   Very cozy little place and quite busy (Saturday dinnertime). The cocktails and food were very tasty and well presented. Limited menu, probably because the kitchen is not large. Overall, a good experience to recommend.

   After waiting an hour for our food, we had to ask the waiter when we were going to be served. It appeared there was a disconnect between the waiter and the kitchen staff. Additionally, the waiter brought the wrong order to me. My husband and grandchildren ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffles were overcooked and very hard and the fried chicken was likewise. The grandchildren also said that the chicken was too spicy.

    My lamb entree was good, but it wasn’t hot (temperature). That’s crazy considering we were literally sitting right in front of the kitchen.

    It’s something about Marcus that will always have me coming back for years. It’s an amazing representation of how I seek NWK and it’s artist.     My husband and I took his Mom to Valentine's dinner at Marcus B&P last night, and what a great night we had! Our server, Sandy (or Sandi?) was absolutely fantastic! She was really friendly and helpful while still being a total professional. My husband and his Mom had the Valentine's special Surf & Turf - a gorgeous short rib with grilled shrimp, cauliflower puree and collard greens. They both loved their meals - I had a taste and, yum!! I had the Chicken and Waffles, and it was to die for! Crispy, deeply flavorful outside, perfectly moist inside. The waffle was exactly perfect and the house-made pickles were SO good - made the dish come to life! In addition, the energy was great in the restaurant, excellent music and yummy cocktails too! Can't wait to return.

    The three different meals we ordered were quite tasty and came in a timely fashion. The drinks were a bit weak though. I loved the selection of the bread in the bread basket but i wish it was warm— not in a microwave. Appetizers great Wings over the top delicious. And im a wing girl!

    Unfortunately, this experience fell short of expectations. I've dined at Marcus B&P before, mainly around the time when the restaurant first open, and was always blown away! During this visit, our food was lukewarm and some of it tasted old. The bartender was extremely slow (though it was not busy on a Saturday night); our drinks were not served at the same time and I waited an additional 5-7 minutes for mine. Our waitress was nice and accommodating. Apparently the restaurant has changed management a few times, which I lend to why this visit was not up to par. I'm not sure if I'd go again. It definitely isn't worth what we paid, but I wish Marcus B&P much success.

    I had the vegetarian jerk cauliflower dish and it was delicious. The spices were perfect and the dish was filling. My date had the salmon and wings which were very satisfying. The cornbread/biscuits basket is a must and the star of the show! I could eat it every day. Our waitress was very attentive and really nice. Our drinks were very good and the rosemary and cranberries in the ice were such a cute little detail.

    We were going to NJPAC so we chose this restaurant for it's proximity and because we're huge fans of Chef Marcus (from TV). Overall, the experience was delightful,. We were greeted warmly when we entered and everyone made us feel right at home. I had the chicken and waffles. I asked for dark meat but was advised that the dish only came with white meat, so that's what I got. It was fabulous! Delicious and juicy boneless chicken breasts. My husband ordered the short ribs and they were also quite tasty. The 2 biggest disappointments were the chicken trio appetizer and the charge for water: The chicken app just tasted plain and too lightly seasoned. From it's description, we were expecting 3 distinctly different chicken items. It wasn't that. It was 3 meatballs (bland) covered with a tomato sauce stewed chicken and brussel sprouts. I'm still unclear what the 3rd item in the "trio" was supposed to be. The cornbread was delicious and perfect! Our waitress asked us if we wanted sparkling or still water. We requested "still" water and were surprised to see a $7 charge for a bottle of water. It was a very nice looking bottle of water, but when we requested "still" we just figured that meant tap water, as is usually the case in USA restaurants. My suggestion to the restaurant management team: Have your Servers ask diners if they prefer bottle or tap water. If they choose bottled, offer still or sparkling. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tastefully, thoughtfully decorated, clean and lovely restaurant.

    I made a reservation for 2 one vegan. The restaurant was out of the vegan option cauliflower and out of the vegetarian pasta. I had a salad that was very tasty and caramelized carrots. They were both very good. For desert they were also out of the bread pudding. The waitress was very nice and offered banana pudding dessert on the house. Waitresses were always super polite and nice. Looking forward to go back to try a vegan dish.

    Had an early-ish reservation before and event at NJPAC. The restaurant was very lively particularly the bar area. Good vibe and friendly welcome. The primary issue and reason for the average rating was insufficient staff which resulted in very slow service. Despite having allowed an hour and a half for dinner, the main course took so long that we were somewhat rushed to finish and pay. The food was above average although for a Marcus Samuelson restaurant, not great and the menu is somewhat limited (particularly vegetarian options). Super convenient for going to a show at the PAC but not a dining option I’d go out of my way for otherwise.

    Server was told that the burger should have no cheese, and no fries, Just replace with salad and no cheese. It came with cheese and fries. A small salad was added. The price was good. The salmon, I heard, was fabulous. I liked the vegetables.

    We had a nice early dinner prior to a Devils game. It was the first time back in a few years - nice to see it remains a great option for dinner. Also nice to see additional businesses opening around the old Hahne’s building.
