OPENED FOR DINNER
My daughter was visiting from Las Vegas and she is vegan and so am I …we had a party of 6 ..and everyone else enjoyed their meals.. but my daughter and I couldn’t really get a meal there are not any vegan choices and most restaurants will at least have a pasta primavera..I did try and order penne pasta with broccoli rabe and chick pea but the server got it all wrong.. I wish there were some Vegan choices … it makes it easier to order when it’s on the menu…many people are eating more healthy..
Went for Father’s Day - everything was wonderful. We dined inside - the tables were spaced apart and we felt fine with eating inside. The food was great, had the grilled cheese to share, very crispy with an excellent pesto on top; the shrimp cocktail were huge shrimp! The pasta dishes were cooked perfectly. Creme brûlée was excellent; tiramisu was very good, although prefer more sponge cake.very reasonable prices especially for a Haddonfield restaurant. Service was excellent!! Will definitely be back.
As always, another amazing meal!
Father’s Day dinner was very good!
Meal was kind of average in quality and servers were not particularly attentive. Ambience was somewhat lacking. Not a bad experience but not great either. I'm sure many restaurants are still struggling a bit with the effects of the pandemic so don't want to be too harsh in my assessment.
The service was great and loved the artichoke! I wish my meal had a little more flavor but the pasta was phenomenal!
We shared a Caesar salad which was OK. Both pastas we had were excellent. The cannoli and panna cotta were terrific.
Food was delicious! My husband had the fish special that was amazing. It was grouper with scallops over grilled vegetables. He often orders a special in restaurants but this was this was a bit pricey at $38, but really good!
I had a chicken dish with spinach and sun-dried tomatoes- had 2 large pieces of chicken .
This now is on our list of favorite restaurants
Phenomenal. From the soup to the octupus appetizer, the veal with shrimp entree and impeccable service this was a great meal.
Excellent as always. Best scallops I've ever had.
This place is great! Atmosphere is warm and inviting the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their main priority. Food is absolutely amazing , some italian classics and some twists, and for their prices it’s 100% worth it.
Clean but a bit Sterile. Waiter was Informative, Engaging, Pleasant.
Calamari/Shrimp Appt was Bland, over priced.
Entrees were Tasty. I will go again, for second impression
Everything was Excellent
We chose afternoon Sunday dinner to bring a friend to Mare Monte. Not only does she know wine by region, by taste, by bouquet, but she has friendships with winemakers here and in Europe, and she knows food. Her opinion of our dinner choices: very well done! We shared tender butternut squash ravioli with a surprising mint cream sauce. Not a drop left! This is what bread is for! Trout is a favorite of my friend: it was tender and well prepared. The burrata with watermelon and prosciutto was a refreshing first course appetizer. The crème brûlée dessert was light and just the right size. We cannot keep Mare Monte a secret!
Delicious food in a great location. Sat outside and felt like we were on vacation.
Excellent food and service. I love the new menu!
The food was excellent! I will definitely be back.
Very friendly service
We always have delicious food and outstanding service at this restaurant.
Always wonderful, always fantastic, and I appreciate them so much for outstanding nights out!
Noise level was terrible. There was a table of 4 that was so loud, no one at my table could hear the others speak.
Excellent service and the best homemade pasta in the area!
Happy to try the new menu.
Amazing food and service as always
Everything from appetizers, salads to entrees was delicious
As we walked down the path alongside Mare Monte from the parking lot to the restaurant's entrance, I thought how like the narrow streets of Florence, Italy this was. Except for the red roses all abloom along the path, we could have been on any small via in that Tuscan city. Mare Monte is a welcoming place. The food is exceptional and I'm excited to try so many dishes on the new menu in the weeks ahead. But let me just mention the artichoke antipasti with shaved parmigiano and a truffle tartar, so good - unusual and delicious. Each dish we ordered was creative and well done. Looking forward to another of Chef Genti's creations. Mangiare bene!
Great meal, will go back
Mare Monte has been a consistent favorite restaurant. The Specials are always beautiful and the tests are a visual and culinary delight. Highly recommend this for a quiet dinner or a gathering of family and friends!
Outstanding job by the Mare Monte staff. Very professional and attentive. The food was great and their specials are out of this world!!
I visited Mare&Monte with my husband for Mother’s day! Through all the restaurants in the are We picked Mare & Monte to spend this special day because we absolutely love their fresh and homemade food and also we feel very comfortable with all the staff. Scrumptious gnocchi’s and tiramisu! An absolute gem in Haddonfield!
The hospitality and the food in this place is implacable, wait staff and hostess are so sweet and welcoming. Me and my wife truly appreciate their hard work and dedication. Bravo!
Came here with my family for Mother’s Day.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by two very nice hostesses and were seated right away.
The staff was going above and beyond, especially Jori, our server. He made sure we, and especially my mom, had a fantastic experience on this special day. And Mare Monte delivered, I will tell you that.
Food was flavorsome! We had two pasta specials (pasta in tomato sauce with half lobster on a top, incredible), gnocchi in pesto sauce, and veal special. All the dishes were cooked to perfection, especially veal since it was a big piece. My parents loved the lobster dishes and said it was one of the best lobsters they have ever had. Oh, and by the way - be prepared to get a little messy with lobster, but it’s worth it :D. And last but not least, gnocchi in pesto sauce - what a great combination.
Some other dishes sounded a little extraordinary, but after I talked to our server Jori (what a nice guy) - we learned the chef lived in Italy, finished culinary school there, and worked for many years. That’s why I am not surprised to see unusual dishes on a menu. Chef has a regular menu, and from time to time, he either modifies some dishes or adds new ideas.
In my opinion, it’s a great concept! I am so glad to have such a place here in Haddonfield.
Oh, and desserts, it’s a different topic. Strawberry panna cotta, chocolate crème brûlée, tiramisu, and cannoli. All homemade, by the way. I have tried every single one of these - wow!
Overall my family had a fantastic dinner here - food was delicious and unique(for a true gourmet), great hospitality and service!
Wow! Mare Monte is my new favorite restaurant! The friendliest and most attentive staff I’ve ever experienced. The food was delicious and the desserts were to die for. Will be back!!
Mother's day dinner was excellent. Service was amazing. Servers kept filling water and checking table. They were very informative. I never once had to wave anyone down. Food was delicious and well priced. Definitely going back!
My dad had the veal chop, my mom had the grouper, my sister in law had the mushroom ravioli, my brother had the chicken parm, and I had crab cakes. Nothing disappointed!
Went here tonight to celebrate Mother’s Day with my wife and children. Absolutely did not disappoint. The salad, octopus and spaghetti seafood specials were really good. Also loved the Gnocchi. Leave room for dessert - wonderful choices! The service was excellent and my wife completely enjoyed the evening. Definitely will be back again.
The food is ok... the gnocchi was tasty but forgettable. The real problem was the lack of professionalism and their pathetic response after the hostess spilled a bowl of marinara sauce down the sleeve of my jacket and all over my husband's shoes. Everyone knows that accidents happen in life. Nobody cries over spilled marinara. This unfortunate slip up would've been totally fine but instead, the hostess showed no emotion and took my jacket into the back to "clean it" without allowing me to follow. Meanwhile my husband was attempting to scrub sauce off his shoes and pant leg. I asked the other hostess to please find out about my jacket that had personal items in the pockets. The first hostess then came out with my wet jacket, 'cleaned" with who knows what, handed it to me and (I kid you not) instructed me not to wear it. I had to ask for a bag to put it in so it didn't drip everywhere. We then asked to speak to the manager.
He came over to our table as if it was a chore despite stating he was aware of what'd happened. He offered no apology for the inconvenience. He said, "she's been working for 12 hours"...curious as it was only 3pm and irrelevant to our experience. We asked for the food to be wrapped up to go and for a reduced bill. He said, 'because of this?'...ummm, yes sir, because of this! (Unless you'd like to pay for the dry cleaning instead). He finally agreed, we gave the waiter $20 and we left. I'd welcome a conversation with the owner so he/she can be made aware of who is representing them.
Every aspect of the experience was wonderful, great Mother’s Day experience.
