Muy bueno!!!!!!, vale la pena comer ahi, el risotto es delicioso
Always great. Food is excellent.
Good food but way below DANIEL. Taking drinks and wine off the check the cost of the appetizer, entree and desert were overpriced. Not a good value for the money.
A great experience all around: sublime food and polished service in a beautiful and comfortable setting.
Excelente el mejor risotto de mi vida
Great oyster selection
Fusilli with bone marrow and octopus is exceptional
Duck ravioli great
Anchovy probably could be better (perhaps lose the hard bread)
Desert with shaved ice is excellent.
Service is fantastic.
This is a posh restaurant with lots of wealthy clientele... perhaps a bit stuffy but you should be yourself and have fun...!
Everything was superb
Marea is one of the most unique restaurants in the world. It is part of the list of the greatest fish restaurants, on par with Le Bernardin in NYC. BUT what makes it so unique is that you always feel relaxed. There is never any pressure. The staff stays totally unobtrusive. It might be the most beautiful nautical designed restaurant. The wine list( we are former Wine Educators ) is massive but the sommeliers make life so easy by directing you to wines that marry your chosen dishes. We consider Marea the perfect restaurant because there is not one negative to their creation. We had the following: Mediterranean fluke, cucumber, mint/ pacific kanpachi, stonefruit peperonata, pistachio/ Nantucket Bay scallops, salsify, grape, crosnes/ruby red shrimp, chilies, rosemary oil//acquerello risotto, lobster, roasted tomato, marcona almond. A total experience.
Muy bien todo!
The food was delicious and the service outstanding!
Reservation @ 9:15... seated at 9:16👍🏻
Service was outstanding
Food was pricey, but outstanding
Wine selection was pricey, but outstanding
In NYC during the holidays at one of the trendiest restaurants, they made us feel like we were somebody special!
Outstanding food. They are super attentive and look to your every need. I take business customers here and never fails to impress.
I already have recommended Marea and taken many friends to eat there. One of my very favorite lunch spots!
Great food, great service and perfect location!! This is one of our “go to” restaurants in NYC.
always the best!!
Subpar food, waited 30 minutes past reservation time. Does not live up to 2 star Michelin ratin.
Buonissima la pasta. Antipasti poco originali
Marea is a favorite, both dependable and great service. For Thanksgiving, we decided to treat everybody instead of sacrificing a few to do all the work.
The menu was fixed with many choices, something for everyone. While the first course and the primi were both amazing, the secondi fell a little short. In particular, the turkey left quite a bit to be desired (too brined), and the halibut was frankly a bit boring. By dessert though, Marea redeemed itself with all choices being outstanding.
All in all I think it was a wonderful experience, but with the price tag, I wish the main courses were a bit more spectacular.
Como siempre delicioso! Nunca falla y la selección de vinos buenísima ! Siempre es garantía volver.
One of my top favorite NYC restaurants. The best dish on the menu is the pasta with bone marrow and octopus. You would not think it sounds good but it works perfectly. I highly recommend it!!
Marea is my favorite restaurant in the City, a must-go for me every time I am in NY, the food quality is the best and never fail. Love it!
We had a wonderful prod fixed menu for lunch. Service was excellent.
Great place! Top-notch Italian food and impressive service.
An absolute gem of a restaurant. Top notch food and service, attentive and profesional.
Very well planned menu offerings and impeccable execution. 5 well deserved stars.
Trip to NYC for my birthday
We dine at Marea every-time we come to NY and it is always fantastic.
probably the best Italian - Mediterranean in NYC. Ambience is upscale, somewhat modern, with a clientele to match, including heads of business, politics, and celeb A listers. Drinks at the bar are worth an early arrival: hosts are gracious, service is professional, pleasant, and knowledgeable. signature dishes always reliable are: ricci (particularly if from Santa Barbara or Hokaido), polipo with roasted potatoes, fusilli with bone marrow (my favorite pasta addiction) fish of note: (always) branzino (best in NYC) or the sole, both served with contorni. for sweets we prefer the bombolini with dipping sauces, always great. add to the evening the most reliable and knowledgeable expert sommelier on Italian wines (always trust Francisco, always) and you have all the ingredients necessary to keep you returning time and time again.
Food & service was great. The venue was ideal for handling our business discussions
I was really underwhelmed by my experience at Marea, especially considering it is a Michelin Star restaurant. The server was somewhat less than attentive. Although each dish was beautifully presented, the food overall was fine; every dish was too salty. There weren't many flavor combinations that stuck out as unique, and a lot of the ingredients that should have been featured were muted by more cost effective ingredients. The welcoming bite of croquettes were as cold as ice. The bussers/food runners were great, although could be a bit more knowledgable of the aspects of each dish. Waters and bread plates were never empty. Drinks and wine were good. Overall, this was average considering what it should be. I think this would be a fine place to go with a group of friends; the atmosphere was much more modern and lively than I expected. However, I do not see this as the place to go when looking for a fine dining restaurant considering all that NYC has to offer.
Amazing experience, the food was incredible, the waiters were very much cute, they gave us lots of compliments. Really great!
Food is always great and service is friendly.
I like the restaurant for business lunches because it’s spacious and not overcrowded.
Perfection. Every time
Whenever we are in NYC, dinner at Marea is a must. The food is delicious, the service impeccable. A special thanks to Darnell, who always is so welcoming and takes extra special care of us.
The experience was special and a must for foodies who want a taste of the sea!
Just a consistently great Italian restaurant. You can't go wrong here.
It was our anniversary and they surprised us with a complimentary dessert with a happy anniversary sign!
