   Marie Nicoles in Avalon, NJ is a great place to go out to dinner with friends. The service is flawless and friendly. The food is fabulous! My friend loves the pork chops and orders it every time he and his wife go to Marie Nicoles. I like to try new menu items each time I go; every dinner has been superb! Friday night I tried the salmon in a lemon butter sauce...delicious. I highly recommend Marie Nicoles.

   Had our anniversary dinner at Marie Nicole’s and we were not disappointed. Everything was top notch, the food, the service, the cocktails. Would recommend highly!

   My husband and I were on a mini vacation in Avalon and had dinner at Marie Nicole's. We had a reservation, but the hostess was nowhere to be seen. We waited a good 15 minutes. However, the wait was worth it!! The food was amazing, the wait staff polite and efficient. They were very accommodating with substitutions. Despite the wait, we will definitely go back!!

   The food was good, but very overpriced because it is in Avalon. Very limited menu selection. We dined in the evening and the restaurant was way too dark. We could hardly see what we were eating. The waiter was trying to joke around. At first it was amusing, but it rapidly became annoying. Especially when he pointed to the shrimp tails on my plate and asked if I wanted a container to take them home. My wife ordered a second glass of wine when she was part way through her dinner. The waiter got distracted with a large table and it wasn't brought to our table until we were both done eating. The waiter did not charge us even though he left it on the table for us, but we did not drink it. It's just the principle. We won't be back.

   I am sorry to say that on my 3rd visit to Marie Nicole’s it was not a charm. The butterflied veal chop “special” (which was offered every time I went) was tasteless. Two of my guests ordered it and both found that the veal add no taste other than the breading. I had the swordfish special which smelled and tasted fishy. My asparagus which had grill marks were apparently parboiled to a fault were mushy. The “vanilla” creme brûlée was just custard with a sugar glaze. I will definitely not bring guests there again.

   Standard fine dining offerings- no wows . Not enough seafood choices. No lobster! Pricey. New Orleans style grits meant oddly hot which did not go with the salmon and shrimp. Quiet so easy to talk.

   First time visitor. Went with a group of 6 and was able to score a late reservation. Bar was buzzing. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was excellent - attentive but not intrusive. Food was really good. Somewhat pricey but what you would expect at a better restaurant at the beach in the summer. We would absolutely go back.

    The food was very good, however, service was a problem. The waitress was very pleasant with a very long wait for dessert. We asked the owner to assist. The table behind us ordered after us and left a good while before us. 1 hour 45min. for a table of 2 is a long time. We have eaten at Marie Nicoles many times and this was our first disappointment.
