   Some food was bland and could use more salt while other food was overly salted and oily Arancini could have used more salt and less oil Ravioli was overly salty and oily Pizza was the best thing on the menu but not great Strawberry balsamic martini was too bitter, wasn’t able to finish it. Fresh baked bread was good but too flat. Meatball was too soft and lacked flavor, sauce could have used more salt and character Carpaccio was awful and had to be sent back Server was very good and friendly other than seemed off when sending back the martini. Her attitude changed slightly in a defensive manner.

   I had a great experience at Marcella in the Short North. The atmosphere was chic but welcoming, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The food and cocktails were beautifully presented and full of flavor—definitely a spot I’d return to for a night out or special occasion.

   I had lasagne and my hubby had fettuccine with a giant meatball. We both feel that this food was top notch, very tasty.

   This was my second visit but the first for my girlfriend. We ordered Arancini as an appetizer and it was incredibly delicious. My girlfriend ordered fettuccine with their veal meatball, I ordered the veal piccata with polenta. The polenta was out of this world but the veal piccata needed more garlic and lemon. The veal was probably one of the most tender pieces of veal I’ve ever had. My girlfriend liked her meal but thought it needed a bit more salt. The service was not all the bad considering that it was a prom night for many local high schools. We did however have to ask twice for Parmesan cheese. We ordered tiramisu for dessert. It was ok but nothing to write home about. We only ate half of it.

   Tasty, fun and a great time ! pasta : get the carbonara !! pizza: shrimp and goat cheese apps: arancini - ALWAYS , shrimp oreganata, and the bruschetta . Service is always fast and friendly! This is my go to spot for Happy Hour and weekend dinners.

    Short north with nearby parking. Service was great and a varity of Itilian options. Can be a little load for easy table talk.
