Loved the service, food and excellent COVID proticols
Everything was perfect from the food to the service.
We celebrated 2 birthdays. Liz did a great job making us feel special as it was our first time trying the brunch at Margaux. Will definitely be coming back!
Beautiful decor and views of the river. Safety measures in place. Food was excellent.
My husband and I had not been back to the Marriott since Six One Six. This was our first experience dining at Margaux. Atmosphere was fine, service very good and food nothing to write home about. Menu choices were more limited than suggested by the menu on Open table. My husband had the short ribs and I had the Salmon En Croute entree. My husband's portion was small mine was more ample. My salmon dish seemed heavy with the mushroom and pastry and would not order this again. Food was ok and nothing was presented that would make me want to return. No specials offered other than what was on the menu. Caesar salad was ok, too many croutons and lacking in taste.
I can appreciate how difficult the restaurant business is since the Pandemic and hope that they continue to make there way back to speed. I would suggest more fresh ingredients and lighter versions of entrees. For instance. I fresh grilled salmon with a light sauce/local/seasonal vegetable. I wish you well in the ongoing development of your new restaurant!
Excellent and attentive service!
Such a nice surprise in a hotel restaurant! Food and service were great.
Every bite was delicious and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to go back!
The new Margaux which replaced an earlier semi French restaurant has luxe prices and a disappointing delivery. The service was fine by a lovely young lady, but the caesar salad was what you would get at an Olive Garden, and the filet mignon was overdone on the crust and the quality of the meat for the price point was lacking. Overall one would be better off going to Ruth's Chris. the Chop House or the New Hotel Mertens.
Wonderful meal! Food was excellent! Service was even better!
It was ok,they knew we had birthday, but never did anything.. our waiter was slow, and not really friendly, overall nothing special
Easy to make reservations; was seated promptly; excellent waitress who was very attentive; food was delicious; loved the decor and ambiance; will definitely go back.
Alex, Thank you for your kind words! I look forward to seeing you again soon! All the best, Elle Wadel Margaux General Manager
I was disappointed in my fillet. For the price I paid for it, I was surprised to find it lacking in taste and tenderness. Otherwise, I enjoyed my experience.
It was striking how minimally staffed was the restaurant. with only one wait person, the bartender, receptionist, and almost anyone else all chipped in. I should say that the waitress was terrific, under trying circumstances. but it all seemed rather frantic.
My boyfriend and I had a reservation at Margaux for our anniversary. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a special night. Wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere, and great food. I recommend very much!
Thank you for joining us, I am so pleased to hear you had a memorable anniversary dinner! Hope to see you again soon! Elle Wadel Margaux General Manager
Easter brunch with our son.
The first time we were there everything was phenomenal. This time was very unfortunate. Service was just ok. Our server flipped off one of the chefs in the kitchen. Not horrible but not what we want to see during a business dinner. Food was okay, steaks were over cooked by quite a bit. Experience was good but there are many other places you could go and get a better experience for the money.
The dome was a perfect location to enjoy the views and a private setting. French onion soup was fantastic.
Always a great upper-end experience. Great service. Great food.
Delicious! We will definitely be going back!
Kathryn our server was incredible staff were friendly and helpful. We were surprised river view table couldn’t see grand river with high backed seating too tall to appreciate the superlative location overlooking blue bridge and water. Meat a bit fatty but flavorful
Started out at the host stand, and had to wait for the hostess to figure out the togo order mess up in front of us- wasn't addressed for quite some time...
Service was sub-par at best, server's knowledge was terrible.
Both of our Soup's came out cold.
When it came time to cash out, our server misplaced one of our CC's and then hardcore rolled her eyes when we inquired about validated parking,
Staff was professional and polite. The food was incredible and the atmosphere was calm and its such a gorgeous restaurant.
New favorite place! I love the colors inside, the cheese board was amazing.
Always exceptional! We have been going since the boys were small and it has not disappointed us yet. After more than 10 years, still our go-to place. Emma, out server was great
Great experience. Can’t wait until the menu expands post Covid.
Belated anniversary dinner
Excellent food, in particular the half-chicken. Wonderful ambiance and professional, attentive staff.
Great food and service. An improvement over what 616 used to be. The table we were seated at was very drafty but overall had a nice meal.
In GR for business. I gave it try and I loved it. Ratio between price and quality ( service, food , drinks and environment) unbeatable. First dinner : mussels, salmon , on drink ( Cherry Hot Toddy ) and coffee. Second dinner : tartare, short rib , one flut of champagne and coffee. Third dinner : filet au poivre, two drinks ( Holiday Margarita), desert and coffee.
Excellent place, for everything !
Please read my other review. Excellent place. 3 dinners in a row. Top top top
Amazing service, food and very accommodating. Will definitely go again.
Everything was awesome. Our waitress Liz was awesome. Never expected the anniversary celebration they did for us. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you all.
Our family travels alot (well used to) and have eaten at many fine dining restaurants. This was probably one of the best meals we've ever had. This restaurant was decorated beautifully and the atmosphere was so friendly and relaxed. Our server was so helpful and kind. Every dish brought out was unique and so delicious. Highly recommend the flatbread appetizer and the Cheesecake was to die for both in presentation and taste. We had a really great evening here. Our hotel stay was great as well. Highly recommend!
The service from the staff was excellent. The food was very good and the restaurant is very calm and nice. We are definitely going back soon. It is perfect for special occasions.
Our food was absolutely outstanding! My disappoint comes from the fact that nobody said happy birthday to my boyfriend until we were brought our check. I called ahead and made sure his birthday was noted on the reservation. We went to San Chez earlier in the day for brunch and every single person said happy birthday to him, it just made the whole experience so much more special and it really put a smile on his face. I was disappointed it was an afterthought here, but again absolutely outstanding food and lovely waitress (super funny great personality).
Experience was good but food very average for what is supposed to be a very good restaurant
Excellent breakfast from someone that doesn't really eat breakfast
Maybe we were too excited to start eating out again...went for a Friday night dinner. Was so looking forward to trying the tarte flambé and mussels. The mussels were EXCEPTIONAL, but we found the tarte to be overly greasy. We also had the French onion soup and the short rib bourguignon and while both were flavorful they were tepid at best so it made it a little disappointing. Service was outstanding and were extremely pleased with our servers. We will probably go back but only if our favorites are booked.
Everything was amazing! Small menu but what they have they do very well. Server was kind and attentive. No complaints.
Our server Allison was very rude.
