Great food, great experience. Will return for sure.
Good would prefer different music on a Sunday morning instead of the pulsating bar music maybe some smooth jazz
This is a lovely restaurant, wonderful service. the waitress went above and beyond - it was out anniversary, and they presented us with a lovely dessert. The food was absolutely delicious as was the wine. Nice atmosphere. Probably not for kiddos, good place for a fancy occasion.
It was ok, the view is Beautiful, other than that, the seafood tower was over priced, our server Katheren was Great.
We waited over 25 minutes for our first round of drinks. Over 10 minutes for our 2nd round. Water glasses were routinely empty.
Food was below average. The quality of the fillet was far below that of the NY Strip.
Truffle fries and creme brulee were spot on.
While the breakfast buffet was tasty, the kitchen did not pay attention when various dishes ran out. People were often asking for waffles and they would make just a few, then leave. This was pretty disappointing for an expensive brunch.
The service was so so and our food was not cooked properly. We received a well done steak that was supposed to be medium rare. They recooked it but it was still too done and they never even asked us to cut into our steaks when delivered. Mediocre overall.
Had a wonderful time and some delicious cocktails to celebrate a birthday! They even brought out a complimentary dessert
The service was fantastic. The ambiance was ok, not stellar but ok. I really thought there would more authentic French menu offerings than there were.
Chris mixing drinks behind the bar for a the best! The rest of the staff was fantastic and made every effort to make our evening wonderful.
Alexis was a fantastic server, but everyone who was working was very kind and welcoming from the beginning to the end.
Service was great the small intimate nature is nice but we were seated right next to the door with staff going in and out all night , seafood tower was mediocre for the price . Our server was top notch and bartender made perfectly crafted drinks , food needs to step up to the level of servers and bartenders
Server went above and beyond to acknowledge my fiancé’s birthday. Great dinner.
Margaux did a wonderful job of not only accommodating a three generation celebration of our anniversary and three birthdays, but they went the "extra mile" to make it a memorable event for all of us. Highly recommended.
Perfect in every way!
Awesome food. Great service very attentive. Family style breakfast is way to go.
Ambiance and service was great. Portions are smaller but to be expected at an upscale French restaurant. The desert was amazing.
It was all perfect. We were nicely greeted, parking validated and seated. Had a charming server, Katie. Very sweet. Wine was excellent, Quilt Cabernet. Shared the steak tartare. Three of us had the crisp Caesar salad and one had the onion soup. The trouts and filet were delicious. All four meals were served piping hot. We shared a chocolate dessert. It was a great experience all the way around.
The food and drinks were amazing!!! Quite a small menu!!!
There is no real ambience to speak of. It is very sterile. No intimate seating. The food is presented nicely, but lacking in taste and creativity. My wife’s gluten free onion soup arrived sans cheese and sans bread; even though they had served us gluten free bread with our appetizer. ? Not very creative chef. The service , however, was great. Our server, Katharine, went above and beyond. Thanks. We will not be back.
The JW Marriott in Grand Rapids is a favorite —it feels like home away from home —-staff is friendly and helpful. While in Turkey, we were guests at a JW Marriott —it appears that wherever there is a JW Marriott, a guest can rely on knowing that all one’s needs are met.
Excellent food and service! Refreshing.
Amazing as always! Our mothers day meal was fantastic thanks to Margaux. We can't wait to come back!
Wonderful brunch at Margaux. We will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our brunch at Margaux, our waitresses were attentive and pleasant to chat with, the food was wonderful! Would go back next time we’re in town!
Phenomenal food and service!! And gorgeous space!!
Salads were good and crisp. Hubby had trout and I had salmon in pastry. Both excellent. Dessert very tasty. Enjoyed it all.
First of all, they lost our reservation for 7:00 so the concierge at JW got us another one at 8:00. The next day, they called and asked which of our two reservations we wanted, 7:00 or 7:45? When we arrived, we were seated promptly, but then waited over 5 minutes for the wait staff, who then left to get us a wine menu, only to return another 10 minutes later. The bread that was brought to us was like a small loaf of crusty crouton; horribly over-baked and dark brown. We ordered the filet and the salmon. It was good, not great. The atmosphere where we sat was rather cold, not at all romantic. I was also disappointed that there was no acknowledgment of my wife's birthday. We won't return.
Great service! Our meals were good but I’m disappointed that a restaurant of this caliber seems surprised and unprepared for vegetarian requests.
Loved the service, food and excellent COVID proticols
Everything was perfect from the food to the service.
We celebrated 2 birthdays. Liz did a great job making us feel special as it was our first time trying the brunch at Margaux. Will definitely be coming back!
Our waitress was very attentive, but also gave us time to ourselves.
The restaurant was kind enough to offer us glasses of champagne to toast to our first anniversary, as well as a special dessert.
Food was excellent, particularly the charcuterie & cheese board.
We’ll definitely be back for appetizers & drinks before a show downtown, or for another special occasion.
Beautiful decor and views of the river. Safety measures in place. Food was excellent.
My husband and I had not been back to the Marriott since Six One Six. This was our first experience dining at Margaux. Atmosphere was fine, service very good and food nothing to write home about. Menu choices were more limited than suggested by the menu on Open table. My husband had the short ribs and I had the Salmon En Croute entree. My husband's portion was small mine was more ample. My salmon dish seemed heavy with the mushroom and pastry and would not order this again. Food was ok and nothing was presented that would make me want to return. No specials offered other than what was on the menu. Caesar salad was ok, too many croutons and lacking in taste.
I can appreciate how difficult the restaurant business is since the Pandemic and hope that they continue to make there way back to speed. I would suggest more fresh ingredients and lighter versions of entrees. For instance. I fresh grilled salmon with a light sauce/local/seasonal vegetable. I wish you well in the ongoing development of your new restaurant!
Excellent and attentive service!
Such a nice surprise in a hotel restaurant! Food and service were great.
Every bite was delicious and the service was excellent. I can’t wait to go back!
The new Margaux which replaced an earlier semi French restaurant has luxe prices and a disappointing delivery. The service was fine by a lovely young lady, but the caesar salad was what you would get at an Olive Garden, and the filet mignon was overdone on the crust and the quality of the meat for the price point was lacking. Overall one would be better off going to Ruth's Chris. the Chop House or the New Hotel Mertens.
Wonderful meal! Food was excellent! Service was even better!
