Mare is and has always been one of my favorite restaurants. The food is exquisite and the presentation is an overall 5 star. The raw bar is the best!
Excellent food, cocktails and service!
Amazing night !
Loved this place! Good gluten free options
This is our current favorite in the North End. We love the outdoor space--the rectractable roof over one part of the dining room is amazing. The firepits are also lovely. Food is wonderful, too. I had the salmon, my husband had the tuna--both were wonderful.
Great ambiance, service and food, but we felt rushed out since they only allowed a 90 min stay. We felt extremely rushed and ate our food quickly. I was catching up with a girlfriend that I hadn’t seen in awhile and we only had time for appetizers. I realize it’s a sign of COVID, but we would have ordered more food and contributed to a larger bill if we had time. Maybe Mare should consider quality guests over quantity of guests.
Our second time to Mare and we love it! The Tiramisu is to die for and every appetizer is delicious! We HIGHLY recommend Mare!
The staff - especially our waitress Judy, went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. Exceptionally accommodating - even with social distancing restrictions in place... food was excellent as well. Will be back!
Held me 40 minutes past my reservation.
Great experience given the limitations around Covid. The limit on table time does make things feel a little rushed but that is the reality as the establishments adjust to maintain business.
Food outstanding, great waiter. The only negative was that they would not seat me without my husband who was parking despite having a reservation. Then once my husband came we still had to wait. Did t see the point of having a reservation.
What a great experience!! The food was excellent, the wine suggestions were spot on and the service was wonderful. We started with oysters and half a chilled lobster. I had the gnocchi, the rest of the party had the veal chop, the seared tuna and the stuffed lobster. Everyone was very happy and we left full with some leftovers. We will be back!!
Every meal I've had here has been excellent!
As always the food and ambiance here are a hit. I had the whole branzino for the first time and it was excellent. Everyone I bring to Mare enjoys it.
While not necessarily “traditional” Italian dining, I think this is the best restaurant in the North End. I live in the neighborhood and eat here 2 or 3 times a month - the seared crusted tuna and veal chop are amazing as are the fresh oysters.
Put up out door heaters!
Great food and service
Very courteous staff
Food was delish
Awesome experience and dining
Server was pleasant, knowledgeable and efficient. Food was delicious. We both had fish - very fresh and delicious. Began with fresh oysters. Great choices! The atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. Always a pleasure to dine here.
Excellent all around!!
Very cute set up (they have couches in the back with fire pits)
Excellent oyster selection
Martinis were fantastic.
Awesome place for outdoor dining in the North End. My go to
The BEST Truffled Tuna I have ever had in my life! Outstanding!
Our go to place for the best seafood with an Italian flair. You will not be disappointed.
Great food. Friendly staff. Recommend reservations. Fills up quickly. Great time.
Love itttt great service
Food is amazing!!!
I would highly recommend
will e back soon
All great. awesome food. Little noise from the tunnel entrants, but manageable.
I was had a good time
The food and service were excellent but the portions were small. The appetizers were small. I was expecting my main course to fill me up but it was also a small portion. I had linguine with clams and it was a small portion of pasta with very small clams in the shell and did not have any chopped clams. For the money, I expected larger portions. I don’t like leaving a restaurant hungry! I’ll go back and try some other dishes.
Great. The noise level was quite and romantic. Just the spot you’d want to choose for “that special occasion” if you know what I mean.
Our waitress was great We had the gnocchi with seafood it was great
Great job in COVID times
Our waiter was excellent & the food over the top delicious! Wine selection is great as well.
Very cool ambience. Busy vibe for fun weekend night. Great Italian wines. Some dishes were a hit, others were not particularly well-executed. Pasta was great. Service was lovely.
THIS IS HIGH ITALIAN CUISINE FROM PEOPLE WHO KNOW IT BEST
Everything was really nice. Food was great except, the lobster dish I had could have used a bit more lobster for the price $30. Service was great, staff was friendly. Overall a great experience and we will go back
Love this place~ Great service and amazing food every time.
Always a great meal. Excellent service. Great ambiance.
Another wonderful meal in the North End, feels like I'm in Italy again! We will be back!
