My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary, food was amazing, they treated us to a free appetizer and dessert, and two shots that were delicious! Best service we’ve ever had!

When we arrived at the restaurant, we were quite surprised because we were there a year prior for lunch. It was a bit of a déjà vu for me. They recently changed their name, and when I booked my reservation, I never made the connection. First, let me say the interior of the restaurant is incredible— it’s magical, and stunning. We opted to eat outside, since we were celebrating a birthday, and wanted more privacy. The patio is nice, because it’s fully covered with open sides so you can get fresh air—not quite the atmosphere of the inside, but very nice and pleasant. For brunch, our group ordered breakfast burritos, classic guacamole, chorizo and eggs, and Marila’s famous corn pancakes. Those who ordered the breakfast burritos said it was good, but the chorizo and eggs, and corn pancakes were the highlight, the pancakes were delectable. The balance between sweet and savory was very nice. I also ordered a pineapple mule… scrumptious. Our service was very good. Kimberly was very attentive, friendly, and very informative. We really appreciated her and the team. All in all, I definitely would recommend Marila’s. As I said, I’ve only been here for brunch and lunch, and I’m sure dinner experiences are equal, if not better than the experiences I’ve had.

The servings are not huge, but they are plenty and are very tasty. The outside was nice and the service was great. I like that they don’t tack on a fee or add a 20% tip like some other local Mexican restaurants.

We used to come here when it was just Puesto and it has most of the same things on this menu (accept the churros which was disappointing) but this menu has a lot more offerings. More plates rather than just tacos. The tacos are still as good as ever and the Maggies are excellent and well priced considering the top shelf alcohol. I ordered the mango Maggie with the hope that it wouldn't be too sweet. It was not only not too sweet but a great blend of flavor between the mango flavor with a hint of the true margarita flavor and the tequila as the star. My only negative us the price of the single tacos @ $9 each, however the care in the building of these tacos does not dissapoint and the flavor is incredible..plus they give you plenty of chips and salsa. I ordered the mushroom which is always a must have and the short rib taco which is a melt in your mouth flavor explosion that I liked so much I ordered 2 to go for lunch the next day. For 2 of us factoring in 4+ (ehem) drinks, and tacos to go, was about $130.

The Fajitas Fundido are exactly what you would think they are. We tried the ribeye and chicken al pastor. They come in a skillet on a bed of melty cheese. Excellent!

We sat outside and it was peaceful and comfortable. The taco deal on Tuesdays is truly a deal. Food was delicious and so are the drinks— glad they have horchata and I especially love the mushroom taco— a great non-meat option.

Good food, great music and great service! Mexican candy shot was sweet and spicy. I wasn't a fan of the IPA but it wasn't bad, it just didn't think it was "hoppy" enough for my preference. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Food was great! The margaritas were a great size for the price. Also, I wasn’t sure what to expect with the new name but Marila’s still had the Puesto feel, only with a twist here and there. I was very happy to still see the fresh blue corn tortillas. We’ll definitely keep going!

Service slow. Chilaquiles for brunch were bad, one over cooked egg, the avocado was missing, we told the server, and, nothing was done. Way too many tortillas in the meal. We like to support our community, and, will give Marilas another try.

The good: Large salad, unlimited chips & individual salsa bowls, several options of tasty tacos, interesting coconut margarita, friendly and accommodating server. The opportunities for improvement: the watered-down bland "Cadillac" margarita (don't waste your money), the dry cilantro-flavored beans (even though I specified an allergy), the relatively few vegetarian options. Overall it was a good meal but we probably won't return.

The $18 coconut margarita was terrible. I told the waitress hoping she would take it off the bill and she didnt. The chips and salsa was bad. The only thing good thing i had was the carnita and shrimp tacos. They were delicious. The margaritas were over priced and below average. I would not go back there

The food was nice enough - got the 2 tacos with shrimp and fish. They were luke warm when I got them. 3 of us ordered drinks and 2 came in a short while and the 3rd took quite some time. We ordered guacamole for an app and got it with the main. Service was incredibly slow. We were there on a Thursday evening and it just wasn’t that busy. I’d go back, but with low expectations.

Having read a recent, favorable article about this restaurant in the OC Register, I decided to take a friend there for her birthday on 7-12-23. For starters, I thought the menu was very limited and the choices didn't sound like anything too different from any other Mexican restaurant. The prices were quite high. $24 for 2 enchilada suizas with no sides included was my pick, and my friend selected 2 tacos with 1 side for $19. In the article, the food was billed as authentic family recipes and somewhat upscale. The chips were excellent, still warm and the salsa was very good also. My enchilada suizas were served in a black skillet and were 2 tiny, tightly rolled up tortillas with very little filling. They were also stuck to the pan so the bottom layer was inedible. The verde sauce was a bit spicy and quite good. My friend's tacos were tiny also, about street taco size. We did get a birthday dessert on the house which was quite tasty. The ambience was clearly catering to the bar crowd and was very glitzy. Overall, I did not find this place to my liking and will not be returning. Next time, I will go to Solita in the the same center which is much superior to Marila's in all categories.
