   We've been here before, so I knew what to expect but today was a poor experience, unfortunately. We were there for Mother's Day, celebrating 3 mom's, including myself with our husbands and 3 children. As soon as we arrived to check in, it felt very warm inside. I asked a staff member about it and they confirmed that their AC was broken!!! Why were we not notified ahead of time so I could have made other dinner arrangements?? The restaurant has my contact info and even required a credit card to hold the reservation. It was very unpleasant eating a fancy dinner in a hot restaurant 😐 Not even a discount or comp for a future visit, not a visit from a manager on duty... nothing to make up for this. For a restaurants AC not to be working is really bad, especially living in FL and we had an elderly woman with us. To not be notified in advance is poor customer service. Very disappointed in our visit this evening.

   When I booked, I clicked on the menu, and it was ala cart. I have been to Mother's Day brunch there many times before. I had 2 children ages 6 and 8. They sat us and gave us plastic bright orange Waterpark wrist bands for the buffet. We said that we wanted the ala cart menu. They told us the whole restaurant was buffet. What choice did we have? The buffet was pretty looking, but the foods were cheap stuff like pasta, salad bar, mashed potatoes, sysco scrambled eggs. They had a carving station, some cheese, and plated cake. But nothing was all that good. The kids got 1 piece of French toast, some fruit, and 1 piece of bacon. When the bills came, it was $435. There were 5 of us. But $40 for each child. $80 for each adult. The drinks were fair priced. But overall, it was not worth the price and not great. It was truly a bummer because we enjoyed our prior brunches there.

   Thanks for visiting us, Kristy. We're sorry to hear that your recent visit did not meet your expectations. When booking your reservation, your email confirmation indicated that it is a buffet. We strive to provide a wide variety of dishes that cater to all tastes, and there were many options, including a seafood display, two carving stations, antipasto display in addition to the items that you listed. The other menu option for brunch would have been the Blue Sunshine Patio menu on the main level. We appreciate your feedback.    This is my favorite restaurant in Sarasota for the past 20 years. Excellent, food , service, scenery and Atmosphere. The memories along are worth the cost no mater what the price.

   Service was excellent; quality of the food was outstanding. We look forward to dining here each year while in Sarasota. An excellent treat during our annual Lido Beach vacation.

   I get that the venue should come at a premium, but the cost and quality of the food is a little ridiculous. The dining room is in desperate need of updating.

   Steak was overcooked and had to send it back. Also under seasoned. Salmon was also overcooked. Too expensive for the quality

   We dined in upstairs dining room. Very beautiful and view fantastic. We all hate the specials and they were fabulous!!! Really enjoyed ourselves. Little pricey but we did pick the very best to eat! And it did not disappoint!! Will be back.

   We had such a great experience! Elizabeth, the hostess, treated us like family from the moment we walked in. Sergio, our server, did an awesome job taking care of us, and the food was fantastic. Can’t wait for our next trip to Sarasota so we can come back!

    Great location with a view. A Sarasota landmark. Food was good, but not excellent and prices were higher than expected.
