Marcel's by Robert Wiedmaier is DC's premier fine dining establishment for over two decades. During Covid we have been open and closed numerous times with very little notice and doing our best to keep up the times. We profoundly thank our customers who return everytime after we reopen, who have generously donated to our employee fund and purchased RW Restaurant Group gift certficates. One day soon, we hope to return driving you to Kennedy Center for their fabulous shows and concerts, hosting your private parties and work functions and seeing your maskless smiles. For the time being, we are open five evenings a week with limited capacity and offering a curbside three-course dinner.

                                                                      The fixed menu offers many interesting choices and there is certainly not a problem finding something that you would like. The food is beautifully presented and full of flavor. We had the hamachi, lamb, duck breast, foie gras, red snapper, scallops and boudin and the cheese plate. Everyone loved everything that they ordered. The service was well done, although we did have a long wait between our first and second course. There is a amuse bouche served at the beginning of the meal and a little chocolate dessert at the end of the meal, which is a very nice touch. We would love to see a a la carte menu added so that we could enjoy Marcel more often.

                                                                      We were on the hunt for the best restaurant in DC, and Marcel's might just be that. Unbelievable food, great wine list, classic decor and wait staff that clearly are experts in the food and drink. Expect to pay a premium, but expect the very best in dining, too.
