Its poor! There is no direction in the restaurant and the team are very inattentive, don't seem to realise when you are finished meals and simply things like sauces etc just get forgotten about! On entry the waiter did do well but then the other staff just let it down! Definitely a dont care atmosphere going on. Food is ok but it's not restaurant food it's pub food but restaurant prices

Very disappointed. Took a long drive to the area and choose to stop here for lunch. Booked a table in advance for 12. Arrived 10 minutes before and was told the kitchen doesn’t open until 12. After acknowledging this and what seems like a minute of silence, we were eventually instructed to sit in the bar area, a set of tables right next to the dining tables which were set up and ready. Seemed a pointless exercise but followed what was said. Once seated, we ordered our food. Fish and chips and a burger. Almost 50 minutes later our food was brought out. Fish and chips were ok. Good sized portion but fish was quite greasy. Burger was extremely poor. No flavour and overcooked. Once finished, we got our bill. We then sat for at least 10 minutes after asking for the card machine and while this was brought from the bar to the host desk, it was then ignored. So I went to desk to pay on my own accord. Such a shame that the service and food could not live up to the beautiful location

Beautiful stay it was my birthday and I had a birthday plate with chocolates and cake , lovely touch thankyou Food was very good and lovely friendly staff

Service slow - seems the kitchen was ‘overwhelmed’ though the room was not full. Food mediocre; a burger in particular was small and ordinary - certainly not worth the money.

We have several complaints after eating in the restaurant . Firstly however as a positive the food itself was actually very nice and well presented. The service however was not on a par. Two of the group were vegans and after choosing from the menu one was told the menu had been wrongly printed and wasnt meant to say VGA! There was no offer of non dairy spread at the meal or breakfast and this had to be asked for. Surely small tubs of Flora could have been offered. One of the main courses never appeared and it transpires that it had not been ordered. The result was 3 people had finished their mains before the 4th arrived. A replacement beer was asked for 3 times and to different waiting staff and this also never appeared. At no point was an apology made or any concessions offered. We paid for the full meal as we are not in the habit of complaining but we are not at all happy with this experience.

We had a really nice meal for 2 while staying here. Scallops and black pudding to start. Steak and cod for mains. It was all really tasty. The staff were very helpful and created a nice relaxing dinning experience. After dinner we sat up stairs with drink and enjoyed the amazing veiw. Can’t wait to come back
