   Four of us met for lunch at 11 AM on a holiday Monday. Service was excellent. We had a reservation, and our reserved table was in a back corner, which was odd, since there was an available table at the window, which would have been brighter and more pleasant. The main problem was the noise level. I don't have a hearing loss, but it was very difficult for us to hear each other. Sadly, it is not likely we will go back, unless we can find a quieter time of day. Otherwise, it's a lovely place.

   Easily accommodated our large party of 11. Fantastic menu choices. Food was pretty good. Fish tacos need an alternative tortilla as they disintegrate easily. The truffle fries were amazing. The kids loved the mini waffles (would recommend less whipped cream as it seems most gets wasted, and maybe more strawberries)! The wait staff was wonderful and kept checking on us frequently. Great place for any type of group. Can’t wait to go back! Thank you, Marcos Cafe.

    Overall experience was good. Food as always was good and the waitress was attentive. Drinks coming from the bar were slow. Also one had a generous pour and the other was barely worth the effort

    Osso Bucco was delicious, as was the polenta. Would have been nice to sit within view of the musicians.

    Marco's continues to be a cozy place with outstanding service (our server was very attentive, friendly and went above and beyond for us...I wish I could recall her name!) Super cute short black curly hair if that helps you praise her for excellent service. The food was served quickly and prepared just right (loved the gluten free options easily available too.) It is a bit more expensive than some other local Portland breakfast places but the Multomah Village address may justify that...arrive early to get parking!

    A charming local favorite. Very tasty brunch and quick service, especially considering how full the place was. Very kind servers too. Parking is always tricky so plan a little extra time.

    Our lunch at Marco's was great as always. I was greeted warmly by staff and the lunch specials were good choices. It was great to share sparkling wine with my friend and catch up for the holidays. Thank you Marco's!

    Six of us had a delightful time at Marco’s celebrating a birthday last week. For reasons beyond our control a few had to come late and others had to leave early. But our waiter made it work beautifully. The menu is wonderfully varied and we all enjoyed what we ordered. The waiter made it easy for us to split the check. Multnomah Village is such a fun place to shop. Want to hurry back.

    Returned to Marco’s for dinner. Decided to have the patty melt because i love a good one and I have had several good ones at Marco’s in the past. I asked for it to be cooked medium. When it arrived it was greasy, the meat was red in the middle and instead of grilled yellow onion it had stringy red onion that you couldn’t even chew. The server noticed I wasn’t eating it, so I explained everything that I thought was wrong with it. She returned it to the kitchen and the manager did not charge me for the meal. My companions meal was delicious and the potato salad that came with the patty melt was very good also.

    Fun to go back in time. I lived in Hillsdale area for 17 years. Marco's has always been a favorite. Only concern is I used to be able to order 1/2 of the walnut, tarragon chicken salad; had to order full size.

    My husband liked his southwest salad so much we came back the next day for lunch. The food is fresh and prepared in-house. One of our party had huevos rancheros (thumbs up), I had veggie quiche (full of veggies). Service is friendly and efficient!

    After so many very good to good meals there, our most recent visit was painful to experience. We are very aware of the staffing and supply related issues faced by all restaurants. Ownership must accept responsibility for determining what menu items can be successfully served and what needs to be temporarily struck “86” until the essential ingredients are procured or the culinary staff has the skills to do it right. One example: the French Dip sandwich, according to the menu was supposed to be served on a Grand Central baguette, prime rib au jus. There was no baguette, the meat was something indistinguishable and the au jus was virtually tasteless. With today’s menu prices being what they are, it may be awhile before we return.

    The food was great, but service wasn’t great. The check was dropped off with asking if we needed anything else. There was an online app to pay, but I didn’t see an option to split a check with another guest. I had to go find someone to order desert. It’s a nice place and the staff are friendly the food tastes good, but disappointed on the service.

    It took some time before we were greeted. We were not asked if we had a reservation, thus they didn't know we had reserved through Open Table. Our menus were on the table and our drink order was taken promptly, but a glass of beer and a glass of wine took a very long time in arriving. I was almost ready to leave when they arrived at the table. Only then was our food order taken and we learned that one of the first item on the menu was no longer available. The food took a little longer than I thought was necessary and was just OK, not worth returning for. I know that complaining about the delays sounds picky, but there were only 3 other tables occupied by customers at this time - not busy at all, just incompetent.

    Disappointed... I last ate here 20 years ago and really enjoyed it. I remembered it as a quaint little place with loads of personality and great food. Seems it hasn't been updated, cared for or - gulp - cleaned since. Not impressed.

    Came here for Mothers Day. Their check in process is very annoying due to what I’m guessing is an understaffed restaurant. We signed the sign in sheet as directed and tried to tell the server that we had an OpenTable reservation. She scowled and said “we don’t take reservations on Mother’s Day. I said that OpenTable had allowed us to make a reservation and she shrugged and walked away. Safe to say this restaurant does not pay attention to OpenTable!! The food was very good. Their servers need more help and they would greatly benefit from a dedicated host. Especially on holidays!
