We try to do every Friday on our patio outside for happy hour from 330-630. Summertime is Friday through Sundays!
We had a very good dining experience at the Marisol.
BEWARE !Made a reservation for a college graduation dinner for 8pm. Hostess asked if we wanted to sit inside or on the patio. Since it was cold and windy we asked for a seat inside. Hostess told us since we had booked online - we could not have a table inside. She stated there were heat lamps and blankets on the patio.
We were seated a table with just a table cloth ( no table settings) & no heat lamps or lighting. We asked the manager if they could bring heat lamps and blankets. He told us they were out of both (no apology) and walked away. After 5 min passed a server brought water in plastic cups. We asked for menus and she stated they were out of menus and she would bring some when they became available. There we sat in the dark, freezing - with no place setting, no heat lamps, no light or menus. It was apparent that they were over booked and understaffed and didn’t care.
A waitress finally came after 10 minutes to take drink order- but we were all on our phone scrambling to find another restaurant. When we told here we were going to leave she looked relieved and walked away. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! I have read a number of similar reviews and would suggest that Open Table drop then if they are going to treat those that book on the platform poorly.
We went here to celebrate our daughters graduation from Cal Poly, it was a perfect evening. When sun disappeared we were offered blankets for the outside patio seating. We will definitely dine here again in the future!
Worst experience ever for my graduation weekend, they upped their prices by about 100% and had a smaller menu. No substitutions at all, not even the type of cheese on the burger, it was absolutely horrible. Extra tables were put into the bar area - horrible noise level. Would never eat here again, the service was horrible.
Great view and great food good service definitely be back out second time there
No fruit. Lots of Mexican food choices (enchiladas, tacos etc). Eggs Benedict’s over cookeked. No bread choices except on request. Prime rib and lamb, nice. But overall a bit incomplete.
The food, drinks & service were amazing! Huge shout out to Cami, she was a fabulous, friendly & very patient waitress.
Very disappointed, we go to Mirasol at least once a month for Sunday Brunch and it has always been fabulous, however this time was different. We were seated next to a large group that were having a baby shower and they were very loud. We asked to be seated somewhere else and though there were at least two open tables we could see in the dining room we were told that alternate seating wasn’t possible. It was so loud and uncomfortable that we chose to leave and go elsewhere.
Celebrating brunch with girlfriends
We've been treated great by all your staff. Our waiter Stephen was amazing
Terrible service. Cold coffee. Asked for a refill and the waitress went and stood by the bar and chatted for 10 min with bartender before filling my coffee cup. We were there for the brunch and no one cleared our plates until we asked.
The restaurant was busy but still quiet enough for a great Mother's Day celebration. The food was excellent, tasty with a great selection of sauces for tuning to your specific taste. The wedge salad was great, our steak dinners were also quite good. We topped off the evening with dessert which was very tasty.
There are certainly places that are better known on the Central Coast, but this has become our go-to location for a great meal at a competitive price for higher-end dining.
Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
Food was very salty!!!
Live music was way too loud when door was opened between dining room and bar
We went for Sunday Brunch at Marisol and it was AMAZING! All the food had such great flavor and the chocolate strawberries were a perfect end to the meal!
At brunch your paying for the view. The view is amazing but food options can improve compared to other brunches. The bottomless mimosas are awesome!
Fantastic food and service!! Thank you!
We choose this restaurant to enjoy the ocean view however tents blocked the view (probably from a wedding that day?). The food was good, pretty standard, limited menu. There was a party of 6 women who were extremely loud and this really changed the entire atmosphere. This was our 2nd time going, and sadly our last. With so many other places to eat in that area, the food and atmosphere didn’t live up to the prices.
Scallops were over cooked and didn’t receive the initial bread serving as stated
We made reservation request the day before to eat on patio by heater/fire. When we arrived they informed us that they could not accommodate us and we could only eat inside. They really should have let us know. We would have went somewhere else.
We ordered 2 appetizers.
The calamari was very plain no flavor and sauce tasted like plain mayo and ketchup mixed together.
The cheese board was not as listed one the menu. There were no nuts listed on the menu yet 2 kinds of nuts were included while other items listed were missing like honey. If the menu had listed what was actually included I would have ordered something else.
Marisol misrepresented what they offered.
We left without ordering an entree.
Bacon on wedge salad was warmed, but not cooked. Scallops were overcooked, and rubbery. Dark bread only with seafood and pasta was a surprise. Pasta and chowder were nicely done.
Servers were friendly, but servings arrived before prior plates were cleared, causing us to shuffle plates to make room.
They have the makings for a wonderful dining experience, but fell short.
Be prepared for a very loud night. The food is pretty good, very casual, a little expensive and the beautiful view, if you sat outside or at a specific window table is really good. But sitting outside is very cold, and the sun goes down around 7:30 so then it become a bit irrelevant. Nice service people.
My husband and I am made a dinner reservation to celebrate our very first wedding anniversary on Sat, 4/6. We were seated at a table for four which made it feel less intimate for our date. The drink that I ordered was very disappointing. Also the food portions were extremely small for what we paid. The only acknowledgment we got for our anniversary was a brief mention from our server. I was very surprised a high end restaurant did not do more to acknowledge our special occasion.
I suppose any good restaurant can have an off night. This was one of those rare occasions where unlike our previous visits there, we left a bit disappointed. My Caesar salad was slathered in dressing to the point of overwhelming the salad. The others at our table ordered the wedge salad. All three salads received skimpy amounts of blue cheese dressing. The dressing normally had chunks of blue cheese, but there were none this time. It might be time to retrain the salad person.
Other than that, things were great. The service was excellent, as were our entrees.
Celebrating 40th anniversary. VERY cozy spot by the fire place and view of the ocean. As in the past, food was excellent and we were surprised with a brownie/ice cream dessert to honor the event. And when we got the bill, we were very pleasantly surprised. For drinks, appetizers, and awesome meal, we were shocked not to be charged more. The service was very very good; all of our needs were addressed. This is why whenever we come to Pismo, this is where we go for dinner.
We loved our experience! We enjoyed the Sunday Brunch while overlooking the gorgeous ocean. The shrimp, carving station, fresh salads, and desserts were delicious!!!
Our waiter, Charlie, was very attentive and friendly. He kept the champagne flowing and rounded out the experience. We plan on going back quite often.
We made a reservation and hostess planned to sit us inside on a warm evening. We asked to be seated outside on the vacant patio and waited holding our various menus until we were seated without any plates. Very strange experience.
Your Maitr'd David is amazing. He always takes good care of us and makes us want to come back. Also your waiter Charlie is so so good
Great ocean view, great energy, very friendly staff !!!!
It had been years since I dined at Marisol so I didn’t really have expectations. Well I’m happy to say that my brunch experience was on par with Ventana Grill’s the weekend prior which was pretty impressive! Right off the bat I was greeted by the manager and given a table by the cozy fireplace. I was also fortunate enough to have Charlie as my server. He was extremely attentive and also very friendly. Will definitely be back because of the positive experience. Thanks Marisol!
Great value for the money, creative dishes service was really good we were taken care of. Will return for sure! Also, awesome views.
Always good tasty dinners.
Beautiful views off patio, very nice service , awkward menu only because we had lunch rezzies at 1 pm but still a major breakfast menu. We were recommended the Ahi taco plate and it was perfect to share with a cup of decent chowder.
Will come back for views and tacos!
Went there for my husbands Birthday and we both enjoyed the food and the ambiance💕. Only thing we did not like was the steep corkage fee😔
We come here many times during the year and always for my husbands birthday! David is awesome and so are all the servers. We love you guys!!! And you can't beat the view and the food!! Pure love!
Good food but nothing special.
Great service, good atmosphere price is high for what you get...
Love the food everything is so delicious and everyone's very friendly love going there. And the view is beautiful too. Love is better than Ventana Grill.
I have been here several times for brunch and every time the food has been great and the service good. You definitely get you money's worth for brunch here. Unfortunately, last time I had brunch here, nearly every champagne flute had left over, dried fruit pulp stuck to the inside of the glasses. We even asked for clean flutes and received flutes with pulp stuck to them once again. Usually there is no problem with dirty dishes, however, they must have rushed through cleaning their champagne flutes this time around. Overall I would definitely recommend the brunch here and I hope that the dirty dishes was just a one time thing
Very nice. Excellent steak. Menu is limited but food is prepared skillfully.
