   Beautiful setting, romantic atmosphere, attentive staff, and excellent food. All four courses for both of us were superb. Nothing on the menu disappointed.

   The fixed menu offers many interesting choices and there is certainly not a problem finding something that you would like. The food is beautifully presented and full of flavor. We had the hamachi, lamb, duck breast, foie gras, red snapper, scallops and boudin and the cheese plate. Everyone loved everything that they ordered. The service was well done, although we did have a long wait between our first and second course. There is a amuse bouche served at the beginning of the meal and a little chocolate dessert at the end of the meal, which is a very nice touch. We would love to see a a la carte menu added so that we could enjoy Marcel more often.

   This was a delightful experience for me and my friends. We were all celebrating major events in our lives . We chose the tasting menu with 6 courses. Each course was better than the earlier one. Each entre's delicate tastes and seasonings gave us a true gastronomical extravaganza. Arlene

   Not the Marcels of years past. Service was strange, overly prying and too talkative. Food was sub-par. Never again.

    We were on the hunt for the best restaurant in DC, and Marcel's might just be that. Unbelievable food, great wine list, classic decor and wait staff that clearly are experts in the food and drink. Expect to pay a premium, but expect the very best in dining, too.
