First time visiting Maria’s and the food was amazing.

The food was outstanding, as was the service.

A fun spot to meet up with friends, but very loud. Large family groups with unruly children, and a very loud Greek music band, made for a hilarious setting. Opa! The appetizers were good, but my lamb chops were tough.

The food and service was excellent. The only problem was the I was asked if this was a special occasion on open table and I said it was my wife’s birthday there was no mention of it during dinner service. That was a little disappointing.

The food was great. We were given a small tray of free antipasto if slice marinated carrots, olives & been salad served with pita. Super tasty. We ordered chicken avelemano soup & it too was super tasty! We ordered another appetizer tray with 6 spreads and served with pita. It was really tasty too however the spread with caviar was a little too fishy for my taste but I’m sure it was full of Omega-3s. After all the appetizers we were almost full so we only ordered the sardines meal for our main entree & ordered lemon potatoes. The meal was awesome! We will be back!! This place is a hidden gem! The outdoor seating was really cute!

Maria’s never disappoints! It is one of my favorite Greek restaurants. But I have to tell you, last night I had the Kokkinisto (braised beef with tomato sauce). It was exceptional! It reminded me of my Yiayia’s (Grandma’s) cooking! I had to get off the table and thank Maria in person! The dish was absolutely delicious. And the ekmek for desert, was out of this world! Thank you, Maria!

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Will go back as soon as restaurants re-open

The staff was amazing

Food was excellent. We shared 6 dip platter and a huge amount of toasted bread(amazing flavour). The dips were great...i had lamb shank with orzo. Flavorful, well prepared and the sauce was top end. Orzo was also cooked to perfection. Others has mousaka- he loved it! Chicken dish..more than my wife could eat... topped of with a lemon cake that hit the spot...tart and flavorful. Service was great. Place was crowded and loud but never bern to a greek style restaurant with the exception of Molyvos in NYC that was quiet. Strongly suggest reservations..this is a neighborhood jewel worth traveling to.....

TOO EXPENSIVE FOR THE SERVICES AND PORTIONS RENDERED.ALSO TWO ORDERS NEVER BROUGHT TO THE TABLE ...EVEN THOUGH CHARGED(IN THE BILL)

Ate here with some friends on a recommendation from another friend. The food was fresh and delicious! The ambiance was nice and the staff very friendly. The blueberry baklava with tahini ice cream is a must for dessert!

Very much enjoyed our dinner at Maria's. Large greek salad and eggplant dip appetizers were more than ample for our party of 3. All entrees very very good as well -- chicken souvlaki, spanakopita and stuffed calamari. Only negative is side order of mixed veggies was very tasteless...needed some help to not taste like a frozen mixed veg defrosted and stuck on plate. Everything else well done. Will definitely go back again.

This is probably the best Greek cuisine I have had in New York. Also, the portions are perfect and the service was excellent. I will definitely go again when I get a chance. Only downside of the meal was the dessert. The blueberry baklava was not that great. I will recommend this place to anyone who loves Greek cuisine.

I have been to Maria’s many times. The food is consistently delicious.

We have recommended to several friends. We live on Long Island but meet our daughter and family who live in Manhattan. We love how they pay attention to the kids and service is quick and friendly. Will go back many times!

You will not be disappointed with the food or service from this amazing gem in Bayside. I have visited this restaurant on three different occasions with three different groups of people and they all loved it! The food choices are quite varied and the taste is spectacular! The prices are also very decent in relation to the portions that you receive. The only thing (pre-Covid) was that the tables tend to be a little close to one another but I'm sure that isnt a problem currently. If you're looking for awesome food at very good prices then you will be extremely pleased with this magnificent establishment. Excellent choice!

Had a rsvp for 8pm, so kind of annoying waiting almost 30 minutes after the reservation and being skipped by people with similar reservation times. However, great food as always and loved it. Especially the vegetarian moussaka, which is one of my all time favorite dishes for a restaurant.

Food Excellent, Service friendly and good. Only problem was they did not look at Open Table Reservation I had made until we got there. So no table available at time of our reservation. Luckily a table of six was late, so they split it apart and sat us only 20 minutes later.

Christmas Eve dinner

Absolutely excellent! I had the best braised lamb shank I’ve ever had. This place is low key and homey and down right good. My server was great. I’m going back.

We have been to Maria's many times. We've gone for lunch and dinner.
For anyone who is new to Maria's you will not be disappointed. The food and service are fantastic.
I have a couple of tips for you.
First, if you are going on a weekend for dinner, make a reservation. If you do not, you may have to wait a while.
Second, there is street parking. However, it is a very busy area. Please check with the restaurant regarding valet and available parking. I think at some point there was valet parking. When we went on Saturday night we were directed to a nearby parking lot at no charge. I was told by a friend that this is for Friday and Saturday nights only.
I hope this helps and I really think you should go and try Maria's. You will be going back time after time like we do.

Nice Restaurant in the heart of Bayside, the human and Tomato, cucumber and feta cheese salad is a must, however the swordfish did not taste fresh, we sent it back. A bit disappointing.

The service was pleasent.

Maria the game sausages were magnificent and the greek wine suggested by our expert wait staff paired exceptionally. It is always a distinct pleasure and treat to dine thanks to your culinary talents and family friendly service. Thank you.

Our entire experience at Maria’s was delightful. Our reservation was honored promptly. Service was outstanding and the food, from appetizers to soup to entrees, was exceptional. The fried calamari was perfectly prepared. The chicken lemon soup was tasty without being salty. The grilled shrimp with steamed vegetables was a big hit with my wife. I had the swordfish souvlaki and it was beyond delicious. My wife and I will definitely be returning frequently. Well done.
