Great lunch with splendid service from James. Just very kind and made us feel so appreciated. Awesome job!
Been here several times and everything on the menu is fabulous
30h Birthday for my husband. Everything was wonderful!
We went for a birthday brunch on Sunday. The food was really good and quite reasonable for the quality and neighborhood. The live jazz band made my birthday a real treat and it was an unexpected bonus to a happy day!
Requested seats by the window and was seated in the dead center of the restaurant.
Absolutely delicious branzino and steak dinners. We loved them and raved about each entre which we shared.
Once again outstanding flavorful food and superb service. Have now had three sets of friends come with us and all have been delighted
Es la peor sopa de cebolla, FRENCH ONION SOUP, que me han servido en mi vida. Fue rechazada por su mal sabor. No se de donde sacaron una estrella Michelin
Overall everything was okay. Not the best and definitely not the worst. Service was fine, nothing outstanding, menu was fine. We had the short rib and skirt steak. Reason for 3 stars was that both were so unbelievably salty — way over seasoned. Spent the next few hours drinking water non stop to wash out the thirst from all the salt. I’m glad I tried it but don’t think we’d return, there’s better French spots in the city. Overall just okay.
Such a jewel and the food.....oh my the food!!!!
I had a party of four and we had a great time at the restaurant. The staffing was superb and knowledgeable. Cheers
Walked by from the street and just walked in and what a lovely surprise. Such a nice place and I may go back tonight!
Went there with some friends for dinner. They were happy with what they ordered (fish, duck) but I went there specifically for the bouillabaisse and was disappointed. There was some overcooked bits of seafood in broth instead of fish and shells, and the croutons with aioli were these awful, spongy, deep fried things reminiscent of Chinese congee doughnuts, a total fail. Would I recommend? Yes, just don’t order the bouillabaisse!
Amazing food and service
Food was great but service was terrible. It’s a shame as I would love to return for the food but won’t be because of the poor service. Huge miss for a restaurant this nice in a competitive market.
Thank you for dining with us and for providing feedback. I'm sincerely sorry that you experienced such poor service. We pride ourselves in delivering excellent service and it is disappointing to know that we missed our mark. We would love the opportunity to make it up to you. If we are fortunate enough to have you dine with us again please let us know. Kind regards, Jose C Gonzalez & the Margeaux team General Manager
Fabulous dinner. The fresh hot bread and butter is scrumptious. Sea bass was beautifully prepared. Flaming baked Alaska was a very special end to a delicious meal.
The service, impeccable, tried several new wines, the tartare great, the Pate, wonderful, the Steak Fritte was terrible, we understand this cut of meat is never the most tender but this was inedible, too tough to chew, maybe a bad cut as it was "Grissily" ? SP.
None the less an enjoyable evening,
Service was slow but worsened as the evening progressed. Desert was over 35 minutes and we canceled and paid and left. Not auspicious for such an upscale venue.
Hello Steven, Thank you for dining with us and for providing the feedback. Our sincere apologies for the slow service. That is not the kind of experience that we want our guests to have. We would love to invite you back and to have the opportunity to make it up to you. Please contact us on your next visit. Kind regards, Jose C Gonzalez and the Margeaux team General Manager
Loved the ambience. Food was delicious. Service was good though a bit slow.
We went to Margeaux Brasserie for a birthday and had an outstanding experience. The food was excellent, the service was unparalleled and no small detail was overlooked. There was a hand written birthday letter from the restaurant waiting at our table when we sat down. The staff was very attentive to everything we needed without being overbearing. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for an incredible dining experience.
Limited choices, dessert of stale cream puffs. Definitely not fresh!
The best place to have a quiet dinner. The food was so delicious and the service was super great! There were so many good selections on menu. This is the place to go almost every week. I just love how the staff was truly remarkable in attending to you. The best French brassiere .
Fab birthday breakfast!!
We all loved the inventiveness of the chef in all of the amazing food we ordered! The sides are great as starters and the lobster gnocchi was a wonderful surprise for everyone at our table! Steaks are stellar, ALWAYS order the potatoes and Brussel sprouts- clever list of cocktails, nice wine selection and the room is beautiful perched above the hustle and bustle of Walton and Rush.
We were here for a celebration. I was really looking forward to the cheese trolley. Wyndham had a superlative one for a while, but alas, no more. The selection was highly "curated," but there were some lovely choices. However, the accoutrements were less than exciting or matched to the cheese, and for the price that was annoying; however, the waiter went to the kitchen and returned with a variety of lovely compliments, so it worked out. The shrimp cocktail was plentiful and well presented. No horseradish, though. The steak was as it should be--nothing too great there, but the chicken and succotash was really good, and that's saying a lot since I am not a big succotash fan. Just goes to show, put enough butter, broth, and herbs on anything, and it will be good. Lovely torte dessert was scrumptious! Elegant surroundings, but there were large families with small children and an infant at neighboring table after 8 p.m. While the kids were well tended, the family's activities and conversation carried over our own conversation. Maybe more strategic seating? Too pricey not to have (near) perfection. But overall, lovely and good for a celebration.
Outstanding service, well paced meal, wonderful wine. Celebrated birthday and they took well care of a special occasion. Thank you!
The place and food were great and the service was over the top wonderful.
My visit here was not what I was expecting...
There were 2 tables in the section we were at that were extremely loud, like the kind of noise where you are trying to have a conversation with the person across from you but it's hard to even hear them b/c other tables are so loud. So you stop and wait for it to die down before asking them to repeat themselves.
Food took a very long time to come out, it was just me and my boyfriend and we did not order a lot at all, and there were maybe a total of 7-8 tables, not a full house. Food did not wow me or make me want to revisit, at least I tried to know.
The food is outstanding as well as the service!
We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your expereince with us! Merci, Margeaux Brasserie Team
Kelly our server was incredible!
Made the evening
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. Alex, my server, always remembers me, and he does an incredible job. Food, service & ambiance are incredible!!
We are thrilled to hear that we rank amongst your favorite restaurants in such a competitive city for tasty & inventive food. Alex is pleased to hear that he is taking such great care of you during your visits & looks forward to more opportunities in the future. Merci, Margeaux Brasserie Team
Ambiance and food were outstanding. Duck and the lobster pot pie were perfect. The service was a step above restaurants of this caliber. Jack was our waiter and he was great. Thx!!!
Jack is so thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. We always like to think of the Micheal Mina's Lobster Pot Pie as a crowd favorite, so thank you for sharing such great feedback with us! Merci, Margeaux Brasserie Team p.s. Happy Anniversary again!
This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. Such a gem. Everything from the service, wine and food is consistently outstanding.
Christy, Thanks for the awesome feedback. We look forward to seeing you again soon for another outstanding experience! Merci, Margeaux Brasserie Team
Quiet ambiance for late lunch.. Sitting in the bar area is great
So glad we could have you for lunch! The music & intimate atmosphere can we such a great way to enjoy that late Friday afternoon lunch...or mid-week stress-reliever. Merci, Margeaux Brasserie Team
Was there for lunch with a friend. Lovely restaurant. Service slow and inattentive and don’t understand why since restaurant was fairly empty. Had turkey club and chicken paillard salad. Both were only fair. With so many other options around this hotel I will not return for lunch again.
I don’t understand how can you go to restaurant and you love everything about it
Hello Maggie, Thank you for dining with us. I'm so sorry that you had such a poor time while dining with us. We hope to have the opportunity to show you a better dining experience in the future. Please contact us on your next visit and we will be sure to take special care of you. Kind regards, Jose C Gonzalez and the Margeaux team General Manager
Excellent food, will come back!
Quite possibly the best meal / dining experience I’ve ever had. Absolutely loved every part of it.
This is my third time dining at Margeaux Basserie. I keep coming back because the experiences were consistent. I always received good services and good food. I like the vibe of the dining room. Elegant and graceful. Not too fancy. Not too trendy. I am a lone diner. The place and the people make me feel comfortable. This time I had crab cake and salmon Wellington. The puree that goes with the crab cake is a beautiful elevation of plain old red chili mayonnaise. The salmon was perfectly cooked and not fishy at all. Very good ingredient. The place is ideal for both casual dining and special occasion.
Thank you so much for your lovely words. A classic is certainly thus for a reason, but we still enjoy bring a new flare to them. We are glad to hear that our touch on the crab cake was a winner! We look forward to seeing you again soon, to show case some of our new dishes that we will be starting to showcasing on our menus in the next month. Merci, Margeaux Brasserie Team
Some food excellent, other poor. Excellent filet. Duck bland and a bit tough. Endive and crab starter terrific. Butter lettuce salad dull. Lobster gnocchi good. Wine by glass list very limited. Service terrific. With some tightening up, could be a great restaurant.
