Outstanding service. Less than mediocre meals. Will never return, especially considering that Victoria has so many brilliant places to dine.

Halibut burger didn’t taste like real fresh fish and batter on it was much too thick. Lamb was ok, smoked salmon salad was good. Caesar’s were not very tasty(drinks)
Service was not much !

The service was excellent. The food selection could be better. The quality of food was ok. The price was on the higher side for the quality and selection of food.

This is definately one of our favourite restaurants. Starting with a oceanfront setting, the food, the service, and every other rateable attribute of the Marina is a maximum.
Incredibly, the cost is comparatively reasonable.
If we lived anywhere near Victoria, we would be regulars.

This place has great location a beautiful view. Our service was well below are average, our food arrived cold and our dessert was in edible. Too bad this used to be one of our favorite restaurants.

Favourite restaurant in oak bay!! Love the people that work there, they are extremely friendly and food is always spectacular. Not only is the dining room great, the sushi is also the best in town :)

One of our favourite restaurants. The service was exemplary and the food creative and delicious. One of the best places for seafood...always fresh. We always enjoy the view!

Always a joy to eat here,pleasant staff, great food.. only suggestion would be to install a designated charge station for electric cars.

We live in Nanaimo, but will return for special occasion meals with friends and family, when we are in Victoria. Brittany our server was wonderful. Kitchen did fantastic job of accommodating my husband’s Keto diet requests.

I have been to the restaurant three times. The first two times the food was exceptional. This time I found the food to be well cooked but didnt like the combination of flavors and textures. The vegetable gnocchi was doughy and the lemon ricotta didnt pair well with the other flavor and textures. Overall a very mushy entree.

The food was excellent, our waitress was courteous, efficient, and helpful, but the music piped in was excessively loud and inappropriate for a Sunday brunch (or anytime). Music designed for staff enjoyment.

the backdrop and space is a beautiful setting. Unfortunately the service in the dining room was not. While I watched other tables receiving bread baskets, we did not. I had to ask twice for cutlery that was removed with the appetizer plates. IF my main meal were cooked evenly it would have been outstanding. I had the scallops and prawns, and one scallop was cooked to perfection, the other was seared and raw. By the time they brought out new scallops, the balance of my meal was finished. The food itself was extremely tasty with the exception of different degrees of cooking.

The Food (Brunch) was just ok. Vegetables were raw and stringy. Other than that the service and ambiance was wonderful

Staff were friendly and helpful, our server was friendly but a little delayed in taking our order and a long wait between appy’s and dinner, also receiving our bill as my husband had to get up and ask for it.

Thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Entertained out of town guests and they too were pleased.

Excellent service. Good menu choices. Salmon and Chicken were both excellent. Nice marina and sea views. Prices on the high side of moderate.

Much has changed! I should try it again...Maybe it was an off day. Met family from out of town for brunch and they enjoyed it, but then again, their eggs were cooked properly. I had asked for mine to be cooked (poached hard) and they were most certainly not. The server did offer to replace the meal, but I decided to eat at the same time as my family. The pea-meal bacon was an unexpected surprise as well...I was expecting a slice or 'round' not a heap of shaved ham. The view was spectacular, and my guests enjoyed it, which was the best part of the experience for me.

The food was wonderful and the view was beautiful. The atmosphere was spacious, yet cozy at the same time. This is a wonderful restaurant to celebrate any special occasion.

We (my friend) and I a bit early before our 11:30 reservation - so had a quick visit before being seated!

We showed up early for dinner as we were starving after a day of sightseeing in Victoria. Turned out we were the only reservation that night so we were promptly and pleasantly accommodated. Great waitress, very efficient and attentive without being intrusive. We had a lovely meal overlooking the marina at sunset.
One disappointment was that sushi apparently wasn't available that night. I never followed up why as it appeared on the website menu but not on the menu we were presented. No big deal but I was hoping for some good sushi that evening.

A beautiful setting, excellent food and great service. My sisters and I had a lovely lunch together and were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The surprise dessert at the end to celebrate a birthday was really a nice touch.

Ambiance, could not be better, staff friendly, helpful, server was so helpful, food was delicious, well presented, again server was attentive, it was my wife’s birthday, she wanted to make sure she was happy, this is our tenth birthday visit,when we have out of town visitors the Marina is always on the agenda!
I thought the “Happy Birthday “ desert was to be crass, A class act!

disappointed with the food. expected better. found the crab cakes to be very small and was lukewarm as served. Poor value IMHO and as a result we just wanted to leave which was really disappointing as it was a milestone occasion and I had selected this restaurant precisely to impress family members. that being said the server was very good.

Nice evening and lovely view. Lovely way to celebrate my wife's birthday.

wait staff not overly friendly;the person removed my place setting at the place I wished to sit at the table;no smiles and not the most attractive people I've seen especially for a high end place;few smiles very little explanation re the menu,ie I did not know what I had ordered had lots of garlic in it as my system tolerates very little,then when my replacement meal arrived I had no fork and I had to call 3 times to get the waitresses attention and when I finally got one brought by someone else no apology.
I have eaten at you establishment many times and is one of my favourite locations but I took some friends there I was expecting much more attention and service.
I also work for a limo company looking after hundreds of cruise ship people and I tried to contact the restaurant last Saturday and no one answered the phone and when I inquired about it Tuesday evening no one seemed to care one way or the other.
I hope this was an off night as I have had better experiences in the past.
Some flowers may ad to the ambiance;maybe a better dress code ie no blue jeans and t-shirts

Anniversary lunch

Love the views and service is excellent. Appreciate the quality food sourced locally. Sometimes a bit noisy but still beautiful.

My friend thought the crab cakes tasteless, although I had eaten them the day before and enjoyed them. I was disappointed by the sushi. Normally, when I have been to the Marina for the Mother’s Day brunch Ihave been impressed by the food. Maybe this day was just an off day!

Overall it was good. Excellent service however online menu did not relfect what was available in house. Had my heart set on the beef tenderloin to learn it had been replaced by a striploin. $38 is a little steep for a striploin. Cheese board was fantastic.

Beautiful venue with spectacular views. It was our anniversary, and they reserved a really nice table next to the window for us. The food was excellent and the service was great. We will definitely come back next time we're in town!

Service was good but the food was mediocre, pricey for what you get, prices seem to be based on where you are. Service was good.

Vegetarian Gnocchi was not edible... loaded with salt. All other food was delicious.

My husband and I went to the Marina to celebrate our 20 th anniversary. We have previously enjoyed the experience very much. While the food was outstanding we felt the service left alot to be desired. We also miss the white tablecloths and proper cutlery . Candles appeared at the end of our meal. We felt that the restaurant has slipped into the “ordinary” category from the special place it was. It needs some colour, as the grey and white scheme is dull and uninteresting. While I am on it, the light fixtures were full of bugs! Sorry guys, quite disappointed this time.

value for money: overpriced for the value of the food. much ado about nothing

My son and his wife were visiting from Manitoba and I had not seen them for five years. We wanted a special place to go for good food and a place to visit. Service and food was excellent. The music was turned up quite loud around 12:30 pm. I do not think they need to play it that loud when people want to visit. A nice background type music would be much nicer.
