   It was a great experience throughout. The ambiance was fun yet relaxing. We arrived early and had a cocktail at the bar. Our barmaid knew what she was serving and engaged in the conversation! While the waiter was a little slow to respond because the crowd had picked up, that was the only negative if I had to choose a negative. Oh, and the bathroom was clean!! We will be back because there were too many food choices to experience in one visit. The King of the South was delicious, brussels sprouts were too, and the deviled eggs were tasty (a good experience), not my momma's sweet relish rendition.

   I have dined at Marcus Bar & Grill. Outstanding each time on all issues. My only suggestion is to replace the high-top bar seating with larger bar stools. These were uncomfortable

   Love the space! Really great ambiance. We tried the Deviled Eggs (great) and Cornbread (so good and sweet). For entrees we had the Salmon and Brisket (loved the tender brisket and sauce. The potatoes could’ve used a bit more flavor). Also got a side of Brussel Sprouts (nice and crispy, great flavor - just a smidge of salt would’ve set it off). I got the Gladys mock tail and it was a nice alternative to soda since I can’t drink right now. Overall, food, ambiance, and service was great. We plan to return for brunch!

   Great spot! But food is overpriced ! Shrimp and grits was $28, for 6 shrimp and 4 tablespoons of grits! Do better! But great vibe! There are multiple restaurants next door that are cheaper ! So to grow, make some changes.

   My family and I were super excited to try this new Marcus Samuelson restaurant. The food and service did not disappoint. The collards, burrata salad, and bbq were incredible. Will be on my list of foods I dream about. Service was great and spaced out well to give you time to enjoy each part of the meal. Will definitely return.

   The restaurant was very nicely decorated and had a really good vibe. The food was good but not amazing, at least for me. I had the bbq chicken. My friend had the ribs and said they were delicious. I guess they took to heart some of the earlier reviews about poor service because 2 managers and 3 servers came by to check how things were going and if we needed anything during the meal. The highlight was the chocolate lava cake which was a lot better than these usually are. I would go back because I like the vibe and want them to succeed.

    Our group of three had dinner at Marcus Bar and Grille on Saturday evening, 6/3/2023. I’ll start with what went well; the decor is beautiful, seats were comfortable, good music at an appropriate level, and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. The cornbread and deviled eggs were very good. However, the rest of the meal was extremely disappointing with both the food and service. Drinks: the first aperol spritz had two slices of dried orange in it which I ordered from the bar and it was delicious. During dinner I ordered another aperol spritz which never showed up until I walked to the bar to ask about it (even asking the waiter to check on the order). Apparently there was a “system” issue. The third drink at the end of the night showed up with a bug in it. Management was aware of both issues with the drinks. The second two drinks did not have the garnish with the dried orange slice. The tomato burrata salad had almost no seasoning. The ribeye was ordered medium and came out well done and looked like shoe leather. The burger was ordered medium-well and came out raw in the middle and the fries were grossly over salted. We ordered a side of hush puppies and Mac n cheese with brisket which never arrived with the meal. I asked the waiter for extra butter and jelly to take home with the corn bread, it was not provided. Maybe this restaurant can be turned around with some extensive training but we won’t be back to see if there are improvements.

    Overall, it was great. Under impressed with the french toast (they could be way more decadent). Ribeye was great (and I’m not even a steak eater). Eggs benedict was good. Kyle, our waiter, was very personable.

    Everything about our experience was FLAWLESS. The food was the most intricate, flavorful meal we’ve had in ages. Our server Kyle was among the most attentive and engaging waiters we’ve ever had and the manager Teya (sp?) checked in with us regularly and even provided a complimentary dessert as we celebrated our 21st anniversary. We will be back often and give MB&G our highest recommendation to friends eating in Atlanta!

    Our first time here. The service was very nice and the staff members were very nice and professional. The manager stopped by our table and spoke to us and invited us to check out the back room for group parties. Marcus B&G will go the list for special outings. We had a great time celebrating our anniversary.

    Hostess, bartender, and server were very friendly and hospitable. Patio dining was great and the food was fresh and well seasoned. Our party ordered 4 different entrees and they all looked great. Wings and chips/dip appetizers were great for sharing. Specialty cocktails were also delicious. Would visit again in the future and recommend for any that enjoys southern food with a bbq focus.

    We were all very disappointed. The service was not good. Although it was not busy, they would not seat the first person who arrived because the rest of us were out searching for parking. Although some reviews mentioned valet parking, we could not find it. When we asked our server where it was, she said "I don't know" but didn't try to find out for us. I had to remind her about my side order of brussel sprouts which didn't arrive until I was nearly finished with my entre. Overall the food was good but not excellent. It was not good enough to deal with no parking, poor service, and fairly expensive pricing to come back. I doubt I will ever return and neither would the rest of our party.

    Absolute disappointment with the meal, the service, the overall experience . Took forever and a day to get our meal after we ordered with no apologies from the wait staff. Deviled egg was extremely salty, the brisket was nothing but fat, and did not eat the bread pudding for dessert which the waiter still charged to our ticket after we told him that we didn’t like it and stopped eating.

    Such a great vibe and good menu! I took my friend to brunch and we had a good time. My only complaint is that we made a 2:15 reservation but the kitchen closed at 2:15 so we had to rush to order. Otherwise, great restaurant and I’ll definitely be back!

    Ambience - I enjoyed the artwork. They also play rhythm and blues and some rap music. Food- We came in for brunch and ordered the cornbread, B & G breakfast with jerk bacon (not pictured), and ribeye and eggs. The cornbread was great! Definitely a stand out! My friend's B&G breakfast was nothing spectacular and the jerk bacon was not that great. She said the bacon was really spicy (the kind of spicy where you can't taste anything else). My meal, the rib eye and eggs was supposed to be prepared medium well. It came out burnt. Not well done, but charred up. I could literally taste the char when I took a bite. Ew! How could someone think this was okay to send out the kitchen. The other patrons around us also commented on the fact that it smelled burnt when it was brought over to the table. I ended up ordering the Mac and cheese with brisket. It was good, but this is Atlanta and a good mac and cheese can be found in many restaurants. The brisket is what sets this apart, but the brisket was not phenomenal. I will also note that we wanted to try the shrimp and grits and wings, but they were out of that. Service - is the manager let us know they were short staffed and things were going slow. We never really had a server. Wait times were long to get food. Also, bring served burnt food was not too great either. No one was unpleasant. There was just simply an unbothered approach to service.

    Came last night to celebrate my birthday and had a lovely experience. As a self proclaimed "chili wuss", the fried chicken had a very nice background heat that never became too strong. The cornbread tasted very similar to my late grandmother's recipe, which is an absolutely wonderful surprise and made the evening that much more special. Will definitely be back if I'm in Atlanta again!

    When we arrived the young lady checked us in but no communication after that. There could have been an exchange to how long before our table would be ready or how long it would be before being seated. Upon being seated it took a while before our waiter came over. When we did order we ordered drinks, appetizers and entree at once. Appetizers: Crab cakes and Cornbread both were amazing. Crab cakes were meaty and cornbread was perfection. Service- waiters kept trying to take our plates way too fast with food still on them, with the cornbread we still wanted the compote and they took the plate. Not sure what the urgency was but did not appreciate it. Drinks- were blended well. Had the All the smoke and the other So fresh & So clean. It was a margarita like drink that comes in peach & strawberry. Prefer So fresh & so clean over the All the smoke drink. Entree - seafood Piccadilly was really saucy. Be mindful that it is in a red sauce/tomato sauce so had a spaghetti taste to it. Would not order again. Dessert - bread pudding was underwhelming. If you don’t like your desserts sweet then order this. If I go back will be trying the lava cake instead.

    Great place - will definitely return. Service was good and attentive, but a little slow. Figured that they were all finding there rhythm as this is not a place that's been open for too long. Manager checked in on us re how we enjoyed it - a nice touch. Food was all very good; deviled eggs are a must have - a signature dish. As are chicken and waffles. About 65 % of the dishes have some degree of spice/heat, so if mild is your thing, choose thoughtfully. But a good place, great food and hope it succeeds.

    We went for brunch. All four of us agree that the everything wings were the best menu items ordered. The steak and eggs were supposed to come with chimichurri. That did not happen. The steak would have benefitted from salt, but there was none on the table. The wedge salad was good, but needed more dressing. The eggs benedict was good and a large portion. The bread pudding was recommended. It was good, not great. The buttermilk tarte was good not great.

    I expected a good experience, but was very disappointed. The host was not very pleasant as they attempted to sit me at a high table instead of a standard table. Then suggested an hour wait for another table, only to be seated 10 minutes later where she said it was reserved. However, my server, Mya, was kind and professional. The food was underwhelming. The dishes didn’t have much flavor. They were pretty average to me. Not a pleasurable dining experience. There’s room for improvement. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you are a person interested in the vibes rather than the food.

    excellent service 10 out of 10. very attentive but allowed to take our time. food was good. environment was beautiful, modern with old school accents. Music was everything. neighborhood blocks away from MLK Jr birth place was very historic and hip.
