We've been going here for special occasions for over 10 years, the food, service and overall value for what you get is tremendous. This is truly one of the few world class restaurants in Marin County.

For the price the portion sizes are ridiculously small. The flavor of the gnocchi was very good but the steak was very under seasoned. Looked around and not everyone looked contempt with their meals, so good to know it wasn't just me. Overall wouldn't go back or recommend it. You will find better food in less pretentious restaurants.

The dining room is very small, and there were too very large parties going on---one of about 10 people and the other of at least 15. The noise level was almost unbearable. We won't go there again on a Saturday night---maybe not even on a Friday.

Food was not well prepared and overly expensive. It tasted like it had been made days before it was served. I am sad because I used to like this restaurant but the past two experiences have been dreadful

The owner/hostess helped patrons that were clearly regulars before us even though we were there first waiting to be helped. We were then sat at a four top even though we were just two and then asked to move to a two top in the middle of the dining room right next to a party of 20 people. We said we didn't want to be by the large party and wanted to stay at the table we were originally sat at and they said we had to move. I am a event planner at a restaurant and if any of my staff ever did this to our patrons they would be written up. Totally unprofessional, clearly this restaurant is not interested in customer service but only profits.

We love this neighborhood restaurant and always have great food, but their New Year’s Eve Prix Fixe menu was so awful, my husband and I were shocked. The service was great, as usual, but the food bordered on inedible. So disappointing.

One of the five best restaurants in Marin. Consistently high quality and flavorful food with beautiful presentation. Holly is a delight in front of the house and Dan cooks like a master. Always excellent.

Always love going here and do not do so enough !
I loved the gnocchi and the mushrooms as well as my salad of escarole and beets.

This is an upscale restaurant in an upscale neighborhood. It’s charm is that it’s family owned and run by a married couple with children who work hard to keep it going. My husband’s been going here for years, and had fond memories of bringing his daughter’s, so we reserved a table for a larger party/special occasion to celebrate. The table they gave us was situated near the door and was chilly. There was no linen (like the rest of the tables) and felt a bit bare. But the real disappointment was that our server completely missed the mark and forgot us repeatedly so that we had to flag her down to ask for basic things. She apologized nicely - each time- but it really brought the vibe way down. Later, when we sent a private message to the owners to let them know, they were curt and offered to refund us for a desert. It was weird. Anywho, the food was good - not amazing- and the place is fine. Probably won’t go again.

Had a wonderful table in the corner and had a delicious meal. Only drawback was the$4.00 charge For a taste of wine and then another $16.00 for the glass I bought after I liked the taste. Seems ripe off -ish but the rest of existence was very good ,

I have dined outside here and enjoyed it immensely but dining inside in December is less appealing-too noisy. It was a busy Friday night and our waitress handled the table and our spilled wine with grace. The crab hors d’ouerve was not up to the sales pitch. Everything else was good.

As usual, Holly and Dan the ever gracious hosts delivered a delicious meal in a friendly and comfortable setting. Tonight they held a fund raiser for a food repurposing organization called ExtraFood and they donated a percentage of the evening’s checks. We started with an avocado toast that was so fresh tasting and vibrant. My wife had the Halibut and I had the Duck confit and we couldn’t stop raving about our dishes. My wife always gets the warm chocolate cake and as it’s so delicious that she’s reluctant to share. Like Holly and Dan, the rest of the staff is warm and knowledgeable about the dinner and the wines.

I so wanted to love this local restaurant. It is a charming space with outdoor dining in the summer that looked lovely. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the ambiance. The cauliflower soup was so bland it was almost inedible. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper for it to taste better than paste. The gnocchi were overcooked as so many place do. The noise level was deafening--I can usually hear in any restaurant but found myself straining to hear both of my guests. It is unlikely I will be back very soon.

Excellent food (try their meatballs! Wednesdays only), charming atmosphere, excellent service. Our server went above and beyond to accommodate dietary issues. Love this place.

Food was not good. Burger was just ok and soup was terrible. Drinks were not delivered until after food arrived and we asked again for them. And then they were still slow in coming. Restaurant said they were sold out of burgers when we were ordering but then 15 minutes later said three were available for the next table.

Nice ambiance and a well presented menu yet their was no "wow" with the dishes we had. Octopus was well cooked and tasty yet it was served with way too spicy (harissa) beans and veggies that overshadowed the octopus. Bacon wrapped dates were very good but just 3 dates!? Come on. Cauliflower soup was good as was the halibut. Good but not very good. Too small list of wines by the glass (6 total). Those choices were well made and paired nicely with the dishes. Servings were quite small and prices high ($30-40 per entre).
Lastly the service was spotty. They appeared under staffed. Server had to be reminded twice about a few things. Wine glass was empty for 10 minutes with no one checking on us.

Great little find in Ross Commons excellent food good wine list outdoor seating pleasant staff would definitely recommend and honnack again !!!
