Mariposa, located at the Mint Museum brings world-to-table dining right to the heart of Uptown Charlotte. Our emphasis is on the communal experience that dining out with friends, old and new, should be. We welcome you to join us for an experience centered around genuine hospitality, care, and the passion to cultivate the feeling of community, fulfillment, and growth. Owner Jill Marcus shares “At Mariposa, we bring many cultures together around the table and provide a global experience right here in Charlotte”.

Offering lunch Tuesday-Friday, dinner Tuesday-Saturday, and a bustling brunch on Saturday and Sunday, the culinary team led by Chef Kinsler Josaime offers delicious food and exceptional service. Book your table at this locally owned gem for a culinary experience that spans across the world.

    Business lunch - great service - left us alone when we needed to be - very attentive when needed. Fabulous selection of light lunches - tantalized the tastebuds! Will definitely be back with more clients.

    Another great experience at Mariposa. I always have the best service and great food. Ivan (I believe was his name) was wonderful and attentive.

    My husband and I came to Mariposa for Sunday brunch at 12:45. What a lovely experience! First the restaurant is gorgeous and what a beautiful city view from most every table. Nathan was our server and he was spectacular. Friendly fun and competent. Engaged with us but also gave us our space. Perfect. And the food was outstanding especially the French toast. Might be the best I’ve ever had. We shared it and it was like a dessert after our shasusuka breakfast. Having LIVE soft jazz music playing in the background was a bonus and lovely. Highly recommend Mariposa for brunch. It’s a treat!

    Excellent service but the food was mediocre. The weakest part of the meal was the seafood on the paella. It was bland and unseasoned. I expected more at that price point.

    Perfect choice for a birthday dinner. Sat on the patio - good view of the action down on the street. Great food/service… nice variety of dishes for sharing… could use a few more vegetables ;). Interesting / varied wine list that was good quality/price points. Inside looked nice.

    We have been many times to this great restaurant. Sat outside on their patio and it was great-- Audrey, our server, was polite, friendly, attentive to details and always had a smile. We will be back before they know it!
