The service was extremely slow, waited over 30 minutes for our lunch, and when it arrived first, it was wrong. The second time it came out, the side dish of salad had been forgotten and I had to ask for it. Nice place but need to improve on service and knowledge of what is served with each dish.

The food was very reasonably priced and good pub fare. It was a Saturday evening and the bar was buzzing.The service was great and the only slight negative element was our table was positioned right in the bar area which would not be ideal if you are looking for a quiet intimate experience. It was fine for us.
All in all, good experience and would recommend.

My favourite place in Belfast! I’ve been in multiple times for drinks but never to eat, so booked a table for my birthday meal. A busy night in Belfast but very attentive staff, great food and a buzzing atmosphere. Music was loud but we were still able to hold a conversation.

I have to say the service was outstanding but I felt pretty let down with the quality of food. Presentation of the food was very good but for the price I didn't think it was restraunt standard more of a pub grub. Cocktails were yummy by the way 👍🤪

We had a lovely friendly welcome from our server who remained with us throughout the afternoon. Any staff we spoke with were all very friendly and service was excellent so much so we ensured our allocated server received a good tip from us as it was truly deserved.

From online photos my expectations of decor /ambience were higher but that was my error. I expected an upmarket Winebar vibe and it isn’t it’s a cozy, friendly get together place for friends that had a lovely buzz for a Sat afternoon. Food was fine for a quick lunch and drinks catchup but it wouldn’t be your main reason for going there. Nothing at all wrong with any of the dishes we had it just wasn’t anything to blow you away. We would most definitely return.

The staff also very politely gave us plenty of notice that our table was required for another reservation - we were delighted when they very kindly told us we no longer had to move to the main bar as they were able to accommodate the next booking on another table. It’s little things like that customers appreciate and just another reason why we’ll return.

This wee place is fabulous, the food is so reasonable and tastes fantastic, that staff are a delight, it’s going to be my new local.

I am gluten free and the waitress was amazing at helping out with my dietary requirements. I got the duck wings and fries, they were to die for. So amazing. There wasn't much people i but the place still seemed buzzing with a good atmosphere

Service was excellent. The food was ok, just too spicy for me. I had the curry and my husband had flatbread, both too spicy.

It was soo noisy at 6pm. They had a singer and a guitarist on so so loud. When she took a break it was so much better. But we literally could only do one drink cos she was so loud and piercing.

Just absolutely class. Music was a little loud (to be fair, it's a bar) and your card machine needs a little work. Otherwise I really couldn't honestly say a bad thing about this place- look forward to coming again.

Lovely setting, nice food, relaxed atmosphere and efficient waiting staff. Music could have been turned down just a little though. But nice place to go!

Overall great experience. It was a bit dark. Wasn’t sure if it was a bar or a restaurant. Food was good and our servers were lovely.

Vintage, Mondern, Classy, not what you expect from the outside. Its gorgeous, your very own funky boutique. Lovely touches with the table reservation. Staff so friendly, Food delicious and drink selection is fabulous. Not rushed to order. Good for pre dinner drinks, post dinner drinks or a full evening. Perfect for couples or groups. Margot has the Magic

Food and service were excellent.
Music was too loud for a 6.45 table - understandable if it was later on in the evening.
Overall however, a very positive experience.

I loved the bar - great vibe and music. décor was great, staff and drinks very good. but badly let down by the food. The steak sandwich was so underwhelming - dry and bland and the menu was very limited

This place is a little gem!..The atmosphere is relaxing. The cocktails are gorgeous and the food is amazing. The staff are the friendliest we've ever come across. We definitely will be back x

Yes i would it is a lovely place and has a great vibe about it . My only complaint was the scallops that we had were really greasy and more batter than potato . I enjoyed the scampi and really decent portion size for small plates.

We had a table booked for lunch on Saturday & while we appreciated the ambience of Margot the service was very disappointing. We were given food menus & taken to our table where we sat for approximately 15/20mins before a staff member came to take our food order, we hadn't been asked what our drinks order was at the this stage. We ordered our food & two glasses of wine at the same time. We had ordered four small plates including bread, two of the small plates were brought to our table very quickly but the other two weren't brought out for another 15/20 mins ~ the bread was included in the latter so we couldn't understand why the hot food had arrived before it as the bread required no cooking. Our wine did not arrive until approximately 10mins after the first small plates were brought out. We had been looking forward to our visit to Margot as we had heard good things about it so we were really disappointed by the service. Margot was approximately one third full so it wasn't a case of the staff being super busy as they appeared to be standing around chatting. Also we could understand having to wait for drinks if we had ordered cocktails as they can take time to prepare, but two glasses of wine take minimal effort. I really couldn't recommend Margot as a result of our experience. On the plus side our waitress was very friendly & pleasant.

I was excited to try Margot after seeing the pictures on facebook. I found the staff very nice polite and friendly. The food was top notch , one of the best meals over ever had. The only downside was the atmosphere, it was more like a nightclub it was noisy and extremely busy. A few people tried to sit on the sofa squeezed in to us to drink while we were trying to have a romantic meal for our anniversary. We also had to shout at each other to hear so it did kill the mood ! I think maybe doing should be put at the booths at the back so it’s more secluded, paying near 80.00 bill for us to not be able to hear each other and nearly have a drunk woman sit on your lap isn’t my idea of fun! However I would come back simply for the food and the staff .
