -- all were excellent.

Lovely gourmet option at the MCA in Chicago. However, the price tag reflects museum prices. The food is delicious, but in my opinion, not nearly as good as their sister restaurant, Lula Cafe. It is very open (pretty much in the hallway of the museum basement) so you don't feel like it is super special.

Second time at Marisol on a Tuesday and while the food always excels the service, while pleasant, is very lackadaisical. Our wait person could not answer our questions re. the menu on a couple of questions and had to go back to the kitchen to check, twice for one query because they forgot. Also, our food took a long time to come much slower than some people who arrived after us. This is a shame because otherwise Marisol would be one of my favorite restaurants in the part of town.

Outstanding option in Streeterville/north end of Mag Mile! And who’d have thought it would be in a museum? The veggie burger actually tastes like a regular beef burger (although it’s not Impossible or Beyond brand) and is one of the best I’ve had in a long time. You can also have a more casual bite at the coffee/lunch counter outside the restaurant (but inside museum) while you work or read.
