   The food was excellent especially the French Onion Soup and the Campanella - Wild Boar with Pasta. The service was outstanding and the recommendations by the server were excellent for both food and wine.

   Menu is extremely limited, especially for diners who are gluten intolerant; the martini tasted as if it were made by a bartender unfamiliar with the drink itself; service was mediocre, pleasant but rather slow; and other than the higher level of noise, the experience was OK, but not one I need to repeat anytime soon.

   We enjoyed our breakfast very much! Food was delicious, the servers and omelette chef were super friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was great! It was a beautiful restaurant, comfy seats and benches and beautiful table setting. Just a little laugh… we were 5 minutes late so I apologized to the hostess and said hope it’s ok… she sighs and looks at the reservation list in disgust, pauses dramatically and then says right this way… as if they didn’t have room at 715am with only 2 other guests in the entire restaurant. Surprising response from a higher end restaurant hostess. The servers were plentiful and waiting for guests so there was no need for the hostess to be that way. Besides her, AWESOME experience and I’d happily recommend it! Just leaving an honest review. Oh and try the custom omelets, made by an awesome chef. They were delicious!

   Service great. Salad was incomplete but they comped it. Filet was great but crappy salad with no dressing and fried potato strings you can get from a can. Not worth the price overall. Not likely to go back unless they do a much better job on the dishes.

    We sat at the bar for brunch and Michelle took care of us. She was very officiant and friendly. We ordered the basic your way breakfast and the baked eggs in cream. The baked eggs came out raw and had to be sent back. The basic breakfast was subpar, one egg runny and one bone dry, no consistency. It was a bit of a disappointment for such a fancy place to have less than diner quality food. But the mimosas were tasty and the ambiance and mood of the restaurant setting was lovely.

    The menu was 2/5 and the waiter kept forgetting items I ordered. Great drinks Food felt reheated. Sadly, I had to remind the waiter over and over. Very nice gentleman however kept apologizing about being under staffed.

    We had a very poor and disappointing experience with our 2 Dover Sole Entrees. First, we were served the plain boiled Dover Sole which looked thoroughly unappetizing and the chef's presentation was awful. There was no accompaniments like sauce or vegetables or wild rice. Whenever we have had Dover Sole in the past (which is always), the fish is cooked in the sauce or there is sauce on top of it and it is served with veggies/wild rice. We refused to eat it and sent it back, only to have it returned with the same fish swimming in sauce and 3 florets of broccoli. The fish had turned cold & leathery. We were, of course, extremely disappointed and shocked at this poor quality of food served to us, especially that we had to pay $65.00 for the fish. We will have to think twice before dining at your restaurant next time.

    Went there for my birthday. Started off with Gun Rue old fashioned cocktails, very good, smooth flavor. Then we received complementary bread that seemed a bit stale and hard to chew, like it was reheated. Next we had beef tartare, not the same as it used to be. Instead of a classic preparation it was more like a beef dip with the beef ground very finely and a lot of other ingredients incorporated with it that muted the beef flavor. It wasn't bad, but not what we traditionally consider beef tartare. The mustard potato chips that came with it were fresh and very delicate so you couldn't drag it through the dip but they did melt in your mouth. The French onion soup looked spectacular, the top was covered with melted cheese that was hot and very gooey and the French onion soup had a good flavor, the crouton was unfortunately a pile of mush at the bottom of the bowl, like it was from a previous day and reheated. The stale bread did work as a substitute crouton to make the soup a little better. The salads we had were mixed results as well. The Ceasars with salmon was excellent. Well dressed lettuce with good flavor and a large, perfectly cooked fillet of salmon. The winter salad I got was the opposite, incredibly bland with almost no redeeming qualities. We were offered a complementary chocolate mousse to finish the off the meal that was very good. The service was always excellent.

    Their Caesar salad is, IMO, the best in GR. The Campanelle (wild boar ragout) is, well, AMAZING!!! I crave them both!

    Great bar, bartender and drinks but food menu was lackluster and food preparation was very poor (under cooked, sloppily presented) with the exception of very good truffle fries. Ambience was poor and not consistent with gallery photos.

    Sunday Brunch on New Year's Day can be challenging for any restaurant but Margaux had food ready, was hot when appropriate, many available choices and an omelet chef was onsite. Service for beverages was timely and returned frequently to ensure we had water and coffee pot was full and hot. It was a good experience and I would recommend.

    Wonderful service, food and ambiance. Very expensive New Year's "experience" that was advertised as including wine parings, but then to find out that all the wine was extra. Nearly $500 for a dinner for two.

    My wife and I wanted to go someplace special for our anniversary and Margaux at the JW by the water with all the Christmas lights out was just the ticket! Margaux did not disappoint! The ambiance was great, service was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent! We had the Mushroom Tarte appetizer which was delicious, followed by Caesar Salads and I had the fresh Lake Superior white fish in a wonderful sauce - cooked perfectly and my wife has the Gnocchi with mushrooms - also delicious! They gave us a wonderful complementary dessert with a chocolate mousse covered brownie to top off the experience. We were very pleased with our evening and would do it again!

    5 adults. Wine, specialty Drinks, appetizers, meala. desserts. Only 1 adult was wowed with their meal ( duck). Saiad, 2 chicken dinners truly average. Steak - pepper crust over powered the meat . Literally couldn’t taste meat. Desserts were very good . 3 different ones . No one brought their left overs home. Just disappointed. Nothing was truly special or Memorable enough to want to return and spend that kind of money again

    Ambience was very nice and the staff was friendly. Portions were very small, which would have been ok if the taste was rich and satisfying. Everything was just mediocre which made the pricing too high. I felt this way the first time I went but was hoping that was an off night. I probably will not be going back unfortunately.

    Had dinner there with friends prior to the Holiday Pops Concert. Food was good, service was great, the atmosphere was good and overall a great dinning experience.
