Great Ambiance and food was decent. The steak was great, Cooked perfectly. Beautiful mother’s day setting. Worth the $
As always, we felt to welcomed and attended. The food was excellent ~ so flavorful, and prepared to perfection. Great menu with a lot of tasty selections!
As usual with our dining experience here, we were greeted and welcomed by name. The wait staff was so attentive and patient as we visited before ordering. The food was delicious and the servers so polite and courteous.
MARI is one of my favourite restaurants . The Manager was so nice and put a special order FILET MIGNON in just for me . It was so delicous that I came back the following day for lunch for the same dish. The management went above and beyond to make their guests happy, sincerely Elke Jeinsen
Excellent meal, attentive service - we really enjoyed Mari
We love the menu, kind courteous staff, and beautiful decor. The Bento Boxes were fabulous! We have become regulars here. Never disappointed!
Our server was very attentive. Food is excellent with a touch of international flavor. We had the NYE dinner there and the set dinner had a great price, especially for the quality of food and surrounding. If you are looking for a hip, scene environment, this is not for you. If you want a nice quiet dinner, quiet enough you can talk without yelling this is for you.
The view to the garden is pleasant and i bet its nice to brunch outside during the day.
Christmas dinner was a fixed menu but food was very good and staff very friendly. For a hotel restaurant st Christmas the price was very reasonable. I would eat there again...
We always thoroughly enjoy our dining here! The food is always fresh and tasty ~ great flavors and choices!
Had an amazing thanksgiving dinner !!! Service was amazing and the piano music was perfect for our dinner. Beautiful restaurant and definitely would comehere again
Had out of town guests for dinner and the food plus service was outstanding!
Good food and good service. The dishes were well prepared and tasty. The place was not too crowded and the high ceiling keeps the place relatively quiet.
My friend had a terrific Moroccan beef dish--flavorful, visually arresting and filling. I, on the other hand, had a fish dish (not the salmon) that our waiter highly recommended. It was tasteless, and though the serving was small, I couldn't finish it because . . . why? It came with what tasted like frozen chopped Birds Eye spinach from my childhood--the one that kept me sitting at an empty dinner table until I cleaned my plate . . . Mari is disappointing because it is so promising.
Service was excellent. Food is pretty good, though a bit pricey, as to be expected for this area.
You would never think to order Baby Back Ribs in a hotel restaurant but that would be a big mistake on your part. They are just one of the many new items on the recently revamped menu. This is the perfect place when to go when conducting business in Century City. One of the few restaurants around where you can get a traditional Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail but with a Tangy Sauce you won't soon forget.
All the DineLA stuff is on their regular menu (except amberjack, but they have something similiar). The amberjack was good, with a meyer lemon aioli and thinly shaved chilies.
The Katsu dish - the katsu itself was okay, but the "garlic" rice was (IMO) ruined by the sweet sauce they put in it. The slaw was just fine.
The lime tart was good, and I took home a pinakbet, which was also quite good (from an experts opinion :)
5:30 reservations, not a soul in the place, but couldn’t get our waiter’s attention if our lives depended on it.
Father’s Day brunch. No Hollandaise sauce for the Eggs Benedict and the eggs were over cooked. Service was good.
This place knows how to do salmon. The salmon Cobb and the salmon in the bento box are my go-to lunch when in Century City. I've turned a lot of people on to the salmon Cobb and they always thank me for it. It can get busy so I suggest reservations but you can often get in last minute. Validation cuts parking down to $10 so don't forget to validate.
I was a guest (a regular guest with the highest status) at the InterContinental Hotel in Century City, where Marí is housed, our server was the absolute worst, he “assumed” that the one man in our party of 4 was the one he needed to catered to the most, I arranged this reservation, I visit this hotel often, I spend good money and I was going to take of the bill...I am also a woman. He made my dining experience one of the worst I’ve ever had and his tip reflected that.
Server was great. Seated immediately. Very pleasant atmosphere and people. Great for business conversation. No overpowering conversations or food aromas. Very clean establishment.
Great service. Great food. Will definitely be back.
Excellent food quality, but the service was a bit slow today. I’ll return, nonetheless.
Excellent food and service. Highly recommended
While the food was great, the service was off on every level. From the fact that we sat and ordered beverages, and they came to take our order every 3 minutes (after we told them we wanted some time - and the joint was virtually empty, so they didn't need the table), to them dropping off the check before we ordered coffee and dessert. Given that we were the only table outside, I don't' know why they were rushing us through. Food was good. We ordered dessert that was panna cotta with sorbet, and had to remind server to bring sorbet.
No hostess at front desk and my guest and I -- who I had not met -- were seated on opposite sides of restaurant. Service was lackluster.
I usually come here because it is relatively empty and very conveniently located. The food is good. The service is quite slow for how few people are in the restaurant. The restaurant looks like a New York nightclub. I wish it were a casual restaurant with a broader menu. I feel that they have missed the mark with what the neighborhood needs.
We were staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and when we saw Sunday Brunch we thought it would be a great idea. So we made a reservation for 11am. We arrived a little early so we waited at the Copper Lounge adjacent to the restaurant. Well before I start, I want to say that the team at the Intercontinental was fabulous, but the team at the restaurant was lost and we apparently went through three waiters, yet none of them told us about changes nor ever asked if we needed anything.
We sat down with a drink from the bar, then discovered that the buffet ended at 11am, so we had to go ala carte. Then we ordered two drinks. Our food arrived and I guess our waiter went on a break, (no butter for the toast and no drinks). We waited patiently for about 20 minutes, we were almost finished with brunch when we finally found a waiter and asked about our waiter and our drinks... "he went on break, I'm taking care of you, let me check on your drinks" she said and never came back. another 5~10 minutes go by and a third waiter came over with our check...still no cocktails....we finally got our cocktails from waitress #2 and took them to go. Very frustrating.
They were very apologetic and the did not charge us for the drinks. Still what is brunch without some drinks...had we had a waiter assigned to pay attention to us, we would have ordered several drinks, they have a great cocktail list, but alas, one free drink to go.
It is a shame, when a beautiful place with such great service, great bar (Copper Lounge) has a restaurant that just forgets about it's customers. Next time we'll go somewhere else for brunch.
We arrived just when the restaurant to his opening for dinner service. The staff was on point and helpful however there was nothing memorable about the experience. My girlfriend and I have decided not to revisit only because the InterContinental brand raises the bar of expectations which went unfulfilled. The Beef Cheek was quite enjoyable yet the accoutrement lacked any imagination or statement. It felt like sweet potatoes and that we could have gotten from the supermarket on our own in a can.
Starting with a drink in the Copper lounge followed by being greeted by Dion the maître d' the entire experience is amazing. If you get to pick your waiter try to get Amir Who is knowledgeable personable and a delight to be with. The food was amazing the tomato melon snd burrata salad delicious. The shrimp and lobster ravioli with superb. every aspect of the dinner was wonderful.
The decor was pretty, in a very simplistic way. The service was very good for the most part, although we "lost" our server at one point. (perhaps he was delivering a room service order?) We were there on the early side of a Tuesday night. The restaurant wasn't very busy at all, and by the time we were finished I think our server was the only one there. The food was good, but not exceptional for the price. The desserts, however, were not so good. Those we ordered were just okay; and the little cake they brought for my friend's birthday.. it looked lovely. But when we tasted it, there was some sort of liquid soaked into a layer of the cake that was so salty, it was salty to the point of being extremely bitter. I couldn't keep the bite in my mouth. It wasn't very noisy, but then there weren't that many people there. I suspect if the restaurant were close to full, it would be very noisy. All in all, it was a pleasant meal with good service in nice surroundings. However, with all the wonderful places to eat in Los Angeles, (for the same or less money), I don't plan to go back here.
Grest place to dine after enjoying the beautiful spa in the hotel complete with a heated toilet. I'd make a good personal day - massage, pool and dinner.
Very low options for lunch menu bad service it tasted like cheap hotel food. Very expensive
We stopped here for lunch before going up to the Spa. Had some excellent cocktails and then had the Japanese steak salad, highly recommended. Skirt steak with arugula, mushrooms and asparagus, it was great.
Mediocre. Food was OK, the service was very slow. We chose the venue because I was staying there. In retrospect, we would have done better at one of the other restaurants in the area.
Neighbourhood gem. Wonderful service, great food, beautiful presentation. Warm personal host, waiters & servers. Had a great evening, thank you!
We selected Mari for our New Year's eve dinner as the menu, ambiance, rating and price appeared to be inline with the experience we were looking for. Once we entered, the dining room looked just like the pictures and the staff was warm and welcoming to get us seated and order drinks. I was informed prior to the dinner that it would be a pre-fixe menu that offered a nice variety of options. I loved the poached pears with blue cheese and other reviews of the potato soup and chicory salad were very positive. For the entree I chose the prawns which was delicious and my other guests selected the filet mignon which received mixed reviews due to the accuracy of the meat temperature and the fairly typical hotel event preparation. Given this limited selection I was a little surprised at the $75pp cost which seemed to be driven by the date vs. the menu. The dinning room was very quiet which worked out well for our group, but considering the limited number of diners, the dinner service was slow.
The hotel's previous dining room, called Park Grill, was an attractive, warmly inviting space. The revamped venue, now called Mari, is cold and ugly, very off-putting. My guests agreed. I previously dined there once a week but now I mainly order their food to take out. What a shame to lose the best spot in the neighborhood.
The outdoor dining is in a beautiful setting.
