    The Grand Margarita was excellent. The pork chop dinner was quite good (other than the Brussel sprouts needed to be cooked just a tad longer). The mussels were not fresh and barely edible. We did get a window seat which was very nice. Service was very good. Not sure I would go back. Overpriced for the quality of food. You're basically paying for the view.

    The view is definitely the only reason this place is thriving. Food was not great. Calamari was overcooked, lobstercargo wasn’t good. The waiter was very nice but I think he took a vacation while we were waiting on him.

    We have been to Marina Jack many times in the past and it has clearly fallen significantly. We had requested a window seat for our anniversary and did not get one despite there being empty tables by the windows (and all over the place which was previously unheard of for this venue on a Friday night). The service was OK, food OK but not exceptional (while the prices suggest an exceptional expectation). They had renovations going on the ground floor, preventing us from having a cocktail in the open air prior to dinner (we had arrived early with this intention). Vodka selection was limited, drinks mediocre. Overall, a big disappointment. With the sparse crowd, it is apparent that word has gotten around on Marina Jack not being what it once was. We will wait at least 3 years before trying it again.

    Waiter was absent and food was horrible. The sea bass was $65 and was inedible. Told the waiter when he finally came to the table and still didn’t do anything about it. Highly recommend not choosing this restaurant

    We had a great table with a view of the water, our waitress was extremely helpful, made recomm endations, food was served hot and in a timely manner.

    There were five of us dining on a Tuesday evening. The wait staff was just ‘ok’ - she didn’t refill our water glasses until we asked, she didn’t offer more cocktails or wine, until we asked. The empty glasses were left on the table throughout dinner. One of the guests ordered steak ($58.00) and was first over-cooked, and the second try it was greatly undercooked. The chef did not know how to cook a steak. Additionally, there were very limited side dishes, and they surely did not compliment the entree, This would all have been easily over-looked at a moderately priced restaurant, but this was pretty darn expensive.

    Marina Jack's dining room provides a quiet venue for an enjoyable evening of conversation. There are beautiful views of the marina and Sarasota Bay. The food was very good, and the service excellent.
