We enjoyed a nice dinner outside on the deck by the bar with family members. I had the roast chicken and my wife had the shrimp risotto, both were very good and the shrimp were huge. The service by everyone was outstanding, but particularly would single out our server, Mary.
A couple of things to note though. First, they don't have a menu the identifies gluten-free items. In fact, Mary could only verify the one salad was gluten-free. Second, be careful with where they seat you outside. The first table to offered us was behind a tent and you couldn't even see the ocean. They were nice enough to relocate us and set a table on the patio by the bar. However, I wouldn't go here for a meal with view, there are other restaurants in Shell Beach with better options for that.
The food was excellent, perfect ambiance, great service!
Always perfect. The food is great but the service is over the top.
Excellent service. Views and ambiance exceptional.
We had a wonderful dinner in a lovely setting. Our waiter was excellent. The oysters Rockefeller appetizer is a must try. We both had the filet which again was excellent and perfectly cooked. We even made room for dessert. It was worth it....all I can say is their take on smores is worth the calories.
Sunday night and it was moderate busy at best and the vegetables were undercooked Overall experience was good
Server seemed too rushed to care more about us, but food was great....
Server was awesome! Forgot his name but he was the British guy.
We planned and requested outdoor dining in order to enjoy the sunset, which we did. The service was slow as the server has many tables that he was waiting on. The food, a shrimp risotto, was well presented; however, it was not as tasty as expected.
Serving food to a table in a pot with almost nothing in itThe food was very dry It was taken off of my bill
The food was delicious! View was beautiful. Our waiter CJ was very personable and made the experience so nice. We will be back!
We stayed at The Cliffs Hotel and Spa resort. Marisol is attached to the property. We enjoyed the ambience and location of Marisol. However, I would highly encourage the chef and management to increase their vegetarian and vegan food menu items. We had Spicy Mushromms (mushrooms were replaced with mix vegetables), Brussel sprouts and Chocolate Mousse for desert. The food quality was great in taste but the choices were extremely limited. We would love to see more vegan/vegetarian options in future.
Great customer service and the food was excellent!
It takes almost an hour to get our food although the food are very good. We had the pork chops and Siete Mare.
We've been there many times. Great food and service with one of the best views of the cliffs and Pacific.
The food is so good at Marisol! I’ve eaten at this restaurants for years and it was always good but really stepped it up recently. And the staff were all so nice and helpful!
Lovely place to enjoy the sunset and the service is wonderful and the food is good
Very good place to get together with friends and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere
I’ve been twice now and plan on more🌺
We have eaten here before so we were looking forward to our Anniversary meal here. They were far off their game. Food was terrible and the service was even worse! Our waitress kept disappearing on us and was never attentive.
We told the manager about our experience and he actually had cards he gave us, pre printed, saying “We’re Sorry”, good for free appetizers. Obviously having cards pre-printed shows this is a regular occurrence! Very disappointing on a very special evening!
Dined here for brunch - my daughter and I both orders the banana bread French Toast…it was amazing. Seriously best I have had. My son ordered the burger and said it was cooked perfectly and flavors were balanced. My husband order the lobster Benedict and was underwhelmed. One egg was over cooked but the second egg was cooked properly. Service was slow, but they were slammed( it was Sunday after all) so we didn’t mind. Definitely would go back.
Very nice, small menu, but all looked tasted good. Service was great.
The Lido next door is about the same price, but the food and service is MUCH better
Dinner was very good. Reasonably priced for being attached to a hotel and the ocean view was great to have. Sit outside for sure. They have heaters if it gets cool.
Totally an awesome experience. Do yourself a favor and ask to be sat in Eon’s section. You will get the best service with the greatest personality. Eon made our Birthday Celebration even that much better. Food was delicious and of course the view was breathtaking!
Filets were good. Do not get the calamari unless you fancy fried rubber bands. They make a good drink. Cliff Rye old fashioned. Ahi tuna overcooked shrimp was good.
Food was just ok and the price was too much for the quality and portion size and the bottle of wine wasn't good
Too noisy, wedding party. Left.
Not only was the food selection adequate, but our dinner was over-the-top outstanding.
Furthermore, our dessert was the best ever. I don't recall the exact name, but it was a custard lemon/strawberry tart. The following morning during conversations with other hotel guests, my wife and I hardly recommended the dessert to others who had plans to eat in the restaurant.
This place deserves 0 stars....the incompetence is astounding! We made our reservation a while ago. We waited for 30 minutes to get our bottle of wine...nothing! We went to get our own bottle of wine from our room because they somehow couldn't find the bottle of wine that we ordered! Had to talk to the manager...he somehow found the bottle 15 minutes later! We waited another 30 minutes only to find out that our food order was lost! The waitress continued to tell us that our meal was almost ready, when in fact it was never placed. We finally left...ineptitude at it's finest from the server up to the manager! We waited an hour and a fifteen minutes and only received water. There are other, fine, restaurants in the area! Don’t waist your time here.
A large group let their small child watch video on a device with the volume way up. Very distracting and disruptive.
Birthday dinner. We had specifically said we wanted to be outside with a view which they confirmed. We called to ask if we could push the Rez by 15 minutes and still have the outdoor table and they said yes. Once we arrived we were brought to an inside table. We made a fuss and they set up an unused table outside.
Our waiter Crosby was fantastic so no complaints there.
The food took a long time, and was fair. Not worth the price.
Wonderful service and food. Lovely ocean views. Hardest working and best server Cole and bartender Bill.
Asked for an ocean view table to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday over a sunset dinner and was told that the only other available table was reserved. Turns out that the other half of the restaurant had tons of open tables with gorgeous sunset views! Also, the peach burrata salad had hard, raw, barely edible peaches in it. How is that even possible in produce-rich California?!
Restaurant premises was filthy dirty. Slow service. Overpriced and mediocre food. Hugely disappointed. No parking. Would NOT recommend.
Gave us steak sauce for the calamari instead of cocktail sauce. 2 hours snd no food. Manager did comp us dinner by 9pm no longer hungry. Not enough staff, there are not ready to really accommodate a full opening. Not sure we’ll return.
The views were amazing but the staff was horrible, management wasn’t much better. Our server disappeared for 30 minutes while we sat with no food and empty drinks. We will never go back.
The service, food and views were all amazing!! Thank you Marisol
Great food with a beautiful view
Foliage was blocking view of ocean from patio dining
I am saddened that I don't remember the name of my waiter but she was amazing! This was my early birthday brunch and she made the experience amazing. She was kind and very fast and our order was taken quickly she made us feel welcomed since the moment we sat down to the moment we left.
